American Horror Story is an American horror television series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Described as an anthology series, each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a disparate set of characters and settings, and a storyline with its own "beginning, middle, and end."
The first season, subsequently subtitled Murder House, takes place in Los Angeles, California during the year 2011 and centers on a family that moves into a house haunted by its former deceased occupants. The second season, subtitled Asylum, takes place in Massachusetts during the year 1964 and follows the stories of the inhabitants of an institution for the criminally insane. The third season, subtitled Coven, takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana during the year 2013 and follows a coven of witches who face off against those who wish to destroy them. The fourth season, subtitled Freak Show, takes place in Jupiter, Florida during the year 1952 and centers around one of the few remaining American freak shows.

I would have to say my favorite character.. is a tie between two. Constance and Moira. Constance because I LOVE Jessica Lange, she is just a beautiful woman whose acting skill is smooth as butter. I cannot stop watching her. No Matter WHAT kind of character she plays. And Constance is so down right fowl and amazing, and switches between those two throughout most of the first season. I like her, then hate her, like her, then hate her. It's a battle with myself that makes her character so perfect and wonderfully executed. Moira is my love because she is just an amazing addition to the cast. The way she helps Doctor Harmon really see what is going on in the Murder House, and the means she does to help him. They are sexy, extreme and play well to the role she was believed to be when she past on.
my favorite episode was the last one. I thought it really all came full circle together, and I cannot stop watching it. All the twists and excitment. It was soooo worth watching the entire season for. A GREAT beginning to what could be an amazing series. If they do decide to make another season. However, I will be happy with how they ended the one season they made.
My least favorite character? Hayden, for sure. It's not that she was a terrible part, she was just such a dreadful bitch, I couldn't stand her XD But she did such an amazing job at playing that role, I don't really dislike her all that much.

American Horror Story was great. I still haven't seen the finale, but I've heard enough spoilers/reviews on it to get the general idea of how it wrapped. My favourite character from the first season was Moira, I loved the creativity behind her character and the way she'd interact with others, and how others saw her. Once she started to be protective of Vivian, that's when she really became my 'favourite.'
I'm looking forward to the next season -- I'm excited to see what they'll do with the show, and where they'll take it. I kind of love how the first season set up mysteries, and always came back to solve them, or introduce more layers to them. It was really fun to watch.

Ooooo! I LOVED this show! I thought it was great!
My favorite character would be Vivian. I thought she was a strong woman who wasn't just gonna be like typical story women and get hurt and need help. She did great with those people trying to kill them in that one episode with the intruders.
My least favorite character would have to be..... Violet. I don't like angry teenagers that think they know everything. xD and she had enough attitude to fuel a whole city. However, I thought she came to as the end of the season came. I liked that twist. It was a SHOCK.
Favorite episode would have to be.... I don't know, I cannot decide, they were allllll so good!

I just finished season one in two days! It took me a while to watch this show, but better late than never. I really liked the first season; the story and the characters were so great to watch, and I'm interested to see how they'll bring back that same quality with season two. I plan to start watching "Asylum" today! XD

^^ Don't get me started on those opening credits! I watched the first episode of season two earlier, and those credits are just as terrifying as the first! God, I bet whoever edited them STILL gets nightmares. LMAO So far, I'm really liking "Asylum." It's great to see actors like Jessica Lange and Evan Peters back in the show, even if they're playing different characters. That's something I find really unique and interesting about this show. I wouldn't be surprised if I got caught up with the entire season before the end of the week. It's that good! XD

Season two was surprisingly great, even how crazy it was. I really hated how the season ended though. The finale was definitely my least favorite episode of the season. I'm really looking forward to season three and I'm more than sure they'll be focusing on witchcraft on the third season. There's been lots of clues all over the second season and I really hope it'll be as good as the first two seasons.

I think I maybe the only person who loved the first season and hated the second season. I just found their storylines were all over the board. There's aliens, and demons, and angels, and psychos, and mutants, and Nazis and I just couldn't attach myself to any of the storylines. Not too mention the first half of the season was practically just one big orgy. I'm not a prude, don't get me wrong, but it felt like they were trying too hard to be controversial with all the sex in this season. The acting was great as per usual, but the plot was just too chaotic for my liking. Season one will stick out as my favorite season thus far. Hopefully season three is able to redeems itself to me or I maybe giving this up entirely.

American Horror Story Coven.... well that premiere was pretty good. Really didn't see much of what happened coming, which is great. Love that ending, and the promo for next week looks great! Jessica Lange is amazing already. She's always been my favorite of the cast. Kathy Bates is a standout too. We didn't get to see too much of Angela Bassett, which was disappointing, but also understandable. I look forward to seeing her in future episodes.

Anybody checking out Freak Show? It's probably my least favorite out of the four stories, from where it is right now at least. I just don't find these season scary... at all, besides Twisty the Clown and Dandy, which aren't even very scary - just creepy. I was also really disappointed in the first part of the Halloween episode, "Edward Mordrake" because I found it... pretty boring. I'll definitely finish out this season in hopes that it can turn its self around. Maybe if Ryan Murphy stepped down... that could work.

I'm waiting for Netflix to put on season 3. I was kind of mixed with season 2. S4 looked better in the previews than what S3 looks like. I'm still anxious to see it though.

Season 3 has to be my favorite season so far (although the finale was god-awful). I have to agree with Brady. Season 4 is a total bore. In fact, this show has never really lived up to my expectations of what it should be, but every year I continue to watch it. It's a vicious cycle.

Yeah I was expecting way more when I started this show. Season one was okay because the show was starting out and it was new and not really knowing what to expect and then Season two which lost my interest several times. I think it would be a good idea to do but I think it would be difficult to pull off correctly.

Freak Show still remains a disappoint for me. There have been a couple of really good episodes, this past one included, but where is the horror element? It's really lacking this season, despite whenever Dandy is on screen. *sigh* There's still time for improvement, I guess.
