SYNOPSIS
In a world where all of mankind is born with extraordinary abilities, such as telekinesis, rapid tissue regeneration, and even the ability to fly, governments have crumbled as political heavyweights fight for power. Meanwhile, a group of world renowned scientists discovers a potential threat to humankind -- a man from an ancient race, seemingly, long lost to the planet earth; a race that, for years, has been hunted by the world's governments, in secret. Dubbed by the media as "The Powerless," for all they can tell, he is an "alien" among them, without the thing that makes everyone else "human" -- an ability.
Adam Walker, a man with no past, present or future, due to his lack of abilities, has been discovered, and targeted by a covert operations squad called 'Sector 15,' who wish to capture him for experimentation, or worse. However, as he is almost in their grasp, Walker discovers that he is not as alone in the world as he had always thought, as more 'powerless' come out of the shadows to help him combat mankind. Now, Walker, with the company of people like him, must do everything in their power and spirits to build their numbers, and prepare for the coming war.
ADAM WALKER
(Portrayed by Wentworth Miller)
A stranger to the world. Raised in hiding by his human, foster parents, Adam Walker has never had a friend, or normal relationship in his thirty-three years of existence. This causes him to see the world as a harsh, insensitive place, and the world's discovery of his existence only strengthens that outlook. On a personal level, everyone that has gotten to know him since being discovered, would describe Adam as socially inept, morally ambiguous and somewhat of a renegade/antihero. However, there is more to him that meets the eye.
JENNIFER HALE
(Portrayed by Meagan Markle)
Beautiful, ambitious, and also a 'powerless.' Jennifer was once a businesswoman, working at a bio-tech industry, and quickly rising to the top of her field. She did not have powers, but she knew how to hide it well, with her brilliant, almost genius leveled mind, those who knew her, thought that was her ability. After inner turmoil and growing tired of living a lie, Jennifer becomes inspired when she hears about Adam Walker, a man from her past she thought long-lost. On a quest to find him, she becomes entangled in the fight against the humans, joining the "resistance" at Walker's side. Jennifer is firm, somewhat detached, but for good reason. She doesn't know how to be anything but human, which she often gets grief for from the fellow Powerless of the resistance, who assume she thinks better of herself, when in all actuality, she feels inferior.
DAMIN CROSS
(Portrayed by Morris Chestnut)
Damin, being called Mr. Cross by the Resistance, is their leader. The founder of the organization whose only goal is to gain the freedom and equality they deserve. Damin is goal oriented, determined, strict, and at times, quite cruel, but he knows the mission and will stop at nothing to get there. Although his rough exterior is what most know him for, he has a soft side when it comes to family.
ALEC WILSON
(Portrayed by Nico Tortorella)
Alec is human, however, he has spent all of this life surrounded by The Powerless. His outlook on mankind, and himself, is not positive, and his often self-loathing personality shines through. But, in general, he is a comical kind of person, using dark humor and sarcasm to hide his true feelings. Having the ability to teleport from one place to another, he's an expert of getting himself, and the others, out of sticky situations. Although he is human, the rest of the group looks to him, more or less, as one of them.
CAROLINE REESE
(Portrayed by Dichen Lachman)
Caroline has been in a secret holding facility for The Powerless for about 4 years. After a raid on that facility by resistance fighters, they find her broken, and stripped of almost everything that made her who she is. However, deciding to take her in, she joins the resistance with the hope of getting her life back, and starting fresh. But when her heart is so full of rage, and a thirst for revenge, will she let that get in the way of the greater mission? Caroline is has been pretty quiet since she escaped the Sector 15 hub, where she was tortured and experimented on to the brink of insanity. Only time will tell if she will make any progress.
MIGUEL SANTOS
(Portrayed by Manny Montana)
Santos is the other human of the group, and serves as a weapons expert. His ability enables him to create technology through an unlimited supply of different material, in as little as three minutes. Designing his "toys," as he likes to call them, in favor of The Powerless and what they represent -- freedom. Coming from a life in the gangs of Los Angeles, California, Santos has a colored past, but he was able to escape that life, more or less, intact, both physically and mentally. But when his past ties catch up with him, he may not be so lucky this time around.
ROBERT CROSS
(Portrayed by D.B Woodside)
General Robert Cross, is the the founder, and leader of Sector 15, the government paid, criminal organization designed to hunt and capture The Powerless from every corner of the world. He has no regard for human life, and to his partners, he does not seem to possess a soul, as he was able to betray his own brother, and now mortal enemy, Damin Cross, leader of the stranger Resistance. He believes all Powerless are a threat, but a secret within his family history may turn his employers against him.

Woodside), is put in charge of the man's capture, as well as the containment of the countless others like him that populate the world. At the end of his rope, Adam is rescued by "The Resistance;" a group of powerless men and women that fight against Sector 15 for freedom and equality. But can the group be trusted once Adam finds out that the man he is supposed to trust; Resistance leader, Damin Cross (Morris Chestnut) is the brother of the very man he's running from.

Bio-Tech lab technician, Jennifer Hale (Piper Perabo), is known for her human ability of a genius-leveled intellect, but she has been living a lie. She is, in fact, Powerless, and after the discovery that people like her, without abilities, exist, she leaves her life behind and looks to start over. After tracking down Adam Walker, she joins the Resistance. But, when a crisis ensues at her lab, making her the only person that can stop it, she must make a choice on who exactly she wants to be. Meanwhile, Robert Cross (D.B. Woodside) grows one step closer to finding The Resistance, and his brother, as a we discover there is a traitor from inside the Resistance.
1x03 -- The Hub
One of Damin Cross' (Idris Elba) sources have information on a potential 'Sector 15' interrogation hub on the outskirts of town. The hub has been said to be heavily guarded by humans, and they are to approach with caution. Also, claims of a single woman; a stranger, being held captive there, where she faces god knows what in the name of science. The Resistance has their mission -- infiltrate the hub, gain access to the prison cells, and rescue the girl, but what will happen when another group of fighters have the same idea. Will they band together to reach a common goal, or let their pride get in the way of saving lives?
1x04 -- The Devil Inside
When Alec goes undercover in the city, he meets with a Sector 15 agent with the ability to pray on people's doubts and fears. Seeing right through Alec's lies, he takes him to Robert Cross for questioning. Alec reflects on his upbringing, how he became a traitor to his own race, and his first run-in before joining The Resistance. Meanwhile, the group comes up with a strategy to get him back.
1x05 -- A Woman Scorned
With Alec still missing, Caroline (Nathalie Emmanuel) continues to struggle with the nightmarish memories of the time she was forced to spend a prisoner at the Sector 15 interrogation hub, and the tortures she suffered with every passing day. We find out her thought process sooner rather than later, as she is done waiting for the others to save Alec, and decides to go after him herself, with a bag of Santos' "toys." Through flashbacks, we discover exactly what they were testing Caroline for, and we see exactly what she is capable of.

-- The series itself will have a neo-noir/cyberpunk style to it. The setting, taking place in Detroit for the first season, I will try to give off a slight 'futuristic' tone.
