Marvel’s first Netflix series, Daredevil follows the exploits of Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer whose other senses are superhumanly enhanced, which helps him fight crime in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. The origin story is the first step is an expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is being positioned as a means of setting up a Defenders series down the road.

So, there wasn't a thread for this show. That needed to be rectified.
I finished season one today, and while I had mixed feelings about the series during the first few episodes, it definitely turned around into something amazing once the second began. The acting and writing, overall, have been fantastic. And Fisk is probably - okay no, he is the best MCU villain there has been thus far. It also took a very dark turn as opposed to the formulaic universe that it's apart of, which was very much needed. Watch this, guys!

I agree about Fisk. I think he was what "Arrow" tried and failed to do with Malcolm Merlyn -- someone who did terrible things for the right reasons. Plus, I really connected with the guy. It wasn't until he murdered you-know-who and the big climactic battle begun where I was rooting against him. I like understanding characters and getting inside their heads and I appreciate that being extended to the villain of the story. My favourite episode was probably Nelson v Murdock because their relationship was one of the highlights of the show for me and that episode did a good job of showing someone's reaction be completely justified with their experiences (unlike Pete finding out Clark's secret on Smallville and turning into one of the worst characters of the show). Lastly, Karen was a huge stand-out for me. I like that she was so detached from everyone else in the first half of the season, and then when things started coming together, her arc was just ridiculous. It all came together, and how she fell into the A Story -- and took her arc with her -- was just incredible. I'm so happy the show was renewed for a second season, and hopefully I can digest episodes quicker this time around now that I'm a fully fledged fan of the show

FOGGY AND MATT'S RELATIONSHIP IS THE BEST PART OF THIS, OH MY GOD.
