Well alright. Works for me What's the purpose of Lois in "Fate"? Not that I'm complaining Let's just say, whispers of Hush start to bleed into Metropolis, and something pulls Lois into the main story for an episode. Chloe will spend the majority of the episode alongside her cousin

Chloe (Allison Mack) and Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) work to save Kyle (Bryan Greenberg) when Talia’s (Stana Katic) actions cost him his life. However, when Emil (special guest star Alessandro Juliani) intervenes, Chloe realizes the key to stopping Hush has been with her the entire time. The official description for 315 "Overload" has been released: AAAAH! This is SO INTERESTING, because not only are we going to get more into Helena's backstory, but it's also going to put her in an awful situation of her trying to repay his debt, and while we've seen Helena become this dark figure this entire season, the fact that it brings up things that have happened in her past is just all that more exciting. It's going to be cool to see if she struggles with doing what he wants, or taking him out because of the villain he is. Why is Talia still startin' shit? It's great to have Zatanna back. I've really enjoyed her recurring role this season, and how she went and did this dark mindswipe, then had to go and earn the trust of Chloe back. Seeing their dynamic now that that relationship has been reforged, and whether it creates any interesting dynamic, is going to be quite interesting. DAMMIT EMIL, WHERE YOU BEEN THE PAST 14 EPISODES? It's starting to sink in that Perry's about to leave, and seeing if this decision plays into that aspect of his storyline at all has me all types of intrigued. And ffs, Bruce, it's about time, but I guess you were too busy being kidnapped and stuff, I don't know. But you know I'm so excited to dive further into the Hush mystery, and anything having to do with that has me heaps excited

The funny thing is, originally this season was going to feature flashbacks to fill in the time jump but I abandoned it pretty quickly when I realised that it heightened the mystery which is a huge aspect of this season, and also, with twenty two episodes, I knew that there'd be plenty of time to fill in the gaps when the story called for it. This episode, for Helena, fills in the gaps. It also adds a bit more history for the audience between Helena and Lisa which has slowly turned into one of my favourite dynamics to write this season. I think the fun thing about them was introducing them as an established relationship and then having to earn a fanbase for them or an interest for them. Hopefully that's been achieved and/or at least, Helena's feelings towards her and love for her is believable. In terms of Helena and Vertigo, their past was fun to flesh out. There's not flashbacks because the episode is too big to really delve into it, but there are references and certain parts where exposition both drives the story and gives the added bonus of filling in their history together. Originally I just had "drug lord" jotted down for this episode, and it took a while before I realised I could utilise DC Comics' Count Vertigo as the baddie. It also ties into the references of him from 308 or 311 (my mind is a bit hazy right now). I'm so happy you're enjoying the Zatanna/Chloe dynamic. There's a scene they share in this episode that I'm really excited about. It basically addresses everything they've been through this season, and how similar and/or different they are in terms of their strategies for saving the world. They've fallen into becoming quite the partners, hopefully displayed in this episode As for Talia, I'm having the most fun with her. One scene/sequence she's a part of in this episode was probably my favourite thing to write for the whole season. So hopefully that's a good enough tease to tune in Emil is constantly living to see another day. It went from "leaving the show" in season one, to "coming back for five episodes" that turned into more than five, and now he's back this season. Honestly, though, there's no character that leaves the show that will be gone forever, and Emil is one of those characters from the first season that I like to weave in and out of the story when it calls for it. His story in this episode ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and sets us up for who the big baddie of season four might be (or at least part of it). I'm hoping Perry's contribution in this episode is a big take-away from it. He definitely is dealing with the "stay or leave" question in this one and he has a really nice scene with Chloe that caps off their entire relationship. There are a few surprises left with his character, but this episode is definitely the beginning of the end for him *cries* As for Bruce, the entire TEASER for the episode is a ten-page sequence involving him that kind of launches the story forward and gets into the nitty gritty part of the Hush storyline. The fun thing about this episode with Hush is that so many big clues are dropped and the set-up for the big reveal is being planted. I can't wait to reach the end of the season and reveal everything and I appreciate the patience and the support for this season that has taken longer than usual to get out and aired. Thanks for all the awesome speculation and thoughts, buddy

