Hey all,
Thank you for your candor and openness about your thoughts on the current state of the forum. It is an obvious fact that the VPN is not as active or involved as it was many years ago, and I think that is due to a multitude of factors in many folks personal lives that don't necessarily need to be shared in the space. That being said, I do want to dive a little bit deeper into some of the concerns that have been expressed in this thread so far.
Beacon Hallows. I truly love that we received a new and updated pitch for a series that Matthew clearly has a ton of passion for. I will say, I am absolutely apologetic that I did not comment on the previous iteration of the pitch. Regardless, this new one shows how much preparation there was, and I was excited to see a pilot for a deeper look into where the series was going to go. Now, a point that was touched was that Beacon Hallows should be picked up. I can't disagree, because I haven't read the pilot yet. It was posted about 48 hours ago, and my logging into the forum today was the first time I had seen it posted. I will try my best to read it as soon as possible, but, I think, if someone is so strongly adamant that it's picked up, they can also post their support and feedback in the pitch for all to see. As long as I have been on the forum, there has always been a pilot posted with a pitch that is intended to be picked up. While the picked up show may have never posted their actual "premiere" pilot, though, is a different point.
There was also discussion of there being a lack of love and support around the forum. Again, it's not an unknown fact that there has been a lot less activity than years prior. A lot has happened in my life, and I'm sure everyone else's lives, that have prevented them from being able to dedicate as much time to this forum as they once did. I do not want anyone to feel bad for not being active on this site, and I also don't want anyone to feel bad for wanting more activity, as this was purely created and is still something we all do as a hobby. That being said, I do not think we need to shame each other for not posting as much as another person or as much as we used to. That seems counterproductive in my opinion, but I am curious about how ways to generate more involvement. Always feel free to start ideas or reach out!
Moving on, I don't think it's completely fair to say this community is no longer supportive of new writers. I think there seems to be a lot of blame being placed on people who are not posting as much as they used to, instead of others actually posting. Again, there should not be any shame thrown at someone for not being as active. I have not come across any behavior or posts or incidents that are excluding anyone else from being involved or new people from jumping in, but, like Jack said, if I'm totally missing it please bring it to my attention. There was a mention Watchtower, Dropouts, and Paradise Lost seeming to get all of the love, but those shows are the ones that are still currently being written. I simply don't agree with that point, but am always open to hear a counterpoint to it. If people find this site and see those things being posted, it's because their creators are posting them. Speaking from personal experience, I haven't posted anything in any of my shows because I haven't written anything for them, and I think that's safe to say for shows that are not currently active. Let's also not forget that posting in a show's channel is not the only way to be active on this forum, as there are several other threads dedicated to films, TV shows, video games, casting, games, etc.
If there are instances where you feel someone is not getting enough love, please give them love! I know that's a lot easier said than do, though. But that's what I love about this forum - there are so many wonderful ideas brewing here that people have the ability to gravitate to. If you read a pilot, even if you helped edit/write it, you can still post those thoughts in a thread to create excitement and hype!
Matthew, you touched on a similar topic that I addressed above, but I do want to circle back to your statement about us needing to try and be more active. There have been years long gaps between a majority of people's postings on this forum, including myself. I won't deny that. However, I truly think that is an unfair ask of people to put more time and energy into a place if they simply cannot, especially if we don't know their personal circumstances. Not to say that was 100% your intention behind that statement, but I do believe it is a fair discussion to have! I just don't want anyone to feel bad about not posting on a site that is meant to be a hobby. But again, I totally love and agree with the sentiment that I wish the forum was more active!
I love and appreciate the discussion that is currently being had here. As someone who has been on this forum for several years, and loved every moment of it, I thought it was appropriate to respond to this thread. If anyone, whether they have already posted here or not, would like to continue this conversation privately with me or directly in this channel, please feel free to do so. I hope my comments and feedback do not come across and brash or dismissive, because that is absolutely not my intention. I think this is definitely a thoughtful and need discussion, so I truly appreciate it being brought to light, as I know it is not always easy to share your opinion open and honestly. Thank you all again! I look forward to try and bring more activity back to this place.
