For me, the only way I would be able to 'get with' a Buffy remake, is if it is actually remade into something unique and original. While I don't know how much your remake will resemble the series, I can't judge it quite yet, but if you're serious about this, it may be a good idea to remake Buffy the Vampire Slayer from the ground up. Force yourself to forget everything you know about BtVS, besides the central idea, and just build up from that. You don't even have to have the same characters as the show. Perhaps your characters can have little nods to the originals, but know that they don't have to be the same. This project will more than likely be very controversial, with a lot of different people's opinions being thrown into the mix, but this is mine. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a tricky thing to remake, but it can be done, if the direction is both well thought out and original. Above all, I wouldn't want to read a movie based on the same plots as the show. I would just watch the show instead. It may work better to really make the universe your own. Retell Buffy's story from another characters point of view, or create a reboot of the franchise with a slightly different tone or angle. But this is just my opinion. Whatever you decide to do with this, I wish you good luck, Brian.

But definetly I do think you're are correct. I think this was a great way to start but I think now I should start it my own way but still have the nod to the show as well because it's still Buffy and you don't want to take away the original premise of it. So Yeah..this pitch is going to change ahaha Thanks a lot Jason for making me see that I can re-do this,