Well episode 15. I cant wait. Emil returning and the reveal of Count Vertigo. This episode is really going to get crazy. Question 1: Will Chloe find out Vertigo is in town? Considering he did almost kill her ex? (We consider Oliver an ex now right?) Question 2: With Kyle on team Talia, will he still have encounters with the others? Question 3: Since Zatanna is recurring, will she back to help the gang in the finale? Question 4: Any chance Emil will share where he has been since leaving the squad? And will he have scenes with anybody other than Chloe? Question 5: With Perry on the cusp of leaving, is there any storyline that you wanted to do with Perry before he left? Question 6: When will the others find out Chloe, Zatanna, and Bruce have been lying to them about the identity of Batman? Question 7: Will Ethan Bennett become a part of Team Watchtower that works in thr police station since Gordon isnt in the police at the current moment? Question 8: Any chance somewhere down the line you will adapt any of the arkham games storylines into the shoe? Question 9: With Bruce declaring war on hush, will he start working with the team more? Or is he just gunna be on his own? Question 10: Since Helena has a past with Vertigo, any chance he will come back around for a round two to mess with Helena or is this just a one time deal for him? All in all, I'm excited and I can't wait for this episode. As a side note, I'm still waiting for a Mia cameo where she gets to watch baby Hope (episode 12 last season was really nice for that little tease)

The Count Vertigo storyline is very much just attached to Helena. There is a reference to the role he played in dosing Oliver with the drug, but as for Chloe, her role is more attached to the storyline happening with Talia, and Kyle. What happened to Oliver though is very important, and it did lead to discovering a cure, and what happened will come back into play before the end of the season. Outside of Talia, Kyle shares scenes with Chloe, Perry, Emil, Zatanna and Hugo Strange in this episode. Sketching out who will be, and who won't be in the finale hasn't come together yet. I'll definitely be crossing that bridge when I get to it because there are usually a lot of things that surprise me going into it and Zatanna being there could be one of them. I think if you're looking for more Zatanna in this back half, you will definitely be happy and she is in the 50th episode of the show. Outside of Chloe, Emil shares scenes with Helena, Dick, Hugo Strange, Zatanna, Count Vertigo, and someone I'm not revealing as it is a surprise for the end of the episode. We will learn why he left the Suicide Squad, and what he was doing leading up to now. I think we got the inkling that he left prior to 308 "Hope" and that is true. This episode really fills in the blanks on that one. Honestly, I think I've tackled them all. I think if there was one thing I would have liked to have more time to do, it would be exploring the history between him and Alice more. I think I tapped into something in episode ten and eleven that really rounded the character off in this last season for him that I would have loved to have more time digging into. That said, this episode really jump-starts the final storyline for his character that I'm most excited about, and I think -- as I've said before -- this season was a culmination of all his storylines put together for one big year. I genuinely feel like I've done more with the character that was originally planned at the beginning of the series, and like I said, "Overload" is the introduction of the last major storyline for the character that sets us up for his big farewell. It very much comes down to the fact that it isn't their secret to tell. The main reason I haven't been as forthcoming with Bruce's identity with the team is because Batman has his own mythology and his own world where I think a reveal should be earned. Chloe didn't discover it until "Anarchy" and withholding his secret for that long had the biggest pay off because her death, and subsequently this season, wouldn't have happened if she had known before it. I think now I get to do nice scenes -- like on in "Overload" -- where you have a distinct relationship between Batman and Vicki that is different to Bruce and Vicki. There won't be any major "Bruce is Batman" reveals this season, I don't think. Hush is the only one who got to figure it out, and we saw what he did with it. Ethan won't become a part of Team Watchtower so much as he will represent a new team for Vicki. In this back half of the season, you will see Vicki and Ethan working closely together to take down Hush. In episode fifteen, Vicki wants to be included on the case for "Hush", being a connection from the paper to help fuel their case and help settle this quicker than the GCPD working alone. However, Yin doesn't clear it until she's shown competency in helping them. So Ethan gives her the Count Vertigo case they've been working on, and her arc for the episode is all about trying to find him so they can stop him whilst proving herself as an asset to the GCPD. So you will see more of Vicki playing cop than playing on Team Watchtower. Definitely. I think I'm constantly finding inspiration from new Batman storylines, and the Arkham games are incredible. A most recent storyline I would love to interpret -- but am unsure if it will happen -- is the "Court of Owls." I thought that was a genius storyline from the comics. That said, the big bads have pretty much been locked in for the final two seasons of the show which is really exciting. Basically, in the mid-season arc, there wasn't much Bruce involved. The first ten pages of this next episode are kind of Bruce-infused and we see how he reacts to what happened with Selina, what happened with him being kidnapped, what happened with Hush essentially beating him. The world thinks he is dead, so we have to see Bruce emerge back into society and see what he does with what has happened and what he does essentially makes the entire city know about Hush, and prepared to stop him. This declaration of war also fits into the solidification of Bruce's role and identity (a theme of the season). We're going to see him really step into the shoes of The Batman and be content there. He's strayed from his original intent, and mission, and he realises that and it's going to be the driving force for him in this back half of the season. Ironically enough, there's a good reason why he has to get back in touch with his original intent/mission but that will be revealed later in the season. Team Watchtower, for all intents and purposes, aren't functioning in "Overload." They're all off doing their own thing but they are all united in wanting to defeat Hush. Bruce is no different than the others Count Vertigo has a pretty interesting end to the episode. I think you're going to be able to tell what's being set up with him. As for his history with Helena, I think there will always be that history between them, but whether or not she owes him anything else is another question. Vertigo definitely treats this debt as a one time deal. But who knows... Thanks for all the questions, man. I love answering them! If you're waiting for Mia, I believe she could resurface in the 50th, and she'll definitely be around for one of the final episodes of the season, if not the back three (including the finale). Just wait and see