All my best,
Brady

Hey Matthew!
I pretty much echo all of Jay's comments. I love a good, classic supernatural show, so I'm very curious on what about the pilot and story will set it apart from the stereotypes that have already been established in the genre.
Looking forward to the pilot!

Supergirl has actually become my favorite CW-DC show at the moment. I'm loving Sam this season. She reminds me of Davis in S8 of Smallville. And Alex, Lena, and James continue to be standout characters for me.

I just finished Evil Genius, a true crime documentary in the style of Making a Murderer and The Keepers. If you're a fan of those shows you should definitely check this one out, especially since it's much shorter. It's such a bizarre story that truly feels like it came out of a murder mystery film.
I've also started Altered Carbon which has been a really fascinating sci-fi show thus far.

I've been working on 2.14 of The Super Teens on and off for the past couple of months, writing when I actually have the time. I'm midway through Act 3 with hopes of finishing it soon!

Let's revive this game! Since Doom Patrol was just announced as one of the series on the new DC Universe streaming service, who would you cast as ELASTI-GIRL, one of the team's founding members?

REVIEW: "Super Mission" I don't even really know how to start this review without just diving straight into everything that went down with Debbie Knox in this episode, and so forgive me for not being more structured and easing a little better into this episode's review, but I'm so impressed by, and invested in, this arc for Debbie with Chosen, and what this episode did was offer a lot of pay-off to the slow-burn nature of her story from the beginning of the season, in a way that we don't often see happening outside of a season finale. And it all feels so precise and perfectly planned out. You ended Season 1 with her being kidnapped, and you've taken us on a journey where she's being initiated into this organisation and having her family threatened and held against her — while showing the Knox Triplets adjust and adapt to a world without their mother — and then when Debbie is forced to take all that knowledge and training and fulfil a mission for Chosen as an agent, she's a door apart from her old life, and so close to her children and her freedom, only to have her "die" by episode's end. From the suspense, to the high stakes action of the mission, and finally the emotion of it all -- it just fired on all cylinders and those story beats hit at all the right times. I'm really hoping, and have a feeling, that the "death" was just a move on Chosen's part to convince the Knox Triplets that she had died, and that this is all a huge fake-out. I think it would be an absolute shame for Debbie's story to end there. Regardless, I really admire and appreciate how you've told this story and what this episode did in kind of allowing the disjointed nature of Debbie's arc initially to carry so much more weight and have that pay-off that I think it needed sooner rather than later, and this was just the perfect time to see her out on a mission and be swept back up in the action of it all. I really wanted their to be an episode that was a sort of culmination of what Debbie (and Shela) has been through while she's been at Chosen. Despite the end of the episode, Chosen will continued to be explored from the inside and out, and they have a very large threat that will be approaching towards the mid-season finale. Anyway, Debbie has been one of my favorite characters to write for this show. I wanted to break away from the typical parental role in superhero shows where they are simply there for supporting the main hero and act as a distress call whenever they are in trouble. I wanted Debbie to be the hero, and that's what this episode was all about. I'm really happy you liked this episode so much. I remember it being kind of difficult to write and get through because of how many things were going on, but I'm thrilled you found it to be balanced and organic. Debbie's fate, whether she is truly dead or this was some fakeout, will be answered by the end of the next episode. 2.08 is really about focusing on how much influence she had on her children and friends, and, even though she's been in the hands of Chosen for some time now, how her passing affects everyone. Yay! Like I said, this episode was kind of tough to get through, so I'm glad the end result was something enjoyable! This season has been so much fun to write because of looming arcs like The Emerald. I wanted to introduce the idea of a separate vigilante that isn't working with the Knox's, so it's all about how they operate with and how they view The Emerald. All of these subplots -- including SANO -- are about to have a lot of answers, and I'm excited to see what you think! The training room is something that's going to be utilized throughout the season. I really love the idea of it, and that there's always this thing off screen that the triplets are using that's always improving their skills and abilities. While I think showing them progressing with their abilities is important, I find that this is gonna be a very useful tool going down the road, and I'm glad you liked it. This is something Lucy is going to be dealing with going forward. I think it's really easy to feel unsatisfied with your role, especially when your best friends are superheroes. So happy you're enjoying her. She's had one of my favorite stories of the season. We love Shady Ryan haha! He's someone that I don't think needs a huge focus in every episode, because in the episodes where he pops up he has a purpose that progresses his shadiness, lol. Can't say too much about him since he's such a secretive character, but answers will be coming soon! Like I said, lots of answers will be coming shortly. Thanks so much for this review, Jack! Glad to see you back on the Super Teens train. Can't wait to see what you think of the next few episodes!

