Excited to see how the story ends, any chance of some end of year updates 🙌 Great work so far Jack. Thank you! I'm excited to finally wrap things up. Right now, I'm still breaking all the story for episode 10 and fleshing out some of the story beats for mid-season that sort of thread in and out of these next batch of episodes. I wasted a little time trying to get a third and final Christmas Special episode out in time but only managed to get two acts written (guess I can save it for XMAS 2021 if the world hasn't ended by then). I'm keen to post some more spoilers here in the coming weeks, too! Thanks again for all the support

Hey guys,
I couldn't seem to find the final draft/edited version of 'Court' (episode 4) I had saved and ready to go, so I'm going back through the episode to edit so I can post next week. Everything else in this first run should run smoothly (knock on wood).

So, I was going to wait to read the first five or six episodes together... Yeah, that didn't happen Downloaded the first three the other day, and today I finally had some time to read 5x01. All I can say... WHOA! "Watchtower" is BACK, BABY!! Thank you for reading, and leaving me some feedback! I appreciate it. This makes me so happy. I really wanted that first scene to mirror the pilot opener, but instead of Chloe feeling lost and navigating this big event on her own, we're years in the future where she's now with her child and at peace with her life. I was a little worried about the slow-burn nature of the premiere, but I'm happy to hear that revisiting Gotham and all these characters through Chloe's eyes seemed to work. I'm glad the pre-pilot flashbacks were satisfying! I like the whole "in order to get to the end, we need to go back to the beginning" type vibes in final seasons, so it's something I wanted to do for Watchtower. I always forget that I started writing this before Smallville had even finished, and so there's always been some continuity issues to buffer out. Outside of smoothing some of those edges, I thought it was just a nice way to parallel the events in the present - where Chloe was returning to Gotham - with a story of how she ended up moving to Gotham in the first place. From that, we got to see Chloe and Perry's first meeting (since Smallville, of course) and see Emil's descent and how quickly things turned between him and Chloe in the fallout of Tess' death. Again, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed them! Thank you. Aw, I really hope so. I'd hate to wrap things up with a dud of a last season, hahaha. There's certainly more freedom in Season 5 to accomplish that, because instead of being at a point in the story where you're only in year two or year three of Bruce being Batman, or the Justice League having only just come together, it's 10-12 years beyond all these characters having embraced their destiny, and so I get to create actual endings for all these characters and these stories. Hope you enjoy what's to come. Thanks again, Alex
