EXCLUSIVE: INTERVIEW WITH EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, DARRIN MCCANN! With 'The Super Teens' premiering in just one week, we were able to sit down with Executive Producer, Darrin McCann, to discuss spoilers, characters, and everything Super Teens! VSGUIDE: What's your job for The Super Teens? DARRIN: Well, my official title is Executive Producer. My job is to make sure everyone is doing their job properly. [laughs] No, seriously though I read the scripts and ensure that i's are dotted, and t's crossed. I also keep an eye out for continuity errors, as well as provide feedback on plot, and such. But in all honesty Brady is such a fantastic writer that I barely have to do anything. [laughs] I love my job. VSGUIDE: How did you become a part of the production staff? DARRIN: Well, before TST was picked up, Brady came to me and asked if I would do some beta reading. I guess he thought I did a good job because after TST's pick-up Brady came to me again and asked me to join the team, and I graciously accepted the role. VSGUIDE: How's it like working with Brady? DARRIN: Brady's great to work with. He's got a phenomenal work ethic, as well fantastic, original ideas. He's really easy to get along with, and takes constructive criticism quite well. And I'm not just saying all this because he's my boss. [laughs] VSGUIDE: So, what's your favorite moment that's happened in the series so far? Why? DARRIN: My favorite moment so far would have to Bright Day itself. It's the catalyst that has started this journey for the Knox triplets. It's also a pivotal event in the entire series. Everything that happens is directly related to Bright Day, and the discovery of what Bright Day actually is shocking! VSGUIDE: Speaking of favorite moments, what's your favorite episode? Why? DARRIN: I actually have two favorite episodes so far. I am a HUGE fan of 1.05 - Super Drunk and 1.06 - Super Mom. Super Drunk has some of the funniest moments, in my opinion, so far in TST. There is a hilarious scene with a phone conversation between Sara and her siblings that cracked me right up as well as interactions with Fred that were equally funny. I loved Super Mom because Debbie is thrown into the forefront of the story and she has to find a way to save not only herself but someone else, all without any super human ability. We really get to see Debbie as more then just a mom. Layers are added to her character in this episode and we really get to see who Debbie really is. VSGUIDE: How about your favorite character? Why? DARRIN: This is a tough one because I love all of them so much, but if I am forced to choose I think I would have to go with Sara. She's sassy, and prissy but also kicks some serious butt. However her BARK is worse than her bite. Pun intended. [laughs] VSGUIDE: So, you probably know how everything plays out for this season, will people be shocked? DARRIN: I sure do! [laughs] I believe that people will be shocked, I know I was. VSGUIDE: What are you looking forward for fans to see? DARRIN: Everything! [laughs] I'm really looking forward to... No spoilers from me. [laughs] I will say that fans can expect a lot of shock and awe with a side of kick-ass action and adventure. You're all in for a treat! VSGUIDE: It's been said that 'The Super Teens' has a title that is very comic book-y and kid-friendly. What do you have to say about that? Do you agree? DARRIN: TST is so much more then that. Comic Book-y sure. It's about teens that get super powers but the questions of how and why make it more. Kid friendly, why not, there is a lot of family values sown throughout TST, however there is a lot of dark stuff as well, that's not so kid friendly. I think the title is suitable because it tells the viewer exactly what it's about, Super Teens. [laughs] VSGUIDE: One word to describe the show? DARRIN: Super-fantastic... (From the dictionary of Darrin). VSGUIDE: And if you could have one moment happen, what would it be? DARRIN: Debbie getting a spin-off series called The Super Mom. All Debbie, all the time. [laughs] Well, there you have it folks! The latest scoop on 'The Super Teens' from its very own Executive Producer! Excited? Not so much? Either way, sound off below, and tune in to 'The Super Teens', premiering next Tuesday!

PRODUCTION NEWS: DELAYED? Sadly, yes. Recently, my Microsoft Word Processor, the program I used to write all my scripts, has crashed and will not reboot under any circumstances. Nothing has worked. Luckily, I had already written eight episodes, which have been all been sent to Darrin, the executive producer. Six have already been edited and saved as PDF, and the other two are, thankfully, with him. Last night, I was writing an episode that was, quite frankly, taking me a while to write. I had finished Act 4 and decided to get some sleep, and woke up to a broken Microsoft Word. Thankfully, I have Celtix, a free script writing software, and I can hopefully continue writing episodes on that, but my plans, outlines for future arcs, character introductions, were all saved as Microsoft Office files, and not PDFs. If Microsoft continues to act this way, I will have no other choice than to rewrite this episode, and hope that I remember everything that's supposed to go down, especially with certain characters. Format of all my scripts will change now -- there will be no title page, cast page, etc. Hopefully, this is just a bug and will fade, but I highly doubt that is the case. 'The Super Teens' is still set to air this Tuesday, and 'Audition' is still set to return October 5th.

NEWS ON 'THE SUPER TEENS' With the third episode of 'The Super Teens' just airing, we've been informed that the Action/Adventure Drama will return November 13th, 2012. Confused? Don't blame you. "The Mid-Season finale is set during December. If the show aired regularly, it'd be weird to air a December episode in the middle of October. It's just been pushed back for scheduling reasons," series creator, Brady Brown says. "But 'The Super Teens' gets better and better with each episode, so it'll all be worth it," executive producer, Darrin McCann says. Stay tuned for more information!

EXCLUSIVE: CHRISTMAS TIME HITS UPSVILLE! It has just been announced that a special, Christmas episode, entitled "Super Jolly", has been added to the 13 episode first season of, 'The Super Teens'! It has been stated that the episode has already been completed, and takes a slight twist on the classic Christmas story of The Grinch. "Now, when we say this, don't expect a whole episode focusing on someone stealing stuff, and their heart growing at the end. What we mean is that stuff is being stolen at Christmas," says series creator Brady Brow, "thus the 'slight' reference.' "This episode was really fun to shoot," says star Britt Robertson. "We got to work with Rose McGowan, and she was just great! Her character is really interesting, and I hope everyone loves the twist that comes with her!" Well, there you have it! Super Jolly is set to premiere December 18th, 2012, so keep a look out! And as always, leave anything you want down below, or in the Discussion thread!

EXCLUSIVE: "SECRET" CASTING ANNOUNCEMENTS! Word has finally broke of three new casting announcements for the second half of the freshman season of The Super Teens! The first of these castings goes to Jennifer Lawrence ('The Hunger Games,' 'The Silver Linings Playbook'), who has been cast as teenager Heather Twain! It has been said that Heather moves to Upsville, fist appearing in episode 1.09 'Super Escape'., and has been scheduled to appear in the following four episodes. The second casting goes to Michael Fassbender ('Shame,' 'Prometheus')! Who you may recognize from being on the list of guest stars for 1.06 'Super Mom'. Well, he's back! This time with a face. Fassbender's character has been given the name Alexander, who, from the ending of the mid-season finale, has a history with Mrs. Uucsio. His character is scheduled to appear in 1.08 'Super Part'! And the finale casting has gone to Aaron Eckhart ('Thank You For Smoking,' 'The Dark Knight')!