REVIEW: "Super Friends" Something I absolutely love about shows within this specific type of genre, is when characters that are deemed "normal" get to dip their toes into the world most of the characters are familiar with, but one that they're not. So right away, I was pretty much sold on this episode. Outside of that, there was also a nice balance of story and focus on characters like Debbie, and Ashlock, that progressed the story even though it wasn't necessarily the main focus — which is something I think you've gotten a lot better at throughout the series. This episode definitely served as the peak of the storyline that started with Fred and Lucy back in 1.13. I'm glad you enjoyed this episode that had such a strong focus on those two characters, and thought it managed to balance all of the stories that were going on as well. I thought it was a pretty natural progression, personally, for Fred and Lucy to feel left out through everything we've seen in the series so far, and want to feel more included and important, especially after learning about the triplet's powers. I'm really happy you enjoyed what this episode did for them and their story. The five person friendship they all share is something I truly love writing, so I'm glad it was a highlight in this episode. Yeah, the triplets definitely have a much different POV in regards to powers than Fred and Lucy do. I wanted that struggle to be an important beat. Janice, Clark, and Sara have been through a lot because of these powers, and they've been forced to deal with a lot of things Fred and Lucy have *yet* to. And you're right, I absolutely loathe when shows suddenly make their main characters into self proclaimed messiahs of vigilantism and think they can assert their dominance over everyone else who wants to help. I haaaate it. I'm glad we both do, haha. Fred and Lucy are gonna be a lot more involved in the action now, so look out for that! Writing their superpowers scenes were so much fun. Like I've said before, coming up with different powers is such a treat for me to do. To me, this episode was a lot more about Fred and Lucy discovering what they can do without powers rather than them obtaining powers to be important members of the team. So, that's why I took them away, but I'm still glad you loved them as much as you did. I mentioned above, but Fred and Lucy are going to be integrating themselves a lot more into the weekly mysterious and action with the triplets. With that being said "hacking" and "vigilante" might be a story that comes to fruition sooner rather than later. George was actually a real challenge for me to write. I originally had two different villains; George and then a character who gave Fred and Lucy powers, but I decided to combine the two, and to me it made for a smoother and more organic episode. I'm glad you agreed. Ryan has been a refreshing character to write. He's pretty much the only character in the main cast unware of the Knox's secret, so he's almost like the Ashlock of s1 but a whole lot different. He's got a lot of exciting stuff coming up, but it's scattered throughout, so keep an eye out for it! Yay! Ashlock has such a stronger role this season, and I can't wait for you to read some of her scenes. She's developed into such a powerhouse now that she's in the know, and she's a force to be reckoned with. Ashlock and Ryan share a pretty big number of scenes this season, so I'm glad their scenes were a standout in this episode. Hahaha I'm glad I could act as a reminder for you about Debbie's powers. Alexander is dead set on things going smoothly, so testing someone who he *thinks* already has powers was such an aggravating them for him to witness. As for Shela, her power was a lot of fun to write. You'll have to see when that gets brought up again I went back and forth so many times about whether I wanted to include this or not. I'm glad I stuck with it, because I'm really glad with how it turned out and complimented the other stories going on. I also love incorporating real life struggles into a show about superhumans, because it connects to the audience more. I really wanted to play into the question of whether or not what Elise was feeling was selfish, and so playing with that idea, and bringing in Jane, the person closest to her, was fascinating to me. I think it's easy to think that what Elise was saying was purely for her self, so I wanted to challenge that as best as I could. I really wanna give Jane a huge storyline. I have one in mind, it's just when I'm able to put it into an episode where it works with everything. I think I've found the spot, so keep an eye out for it later on down the line. The premonition will play out in the next episode Thanks so much for the review, Jack! I absolutely love hearing your thoughts, and I'm glad you're enjoying it as much as you are. Can't wait to see more of your thoughts!

