The Flash is an upcoming American television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, to air on The CW. It will be based on the DC Comics character Flash (Barry Allen), a costumed crime-fighter who was created by Robert Kanigher, John Broome and Carmine Infantino. It is intended to be a spin-off to Arrow, existing in the same universe. A pilot, to be written by Berlanti, Kreisberg and Johns, and directed by David Nutter, has been greenlit. The series was officially picked up on May 8, 2014.

WHO HAS CHECKED THIS OUT? BECAUSE I'M IN LOVE WITH IT.
Er hem, but on a much more calm note - I am enjoying the heck out of this show. I love all of the characters, especially Barry (or Baerry, as I like to call him. Get it...? I'm sorry.), Iris, Cisco, and Caitlin.
If you have not checked this out, you definitely should!

I am definitely hooked on this show - once I realised I didn't need to be completely up to date on "Arrow", I thought, ah what the hell, and watched the pilot - hours later I was watching ALL the subsequent episodes, LOVING IT!! BTW, although Barry IS all kinds of cute (I still see him as Sebastian from "Glee" unfortunately at the moment), it's Detective Eddie that draws my attention

This is just a super fun show. What is there not to love about it, really?
I know next to nothing about The Flash mythology, so I went into this series pretty blind. But from what I can gather so far, Barry Allen is the most adorable superhero ever. Iris West is my lady love. Cisco Ramon is king and Caitlin Snow is amazing as well!
The father/son dynamic between Barry and Joe is a HUGE highlight for me. I love every scene those two share. Barry hasn't had the best of luck in the romance department so far, but it looks like Linda Park is coming onto the show and I'm excited to see what she'll bring! Dr. Wells is the most shady human being, and didn't like Eddie at first, but he's grown on me. Still keeping my eye on him though.

This season was incredible. I really love how it was able to differentiate itself from Arrow. All of the characters really stand out when I step back and look at this season as a whole, all having their own much needed beats and moments of excellency. The finale was awesome, and I can't wait to see how they continue the story because... ...they're introducing the multiverse, I believe I've read.
I also hope Ronnie becomes a main character for season two. That would be great, please and thank you.

I just finished my binge watch and that Finale really ended the main story of S1 while instantly, literally, blew a hole wide open into the next season. Literally again. I do have to say the one thing I loved about the show was just the fact it was campy, while at the same time was dramatic. It was a breath of fresh air from the dark themes of Arrow and took us into a world where meta humans make puns, like BRILLIANT! I fell in love with the characters and I loved every story that was told. I cannot wait for S2 and to see what kind of stories are in store for us. And I agree Brady, Ronnie should be a Main in S2. Just cause Caitlin and Ronnie, so cute.

Let's talk Killer Frost... Now, when "The Flash" was first announced, we were introduced to Dr. Caitlin Snow, who in the comics would eventually become another villainess to take the name 'Killer Frost'. Caitlin was always closed off emotionally, until her supposed-dead fiance was revealed alive, and the 'icy' exterior Caitlin has finally melted and she became a lot warmer and friendlier. She's been through the mill over the last couple of years, loosing both Ronnie again, and then falling for Jay and seemingly loosing him as well, not to mention the emotional wringer her kidnap by Zoom put her through, so it's no surprise at times, she can still that put up that wall again, and become closed off from her feelings in order to function. When we met Earth-2 Caitlin, who had developed powers and embraced the identity of 'Killer Frost', we saw the flip side of the Caitlin we know and love. A Caitlin who lacked real human compassion, living only for creating chaos and mischief, and leaving frozen bodies in her wake. When Cisco told her all this, she promised him she was nothing like that - but everyone has a dark side, something they hide from those around them, and her propensity to shut of her emotions can leave Caitlin more then a little 'cold' at times. So, when our Caitlin finally started developing her own icy powers, it was something she wrestled with, and hid from everyone, afraid they would see her not as Caitlin, but 'Killer Frost'. When this arc first started, I celebrated, because I love Danielle, and really wanted to see where they went with this. Almost all the metas on Earth-1 have gone 'evil' because their situations turned them that way before they gained powers (Girder/Mist/Weather Wizard), or because they were consumed by their own anger and rage (Blackout/Pied Piper). I mean, I could see Caitlin being tempted by her own darkness, especially after meeting her doppleganger, but our Caitlin has a support system Earth-2 Caitlin lacked, and I think that would make the difference between her being pulled towards darkness or embracing the light, and an interesting dilemma for both the character and the actress. Instead, the writers have decided that Caitlin is once again a victim - just like she's suffered in love, now she's going to suffer through her powers. Whereas Cisco has seen he also had a dark doppleganger, but has chosen to use his own for good, Caitlin doesn't seem to get a choice in the matter - her powers aren't just evil, they're making her develop something akin to dissociative identity disorder! She treats her abilities like a disease, and that they are affecting her mentally as well as physically. Instead of having the option of learning control, she has to wear gadgets that surpress them, which will more then likely make things worse in the long run for her, I feel. While I can understand that having her tread the same ground as Cisco might not make for good story-telling, I feel like Caitlin is being victimized - just to live up to her comic book legacy. Now, yes, I know I'm normally a proponent of sticking to comic book lore, and can get annoyed when they don't, for a character like Caitlin, a starring cast member, much beloved by fans, I think a little wiggle room is okay - just because she has cold powers doesn't mean she HAS to be evil - look at Elsa, for crying out loud, or the superheroes Ice, Icemaiden and Iceman! If they can deviate from the comics enough to kill Laurel in "Arrow", I hope it means they're willing to make Caitlin a hero.