Just In: Oliver Queen Returns! Justin Hartley InksDeal to Return for 50th Episode of "Watchtower" and More! It's been a while since VSGuide was able to bring fans of the hit VPN series, "Watchtower" some good news, but now we finally can: Justin Hartley is booked to return to the show after departing the series at the end of the second season. Fans familiar with the character's departure would know that Toyman (Chris Gauthier) was successful in erasing Oliver's memories, leaving Chloe (Allison Mack) only one choice: to activate the chip in his head, and restore his memories which included everything except the love of his life. Since then, the character has resided in Star City, where he was healed back to health after the Watchtower explosion, and later began his iconic DC Comic superhero career as Green Arrow in his own respective city. Now, the character is set to return to Gotham in the back half of the season, and actor Justin Hartley left this message regarding his return for his fans:
Producers followed Hartley's announcement by telling VSGuide that the fiftieth episode of the season deals with the question of what could have happened if Chloe Sullivan never travelled to Gotham City, and that several, if not all past veterans of the show will be resurfacing in the episode to honour all episodes, including, but not limited to, Justin Hartley's Oliver Queen / Green Arrow.
"Where would Oliver be if he didn't follow Chloe to Gotham City? What kind of relationship would they have if they stayed in Star City together? These are the kind of questions we will be answering."
Despite the attention being focused on the big fiftieth episode of the show, Hartley is said to be booked for at least four episodes of the final seven, one of which will be the highly anticipated season finale. So, what are your thoughts on the big announcement? Are you hoping to see a Chlollie reunion or are you just happy to see Oliver back on your screens? Sound off below!

Part of me wanted to do a companion webisode series detailing what he gets up to, but I think the mystery just adds even more to the show. There's a reason he couldn't be part of this season in a similar capacity to the last, and there's a reason he's coming back in the last half of the season. I hope you guys like the story I've got for him, and are looking forward to present day Oliver Queen back on the show!