REVIEW: "Super Ball" This episode was a really refreshing one because it's been a while since the main plot of an episode has really narrowed in on one clear, and central thing that ropes most of the characters in, and I think it was in direct contrast to the premiere which had to set a lot of things up. So it was nice to see that, and to see all the characters grouped into the same setting and facing the same stakes. Obviously, there was a follow up to the cliffhanger with Ashlock, but that played really well into the main story as it involves Chosen. So it all felt really balanced. This episode was sort of my homage to one of my favorite stories - And Then There Were None. I also love when all the characters are forced to be in the same location, and how they deal with the stakes that surround them. Thank you! I really wanted to establish Alexander as a horrifying man as early as I could. He's quite literally a sociopath, and I wanted his actions to speak on that. I've loved writing him as the main antagonist this season, and I hope he can match up to the terror Cloranda induced. Katrina is going to pop up periodically throughout the season. I think she's a character that will always find a way to go where the power is, and has such a smart power that she can almost get herself out of anything. She definitely fills that Jonathan role in this season, and has some great interactions imo when the rest of Chosen when she makes herself at home. I'm glad you have liked all of Janice's premonitions so far! They're a lot of fun to write, and I've tried to make them all different, like this one being hazy, because Janice hasn't really learned how to operate them flawlessly. On to Sara, she's definitely a force to be reckoned with this season. She's the most outspoken of the triplets, and she's done with all of the shit that's been thrown her families way. Both sisters have some great moments coming up. As for the gun - Sara didn't pull the trigger. Alexander took the gun from her last minute and shot himself and forced Sara to heal him as a power move against the triplets, to show them how much control he has over their situation. This episode was meant to be a giant power move by Alexander, to prove that he can do whatever he wants with these people because of his status and dominance through Chosen. Sorry it didn't seem to translate the same! Ryan is a really interesting character whose motivations don't really become clear until early on. I don't want to say too much about him. I'm glad you're already interested in him thought! Same goes for Eric. I love being able to explore Chosen, through Debbie and its already established agents. Agatha, Joshua, and Ezra all pop up every now and again, so hopefully your interest will hold up for the next time they have their own little story! She's back next episode, bish I love the friendship between the triplets and Fred and Lucy, so it's something I wanted to focus on in this season. Last season almost saw the end of it, so I found it almost necessary to bring them as close to when we first saw them. They're best friends who would do anything for one another, and the end of this episode was just a reminder of that Next episode is big for them!! Thanks so much, Jack! Can't wait to see your thoughts on the rest of the season!!!

