Episode 1.01 - "Along Came A Spider" Official Description Released The VPN's Official Description (Posted 5/6/11): SERIES PREMIERE. SPIDER-GIRL AND THE BIRTH OF THE X-MEN. Episode 1.03 - "The Demons Among Us" Official Description Released The VPN's Official Description (Posted 5/6/11): INNER DEMONS ARE WORSE THAN THE REAL DEMONS. One week after Kristen joins the Xavier Institute, we learn that Professor X has been in contact with the Zero Street Asylum for a few years now, seeing a particular patient regularly: Jean Grey (Famke Janssen, "X-Men", "100 Feet"), a mutant thrown into captivity out of her father's fear of her mutation. But now that she's ready to finally be released into the custody of the Xavier Institute, he's got another mutant coming up on the radar: Karin Wagner (Michelle Trachtenberg, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), a mutant with an abnormal appearance that has been dubbed a "freak" and is being exploited by a traveling "House of Horrors". With the few members he has, Xavier splits the team up on their first assignment as members of the unofficially established X-Men. Official Cast Interviews on the way?
The producers of THE OUTCASTS have just leaked that official cast interviews are on the way as both episodes 1x02 Seeing Red and 1x03 The Demons Among Us go into production, and episode 1x01 Along Came A Spider enters post-production. EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MISSY PEREGRYM[/u][/color][/size]  Despite her busy schedule in the coming weeks with two episodes going into production at once, we have managed to sit down with THE OUTCASTS cast member Missy Peregrym. Being the first AU virtual series being aired on theVPN, questions have already been circling about the characters of this new series, whose air date has yet to be confirmed by the producers or the network. So you play Peter Parker/Spider-Man's alternate, Melanie Haelstrom/Spider-Girl. What's the difference between Melanie and Peter?"Melanie is a girl," Missy laughs, "that's about it. She's a little more outgoing that Peter was and has a little more attitude, but that's really the only difference Melanie has with Peter Parker." What can you tell us about what's in store for Melanie this season?"Well, as we already know, Professor Xavier knows her secret. She's going to help him put together the X-Men," Missy went on to say that Melanie has a lot of internal drama going on and that, "It's really going to mess with her. She gets so caught up in what she considers to be her ultimate responsibility that she forgets that she's really just a kid." She went on to say that there isn't much else that she can say because the producers have been being extremely strict with the information they let out right now, "They want to keep the viewers on the edge of their seat. They don't want to spoil everything before it starts!" Is there a romantic interest in Melanie's future, at least in this season?"The producers are very tight lipped with that subject right now," she tells us, "as far as I know, the answer is no."