I really want that dynamic to show much Ollie has changed since she last saw him. How heartbreaking is Chloe's reunion with Ollie? Because I am imagining the worst.haha Also have you considered adding Cissie King to WT? Because before there was Mia Dearden, she was the only teen archer around. And of course there was a "popular" rumor that she was GA's kid.

Whether it happens or not, I won't say As for the reunion between Chloe and Oliver, I will say that there is something that will shake things up a little. Two things, actually. But I think it'll be most heartbreaking for Chloe, and for the audience who enjoy the Chloe/Oliver dynamic. There is no magic cure to bring all of Oliver's memories back. There's a lot of story to be told in Oliver not knowing who she is, and that being a permanent situation so I can confirm that we're not looking at a situation where Oliver comes back, remembers, and Chloe ends the season in a really happy place. In fact, losing his memories of her was just the first big kicker for their relationship, and as terrible things tend to come in threes, the last two punches will be dished out somewhere in the last seven episodes of the season.

What Hope said will have incredible relevancy for when Oliver resurfaces, and something I can talk about towards the latter end of the season but it was never to imply that Oliver would remember her. In saying what I said earlier, it's not that Oliver may never be able to remember Chloe again so much as that there's not going to be a quick fix to such a massive storyline, and I feel there's more story in what I've got planned than some miraculous cure / return of memories. As for every other part of Oliver's storyline, I can't tell you too much. Closer towards his return to the show, I'll be posting more and more information about him though, I promise. I just don't want to give too much away. Hopefully certain elements that you wanted to see will happen on the show, and if not, I promise what is planned will be worth it

Just In: Sam Jones III and Kristin Kreuk's Pete Ross and Lana Lang Paired Up in Fiftieth Episode Event! The fiftieth episode of "Watchtower" has officially began production, and returning to set in a whole different dynamic are two Smallville veterans, Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) and Sam Jones III (Pete Ross). What dynamic could that be, you ask? Well, let's just say that love is in the air for the first love of one Clark Kent, and the man who spent three seasons hung-up-on-Chloe in the unrequited hopeless romantic kind of way. Yes, Pete Ross and Lana Lang are officially an item. The catch, however, is this romantic pairing only exists in a world where Chloe Sullivan never made it to Gotham City after the conclusion to the hit CW/WB series "Smallville."
"This episode is all about honouring the past to figure out how far these characters have come in the present," executive producer and series creator, Jack Malone told VSGuide of the upcoming fiftieth episode event, "Part of that means exploring the life Chloe had before she made it to Gotham." Malone admitted difficulty in finding a way to incorporate these two important characters into the story, calling for a romantic coupling between the two. However, the idea of Lana and Pete following their iconic romance from the comic books has lingered long before now. The question becomes: are these two destined to follow the same path, and what makes Chloe's absence from Gotham wedge these two together in this alternate reality? "Cracking into this world, we've found a lot of story that excites us and a lot of story that we could do a whole other show with," Malone spoke of the upcoming storyline, "However, we don't have the time to do that, unfortunately, so there will be some questions, and some answers, and hopefully what we give is accepted and understood. Essentially, the idea is that everyone in Metropolis, and everyone from Chloe's past are leading happy, successful lives, including Chloe, but everyone she grew to love and know from Gotham are facing hell on Earth." So while we may not know what put these two characters into each other's orbits, fans can expect a happier life for these characters who had struggled through loss, heartbreak and suffering over the course of Smallville's run. "When we revisit Lana later in the season, we'll learn that this happy life isn't what she's leading in the real world. But that's a story for later."
It is still unknown whether or not we will be seeing Lana in the present day storyline for the fiftieth episode, but Kristin Kreuk is signed on for more episodes this season, following the cancellation of the sister series, "Trinity." In the meantime, what do you guys expect from a Lana and Pete hookup? Do you think it's as odd as we do or perhaps opposites really do attract? Sound off below!