REVIEW: "Super Gone" Finally here at the Season 2 premiere, and there were quite a few streams of story to follow, especially picking up from the cliffhangers of last season's finale — Debbie is has been missing for two weeks, Fred and Lucy and Heather all know the secret, Ashlock is struggling with the fact she was forced to take down Rivers, and Chosen has made a surprise (but very welcome) return to the show. YAY!! *straps in* One of my favorite parts of this show is coming up with new superpowered people, and, like you said, building a sort of Rogues Gallery among them all. Holly and Jonathan might even have a team up in the future *nudge nudge* There's a couple of more superhumans you're gonna meet this season, so I hope they all have the same reception that you've given Holly! This is definitely something that ties into the storyline Fred and Lucy have this season. It carries over into the second episode (as you've read) and really comes to a head in 2.03 "Super Friends". Hopefully everything becomes clearer as you read along, and you enjoy where this takes Fred and Lucy and Heather in the future. This is something I definitely wanted to highlight! Thank you so much for the praise, it truly means a lot. I love when I can parallel what's happening with the triplets to what's happening to other characters in the episode, and that happens at least one more time later on down the line. That's a fair critique. I think I got so caught up in expanding on things that I set up in the finale. But I also wanted to not explore everything the Knox's are going through. They've been very closed off now for over two weeks and I didn't want to go against that POV, you know? They have reactions to certain things in the next few episodes that really tie into what they're feeling, so hopefully this is something that gets fixed for you once you read them. Yay! Division/ARGUS are huge inspirations for Chosen, so I hope I can make them unique and creative enough for them to stand out. Debbie's storyline gives a lot of light into how Chosen operates, so look out for her scenes to learn more about them! Debbie really has to find things to keep hope in while she's at Chosen, and she finds that through Shela. I love writing their relationship, so I'm excited to see what you think of these two women going through the same situation with completely different backgrounds. I think it's almost unknown for two older women to have such a prominent storyline on a superhero action show, so I'm so stoked to see what you think about their progression, because it's been a highlight of the season for me to write. "Ashlock vision" was such a cool thing to write. YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THE BRACELET NOW SO I'M SORRY LOL. I'm glad this episode changed some of the problems you had with Rivers's death, and now I'll respond to... Like I said, this season is really about opening up Ashlock to a whole new world of things, mainly the Knox's and her new partner Eric. I definitely didn't want to overlook Ashlock's strong PTSD and trauma from what happened that night with Rivers. It's something that's going to be a lingering thought in her mind. I hope you enjoy where Ashlock goes this season, because she's been a favorite for me to write! Heather's departure was half realism (like you said) and have story. I wanted to do a nod towards a realistic approach of getting the hell outta town when you almost die 4 times in one month, but I also wanted to open up a story. Heather will be back, just not gonna say when haha! *cries for centuries* Thanks again Jack!! Season 2 is a wild ride, imo, compared to s1, and I hope you enjoy every minute of it!

REVIEW: "Super Battle" (Part Two) This season finale was insane; it managed to not only deliver some great, new and exciting twists, but offer resolution on a lot of the storylines that threaded throughout the season, which is exactly what I wanted from the finale. *screams with excitement* Thank you! I decided pretty early on how I wanted to pick up this episode and integrate back into a multi-episode problem that Janice, Clark, and Sara have been dealing with surrounding their powers, so I'm glad you ended up liking how this episode was tied into where the last one left off. I thought it would be more interesting and would tie into the end of the episode where they stopped Cloranda if they were new powers instead of extensions (like you mentioned). I just found it to be a better storytelling choice. I'm glad you ended up liking the decision to give them new powers, and I hope you enjoy what new stories this opens up and cool new moments that I came up with in season two! I agree! I think it's much more terrifying for Janice that all of her premonitions have actually come true in some way, shape, or form. I'm so happy you loved Cloranda as much as you did. I can only hope the season 2 big bad garners just as much praise and attention from you. I wanted all of the major questions to be wrapped up from the pilot in this finale. She was such a great force for me to write, and I'm glad you picked up on her being the reason this show even exists, and it's something that I definitely want to take another stab at down the line. I would love to find a way to bring her back, not as another season's big bad, but sort of as a foil for the triplets to learn more about themselves. But it's all about what comes naturally. Anyway, back to the finale - I wanted Cloranda to be this ultimate powerful supernatural being where the triplets proved they could overpower her, but next season is a real exploration of how they go against an entire organization, and I'm