Episode #4-01: "Restoration" Written by: Jack Malone Produced by: The VPN UPDATED 16/1/2015 - Episode title posted. - Series Creator Jack Malone told VSGuide that the episode title stands true to so many different storylines existing in the premiere. "It's not just about certain characters and the restoration of certain roles they've played, or certain components of their lives, but it's mostly about Gotham City as a whole, it's police force, it's criminals, it's very essence. - It has been revealed that the 'Red Hood Gang' will be the main antagonists of the episode. - The question of who took the Lazarus Serum in last season's finale will be answered by episode's end. UPDATED 14/1/2015 - The episode will take place three months after the Season 3 finale, titled 'Hush.' - Deborah Ann Woll joins the reoccurring cast as a yet-to-named 'White Knight' of Gotham City. - DC Comics' character 'Tim Drake' will make his 'Watchtower' debut. Actor Logan Lerman has been booked for the role. - Patrick J. Adams will return as Dick Grayson. This episode is said to deliver some closure for his S3 storyline. "There wasn't much of an opportunity to really close out [Dick Grayson's] story last season, and this episode provides us with the opportunity to tell that story," Malone said of the upcoming departure, before promising that it probably won't be the last we'll see of him. "If the opportunity presents itself to bring Dick Grayson back for an episode or two, then by all means it'll happen." - Emma Stone will reprise her role of Barbara Gordon (Oracle) in this episode. - It is said that Tim Drake and Dick Grayson will cross paths.

Episode #4-03: "Damaged" Written by: Jack Malone Produced by: The VPN UPDATED 4/04/2016 - Kristin Kreuk told VSGuide that Lana Lang will find herself in a very familiar environment in this episode, and will lend her experiences and expertise to a struggling Jimmy (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) who lost his adoptive parents last season. "Jimmy is a tortured soul and Lana kind of takes him under her wing this episode to see if she can help heal some of his wounds," Kreuk told of the upcoming storyline which is said to also have its purpose in reintroducing Lana to the main story. "We get to explore Lana's history a little bit too in losing her parents, and remind the audience of where Lana's been prior to this point in her life." - Carrie Fisher reprises her role as Pauline Kahn in this episode. TheVPN has recently revealed that the actress is only booked for two episodes this season due to her busy schedule filming the new Star Wars instalment, with the premiere being her first appearance, and this episode being her second. "Fans can expect an interesting run in between Kahn and Maxwell Lord that will have a ricocheting effect on the first half of the season." - Oliver (Justin Hartley) and Lana are expected to reunite in this episode. - Serinda Swan guest stars as 'Zatanna' and is expected to play a huge role in the episode. Episode #4-04: "Batwoman" Written by: Jack Malone Produced by: The VPN UPDATE 22/5/2016 - Flashbacks will reveal Katherine Kane was in Gotham during the Hush attacks in the Season 3 finale, titled 'Hush.' - Despite previous information released, the character of Summer Gleeson, portrayed by Holland Roden, will make their first appearance in this episode. Gleeson wouldn't describe herself as having anti-vigilante beliefs, but as a reporter, she holds herself to the unbiased nature of her profession and the story she has been assigned is not in favour of our heroes. - Dina Meyer guest stars as Kate Spencer, making her return after her last appearance in the Season 4 premiere. Series creator Jack Malone told VSGuide that there will be some interesting developments for the character and her role as 'Manhunter' that start to take shape in this episode, but will continue throughout the rest of the season. - The reunion between Lana (Kristin Kreuk) and Oliver (Justin Hartley) will come to a hasty end when Oliver suggests the solution to her current problem lies in reuniting with Lex Luthor. - This episode marks the second appearance of Jaime Pressly's 'Crystal Frost,' where her unrequited love for Maxwell Lord (Gil Bellows) will come bubbling to the surface and be preyed on by a not-to-be-messed-with Katherine Kane.

The character is expected to suit up as the next Catwoman. - In true Watchtower fashion, this episode will be the "lockdown" episode of the season and spend most of the episode inside the Gotham Gazette. - The Red Hood, a prominent threat at the beginning of the season, resurfaces with more men in his Red Hood Gang. - Maxwell Lord will sabotage the reputation of one of the main vigilantes.

"We've already talked about Kyle [Gallner] being back as Impulse, but there's a long list of familiar faces playing a role in this episode that we're really excited about." - The main conflict of the episode involves Maxwell Lord creating a portal that lets him access another Earth — an Elseworld — in order to obtain something that no longer exists on Earth-1. - This episode focuses on the emotional fallout of Zatanna's warning that "death is on its way." - Central City is featured in this episode. - Chloe will receive a message from an old friend. - Lana's deep dark secret will finally come out.