Now, can i hear your opinion on Barry Allen and his role for S3, because apparently I'm "close-minded and dispicable" for not being understanding to Barry's reasoning for causing "Flashpoint" even though, the show this season has painted him as a villain for doing it

What Barry did, going back in time and changing something he knew he shouldn't mess with, came from a place of grief and rage and the universe. He basically gave the universe the Finger, and got to have his cake and eat it for several months. I can't fault Barry for wanting that, but I really hope he's learned his lesson about messing with time now, especially after what the real Jay Garrick told him in their visit to the 1980s. To be frank, I miss the S1 Barry immensely - the guy who loved having his new abilities and whose pretty much had a smile on his face all the time, aside from those odd moments where he'd gripe about Iris/Eddie or about his Dad being in jail. Nowadays, it seems he's always so dour - he can't ever catch a break! It's like the writers have decided "how can we kick Barry when he's down, this time?". I miss the lighter moments that really seperated the show from "Arrow", that seem to be severely lacking of late. I understand that he needed to be shown the consequences of his grief-induced selfish actions - Dante's death, Iris and Joe not talking and the like - but he has given a lot to being a hero, I don't think you should blame him that harshly for what he did in a moment of insanity. I loved the fact that Iris got that, that she supports Barry, even as he takes a few too many pages from the Oliver Queen guide to "How To Blame Yourself For Everything Bad In The World." To sum, I can see why you'd feel that way, Karl, definitely a lot of the first half of S3 problems are down to that moment of selfishness Barry followed through on, but considering what he'd gone through - loosing his mom and dad to evil speedsters who had spent months manipulating him, men that he'd called 'mentors', I personally cannot hate him for that, or even blame him. But it's merely an effect that the previous 2 years of 'adventures' ultimately pushed him towards, not to mention the darker turn of the series itself, and the fallout having powers can have on not just one person, but everyone around them. Given what he's lost of late, I can't fault him his attitude and determination to save Iris from the fate he's been given a glimpse of - she's the one good thing in his life that has always been there for him, always supported him, that I don't think he could truly live without - which is a surprise because I haven't always been a 'BarrIs' shipper - I much preferred 'BarrIcity', same as I prefer 'Dollie' over 'Olicity'. But let's face it - she's his Lois Lane, not his Lana Lang - she's the woman he is MEANT to be with. I'll admit, I've lost interest in watching pretty much all of the current superhero CW line up this year, but I still keep abreast of them all, via Wikipedia and Youtube, so I'm still keeping up to date on the storylines and developments, and look forward to seeing if/who they do save Iris from Savitar, not to mention who Savitar actually is. I'm also looking forward to S4 and them finally living up to the promise of a non-speedster villain, because that got so-totally old by S2!