excited to see what you think. I think Rivers's story was finished. He was directly tied to Cloranda and everything that she was doing, and I was approaching it from a standpoint of what stories could be told from his death - ie, Det. Ashlock. I think it was much more impactful for her to be the one to actually kill him, and to see how she deals with it in season 2 was just a more exciting arc that I wanted to tell. It really opens her up to a whole world of new things now that her partner is dead. So, that's my explanation for Rivers's death. I went about it the way I thought was more emotional and significant moving forward for the character of Det. Ashlock, so I hope you enjoy what's in store for her. This is another thing she's going to be dealing with in season 2! She's spent so long trying to figure out this secret, so what does she do with it? It's definitely going to be about her proving herself to the team, and creating relationships with everyone. I'm excited for you to read her stuff in s2! This was definitely a kickoff to what Fred, Lucy, and Heather will be dealing with in season 2, specifically the premiere. They've been opened up to a world of terrifying things, and they have to deal with this information in the safest way possible. Hope you enjoy what you haven't read for them in s2! I love bringing back old characters, so expect some familiar faces to pop up throughout season 2 I love writing Debbie. She's such a powerhouse of a character, and, like you said, this episode was more about her reactions to certain things like her children's "death" and also how she ends the episode. I've always struggled with Jane Doe. I've got some cool stuff I wanna do for her, but it's just about finding a way to incorporate it into the season. She has some really nice mini arcs in season 2 tho, so I hope you enjoy those *doesn't want to give anything away so is silent!!!!* Thank you SO MUCH Jack! I'm so happy you loved this season as much as you did, and I can't wait for you to catch up on season 2

REVIEW: 4.06 "Sirens"This episode really felt like a comic book come to life. I don't say that with the meaning that all other episodes this season didn't feel like that, but "Sirens" was a really fun, fast paced episode that saw the resurfacing of a lot of Gotham baddies. While this episode definitely had its fair share of dramatic and emotional beats, I really appreciated the overall quickness and breathing room that this episode had to offer, because it seems like the next one is going to be one of the most intense yet. First off, I wanna talk about Ivy and Harley. You nailed their relationship. I loved their banter and protectiveness of one another, and I really, really wish we could've seen more of it, because I feel like the stakes of them as a threat wasn't necessarily as high as it could have been. There were a lot of stories being juggled, and it just didn't feel like Ivy, Harley, or Red Hood were as intimidating and as threatening as they needed to be. That was my only real issue throughout the entire thing, because, like I said, I'm stoked we got to catch up with Ivy and Harley, and the end of the episode was a clever way to establish the Sirens as, hopefully, a force waiting to come back for revenge. Speaking of which, I liked the mini arc we got with Kitty. It was a real shocking end to the episode with how she reacted to everything, so I'm curious to see if she and Selina will have a reunion sometime during the season. Next we have the actual introduction of Jason. He's a pretty cool dude. I didn't really have any strong reactions to him, but I'm still intrigued with his backstory. It's interesting getting that POV from a completely new character that has been affected by a big bad that's been a looming threat for the entirety of the series, so I'm definitely excited for what he's going to bring to the table, especially since he's already been introduced to all of the team. I'm pretty sure I remember reading a scoop about Jason and Chloe beginning to develop a sort of romance, so, while I'm Chlollie trash till the day I die, I'm open to seeing what this relationship will do for Chloe in expanding her love life beyond Oliver. Chloe and Oliver still have the story I'm most excited for this season. It's so complex and rich with history and potential, and I'm just so excited for where they're going after this. They have such a conflict of objectives, and their tactics are just blocking one another continuously, and that makes such thrilling drama for me -- to see characters want something so bad but they're in the way of what the other one wants. I'm hyped for it. I remember mentioning in a past review that I wasn't a fan of the way Helena declined help, so this episode was a really nice addition for me. I think it's a perfect choice for Lana to act as her sort of therapist, because of her history with the Isis and now Savior Foundation. I'm excited to see this relationship will progress and develop into a rather mature friendship for the show. Another relationship I'm glad we touched base on was Helena and Katherine. Their little interaction was handled in a really positive way, and it's something I'm very proud that this show is focusing on. Lastly, Sarah and Gordon were a pair I didn't expect to have a huge effect on this episode, but the end of it definitely proved that I was wrong. I'm more interested in how Sarah will deal with the fallout of her family's injuries and the (hopefully) revelation of her discovering Red Hood's identity. Another really nice addition to Watchtower's fourth season. The next episode looks insane, and I'm excited to dive into it soon!

