Alright I am getting pissed off at people for thinking that vampires 'Sparkle'! I mean really? Im here to prove a point that Vampires are bad ass. When they go out in the sun they burn. Thats the question I ask! Wheres Edward burning? I would love to see that. LMAO! But well I'm going to ask what you hate about Twilight and What do you think of Today's Vampires? Leave a comment below!

You could never get me to read/watch Twilight. I would gauge out my eyes and cut my wrists, before you could get me interested in it. I think it is a load of crap; and is for girls - no offense Brian, lol. I know some guys like the film, but me being a fan of Joss's vision, I believe in the vampires that appear on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel. I think the best vampires are from these franchises:
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer
-Angel
-Blade (The Trilogy)
-The Vampire Diaries (A tad unusual, but still pretty believable)
-Moonlight
Vampires should be feared. They shouldn't sparkle.

Ya, I'm gonna have to agree with Jack on this one. Twilight vampires are just...idiotic. I made the mistake of watching Twilight, or at least half of it...I wanted to throw put afterward. Seriously? Sparkling Vampires?? Unbelievable.
You've got a pretty nice list of the best vampire franchises Jack, although I would personally have to add True Blood vamps to the list. I believe it's the best vampire based t.v show since Buffy/Angel.

I think Twilight is Mary Sue and clearly for little girls. That said, sometimes bad fiction can be amusing. As far as vampires, the best ones are the Joss-verse vamps. I have never seen Tru Blood or Diaries so I have no opinion yet on those... BUT WHAT ABOUT LESTAT FROM INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE?  ?? Loved him. And Dracula/ His brides in Van Helsing were pretty cool and entertaining. |

I don't know how to say it but I am a Twilight fan. There I said it. But in my opinion I think the movie sucked because of Robert. He totally just killed it. Also the whole vampires sparkle in the sun and the whole "this is the body of a killer" thing is just stupid. What were they thinking. Still I'm waiting for Eclipse to come out. So in conclusion today's vampires are okay but take away the whole sparkle. Oh and Robert Pattison is the worst actor of our generation!!!!!

I think vampires should be more classy and not sparkle i like the ones out of underworld more believable than the ones in twilight at-least they bite people.And there eyes are brilliant

Damn, I forgot about UNDERWORLD vampires. And I claim that as my favorite movie! I should be ashamed of myself. *hides in corner*
But I agree, the vamps in Underworld were pretty kick ass. Just watched Moonlight the other day, and it was pretty good. So, I'll add that to my list.

Leave a comment below! I completely agree. And pointing out what's wrong with Twilight would take me hours to do. "The Vampire Diaries" did Vampires SO MUCH BETTER. They're cool. They don't sparkle. There are strong female characters (unlike in "Twilight"). Edit: Oh, how could I forget "Underworld"... "Underworld" is without doubt my favorite Vampire movie. It was done so nicely and feels so cozy... and that whole world, and the characters in it, felt so well created and designed. I just love it! |

Here's a way: I'm really getting bored of Vampires. I just don't care about them anymore, i've seen them again and again and I just don't care anymore. Twilight may be part of the reason but that isn't really about Vampires, rather fairies believing themselves to be something frightening. Other shows/movies/books are just becoming the same.
I'm sick of vampires. Also werewolves. I wanna see some different paranormal creatures, like what you see on Supernatural and X-Files.

^I'll have to second that. I love Vampires, when they're done right... but now, they're EVERYWHERE and 90% of the time it's shit. Yes, some different paranormal creatures would be nice to see for a change.
