EXCLUSIVE: "Hellbound" Sequence Two To Bring the Apocalypse! CAUTION: SPOILERS FOR SEQUENCE ONE AHEAD!!!
_____________ The first sequence of the supernatural/horror drama "Hellbound" came to a close last week, and while we're still reeling over it's finale, we're excited to learn what's to come! VSGuide got a chance to catch up with executive producers, Chris Davis for a little scoop on the the next sequence!
Sequence One concluded with Queen Ephemera and her vampiric army invading The New World, revealing the existence of vampires to the world. Sequence two will pick up three months after sequence one ended, and the world will be in a very different place, as well our main characters.
When asked to further explain the 'state of the New World' executive producer Chris Davis replied, "We're pulled back into the story and you'll see a very post-apocalyptic setting. It's not just Chicago that's taken a hit, this attack has pretty much gone global. Granted, some places are much better off than others. But the governments have all but crumbled and mankind isn't in a very good place."
It sounds like we're going to be introduced to a completely different show next sequence! But producers ensured us it will be a smooth transition. "Sequence one served as a set-up. Setting up characters, setting up mythology and backstory, whereas sequence two and beyond we'll really have the chance to just take our characters, and let them run wild into the world we've create," added Davis.
Speaking of characters, producers were able to give us some information on where they've been during and after the three month time gap! "James and Adam have been forced underground, beneath the city of Chicago. They've been refugees of war, along with many survivors of the attack. There will be somewhat of a human resistance being introduced through their arc, but how far it will go, we just can't say."
Davis added, "Last sequence, James (and Adam by association) saw the most action. They had the more active storyline, where Alyson's was more subdued. Well, it'll be the complete opposite in the first arc of sequence two, as Alyson and Talia have been out patrolling the streets, fighting vampires and saving lives. Alyson has really come into her new powers a lot since we last saw her, but she still has much to learn, which Talia has to remind her of often. Alyson and Talia's arc will be separate from that of James and Adam, at least for a little while, before they finally meet up again. And when they do, don't expect any hugs and kisses after what Alyson learned last about the duo last sequence."
Hellbound Sequence Two starts production this Spring and will hopefully premiere soon after, but until then, speculate below!

First off, I looooove the fact that there are going to be eighteen episodes (three arcs?) this sequence! I can't wait to see what's happened in the 3 months since vampires went and, you know, took over the world and stuff. All of these characters intruige me so much, and I'm interested to see how Adam/James storyline and Alyson/Talia's storyline are going to meet, if they even meet at all. Good luck, Chris and whoever-will-be-helping-at-the-time-of-writing-maybe-Jack-or-someone-idk!

3 arcs aren't yet planned, but it's been discussed. So, I just made slots for an extra six episodes just in case. Amin and I will be tackling this sequence, and hopefully Jack Malone will be jumping aboard as well. We had been trying to get a show up and running together for ages, and this is the only one that actually took. So, I'd be thrilled if he returned to production!

EXCLUSIVE: SEQUENCE TWO WELCOMES JESSICA LANGE, ANTHONY HEAD AND MORE!! PLUS; THE RETURN OF 'CHIEF!'
Hellbound has yet to start active production, but producers have released another bit of casting news for the upcoming sequence! Get ready for an onslaught of new characters, as well as some returning ones!
Producers reveal that Chi McBride will reprise his role as "Chief Fisher" in sequence two, as he was missing throughout the entire second arc of sequence one. When asked why we didn't see his character in arc two, and what brings him back now, producer Chris Davis replied, "The decision to exclude Chief from arc two wasn't taken lightly. He was a big part of Alyson's storyline in the beginning, and I know people expected to see him last arc with Alyson being locked up and all. I almost had his character make a last minute appearance in the sequence finale, but decided to hold off because it didn't really fit. But Chief will be coming back into the fold next sequence, but perhaps not in a way you would expect. I can reveal that most of his scenes will be shared with James and Adam, as he too, along with most of the cities police force, has been driven underground by the vampires.
But what does that mean for the Alyson and Chief dynamic? "While the Chief will be more involved in James' arc, we won't be keeping him and Alyson away from one another forever. They left things in a pretty rocky place, but with the changing circumstances, they find a bit of common ground and will come to an understanding. Something I can't yet see for Alyson and James.
In other news, producers have revealed FIVE new casting updates for sequence two, which include Jessica Lange, Anthony Stewart Head, Monica Bellucci, Meghan Ory, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
Those five, along with a sixth actor who has yet to be cast, will represent the Council of Six, the leaders of The Order. We got a peak at the Council during arc two, however, they were wearing different skin. At the start of sequence two, they will have chosen their human hosts, as ordered by Queen Ephemera. Producers revealed that almost all Old World vampires have taken on human forms. "Sightings of the "Vokahri form" have become slim-to-none, which makes it difficult for our characters to differentiate between humans and vampires."
According to producers, each member of the Order Council will have distinct personalities and quirks. "They aren't just there to be menacing. They will add quite a few layers to the vampire's cause, and will instrumental in the New World getting back to normal or being forever lost."
That's it, folks! I'm sure we'll get more details on the council soon, but for now, what do you think about these newest additions to the cast? Sound off below!

EXCLUSIVE: Producers Reveal Projected Release Date for "Hellbound" Sequence Two!!
Last spring, Hellbound completed its first sequence with an apocalyptic bang! Now, the time has come for the supernatural webisode series to make its return, and we've got the inside scoop on when that might happen. Producers reveal the projected air date for round two of their thrilling tale of vampires, witches, and horror.
Executive producer, Chris Davis told VSGuide, "Production of Hellbound sequence two is currently underway and we really want to get this sequence out at the beginning of next year. Last sequence we were able to meet our projected air date, and we're hoping things will fall into place, and we're able to meet it again this time around. That being said, we're currently hoping to release the first six episodes of sequence two starting January 23rd, 2015, which is one day short of a year after the previous arc premiered."
Davis went on to say, "Season two will pick up about three months after the sequence one finale, and we'll find our heroes in a state of hopelessness. James and Adam have been in hiding underneath the city, and have basically giving up all hope. They're desperate and struggling to survive in this cruel new world, especially James, as he feels somewhat responsible. His main storyline this season will be dealing with self-doubt and self loathing. He will also be experiencing more visions due to the effects of The Order's mind manipulation spell."
When asked about our female leads, Davis added, "Alyson, along with two of our newest additions to the main cast (Talia and Katrina), will be taking a more active role in getting the world back to the way things were. Last sequence, our boys were the ones who really took control of the storyline, but in sequence two, the roles are very much reversed."
So, there you have it! "Hellbound" Sequence Two is on the way and possibly premiering January 23, 2015! Mark your calendars! And stay tuned for more exclusive updates on the series!

So....I love Hellbound. Any chance we will get the season premiere soon? I've actually been thinking a lot about Hellbound lately. Hopefully, once I've finished all the few remaining episodes of Screenwriters Paradise Sequence One, and finish the season one finale of Tomb Raider, I can start working on this. I'd definitely like to get back into this universe some day soon.