REVIEW: "Super Battle" (Part One) Duuuuuude. So. Much. Just. Happened. I always struggle to start reviews off because I feel like I need an introduction to say whether or not I liked the episode (which I loved it by the way) but this is different because there's so much to talk about and so much sh*t just went down. I honestly thought this was going to be a little calm before the storm, and we definitely got a little of that, but then it delivered some the finale-worthy action and twists that I wasn't prepared for, and I'm just -- I need a minute to take it all in and leave this review before I go on to read the season finale. I remember originally planning this as one episode, and I realized that I just had so many things I wanted to do, so I split it into a two parter. I'm glad it didn't fall into the trap of this first part being nothing but slow build into the second one. I'm so happy you enjoyed this crazy episode a lot The triplets are definitely going to do whatever they can to try and defeat Cloranda. I thought it was a natural sort of thread to connect to their trainer being Elise, who has had so much experience in the field of battle and combat. I didn't want it to be a one and done thing, because as I've mentioned before, I try to make this show as realistic as I can, so I'm really happy you enjoyed that aspect. This season has been about Janice, Clark, and Sara learning to develop their own powers, so now it was time for them to be able to combine them with fighting skills. This storyline is something that comes to a head in the next episode. I honestly can't really say why I included another lie for the triplets to get caught up with another lie other than I wanted to try to amplify the stakes of this friendship possibly ending. Hopefully you enjoy the conclusion of this storyline. Yay! I think this is a huge compliment. I'm really glad this was something that the episode managed to build up and maintain. This was a very Debbie-centric episode. All season she's been trying to protect her family, and her love for her children has been the driving force behind that, and I just think it was a natural twist for her to have powers the entire time. Debbie has been through a ton of shit throughout the second half of the season, so I think her body being an enhanced shield is something that mirrors how strong her bond is with her family. Hopefully you enjoy how the scene at the end of the episode concludes, because I think it brings up some nice, interesting, and dynamic moments for a lot of characters. I think it's so easy to step back and see Ashlock as an antagonistic crazy person for being so obsessed with three teenagers, but she's been someone who's life has been surrounded by uncovering the truth for a better part of her life. Not being able to figure out what the Knox family is doing has been killing her. She has such a strong drive to bring about justice that it's slowly consuming her with each episode, and her scene with Debbie was something that allowed her to see that part of her, and she'll have to deal with it in the next episode. I really wanted to wait to dive into Rivers's past until the finale. I think he's been a real secretive, background character compared to everything else going on, but I wanted him to shine in this two part finale. I love his relationship with Ashlock and how it's counterbalanced with his forced one with Cloranda, and I thought it would be great to explore that in this 2 part finale. I love how much you love her! All I'm gonna say is that she's out for blood in the next episode, and she's going to do whatever she can to get her powers back You've already read the finale so you know where this goes! I loved writing this tense relationship. It was so much fun. I'm glad you liked reading it as much as I did writing it. They have such a conflict of objectives that it was nice to have them continuously butting heads. You know where this goes - The family dynamics are one of my favorite things to write on this show, so I try to let it shine whenever I can. I'm so happy you enjoy this relationship so much *screams* *screams louder* Thank you SO MUCH Jack! Can't wait to see what you think of the finale!