She is said to share her debut in an intense confrontation with Vicki Vale (Yvonne Strahovski). - Series Creator Jack Malone told VSGuide that the episode is all about love and heartbreak. "We have all these promising relationships that are beginning to blossom on the show, and we contrast it with Killer Frost who isn't just heartbroken, but she's been given this power that makes her pain and her anger a dangerous threat for the city." The DC Comics villain is said to be quite determined take her vengeance out on the men of Gotham, especially those in visible relationships. The one place characters don't want to end up: Gotham General. Producers revealed that there's a threat inside the hospital that will be responsible for the death of a major character. - Oliver (Justin Hartley) stumbles upon footage of Chloe (Allison Mack) and Oliver's past relationship. - A couple will get engaged in this episode. - Kelsey Grammer guest stars as Victor Fries. He will play a key role in Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) storyline. - Katherine Kane (Deborah Ann Woll) opens up about her past. - Bruce (Christian Bale) will begin a new romantic relationship with a familiar character. - The Red Hood is said to be the main antagonist of the episode. - A yet-to-be announced Batman character is set to make their debut in this episode. UPDATED 04/01/2017 - Katherine (Deborah Ann Woll) is poached for a new job working with the Mayor and the DA. - Smallville vet, Michael Rosenbaum reprises his role of Lex Luthor in the episode. He shares most of his scenes alongside Justin Hartley's Oliver Queen who takes a trip to Metropolis to seek Lex's help in saving Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) life. - Gordon (Dylan Walsh) will confront Batman (Christian Bale) for solutions to bring Sarah (Vera Farmiga) back from the dead.
UPDATED 19/04/2016 - The episode is said to feature a flashback storyline that centers on Gordon (Dylan Walsh) and his affair on future-wife Barbara Kean (Kathleen Robertson) with new GCPD recruit, Sarah Essen (Vera Farmiga). - Emma Stone returns to 'Watchtower' as Barbara Gordon / Oracle.

Episode #4-11: "A.R.G.U.S" Written by: Jack Malone Produced by: The VPN UPDATED 04/01/2017 - Chloe (Allison Mack) is brought in to the ARGUS facility by Lana (Kristin Kreuk) for extensive training. - Katie Cassidy reprises the role of Zinda Blake, who first appeared in the seventh episode of the season. - Producers told VSGuide that fans of Lana Lang will finally receive the storyline and focus they've been craving for the character. "We needed to spend [Season 4A] planting the seeds, and now we have a strong mid-season arc for Lana that begins in [this episode]." They also teased a greater focus on her relationship with Steve Trevor in this episode. "There are some consequences to Steve's actions from [episode 9] where he agreed to put Lana on ice, and they come to the forefront in this particular episode." - Someone will visit the former Watchtower headquarters, underneath the Gotham Gazette from Season 3.

Episode #4-12: "Partnership" Written by: Jack Malone Produced by: The VPN UPDATE 07/02/17 - Actress Emma Stone told VSGuide that Barbara Gordon comes into direct contact with Hush in this episode, and that there is some resolution found for the Gordon family. "There's been a lot of conflict between Barbara and her father [Gordon] that finds some closure in this episode," Stone told of the upcoming storyline, "The question of whether or not she can forgive him, and they can repair their relationship... it's all answered in this episode... in a way that forces them to face Hush." - Katherine Kane (Deborah Ann Woll) is arrested for attempted murder in this episode by District Attorney (Lisa Kudrow) and GCPD Officer Jack Forbes (Matt Czuchry) which opens an investigation into their credibility. - Chloe (Allison Mack) and Summer (Holland Roden) embark on another stakeout for a story they're working on at Gotham Gazette. - Lynda Carter reprises her role of Moira Sullivan and shares pivotal scenes alongside Justin Hartley's Oliver Queen in this episode. - Producers told VSGuide that the character of Naomi Singh (Megalyn Echikunwoke) will gradually return to the show, making her first appearance since 4A in this particular episode. Episode #4-13: "Extract" Written by: Jack Malone Produced by: The VPN UPDATED 25/02/2017 - VSGuide announced that Stana Katic will reprise her role of Talia Al Ghul in a series of flashbacks that sees her cross paths with Lana Lang. - Sarah-Jane Redmond will guest star as Lana's "Aunt Nell," from 'Smallville.' The actress was spotted on set filming a funeral scene. It is uncertain whether or not her scene takes place in the present or as part of the flashback story. She was the only one present in the scene. - Bill Mondy is set to resurface as the doctor responsible for fusing Lana with the Prometheus Suit. He will return as 'Dr. Edward Groll' and share a scene with Kristin Kreuk and another scene with Justin Hartley. - Megalyn Echikunwoke also returns as 'Naomi Singh' as her story continues from the previous episode, 'Partnership.' - Chloe opens up to another member of the team about Zatanna's warning for the future, and it will result in an emotional scene between the two characters.
UPDATED 07/02/17 - Actress Annette O'Toole reprises her role of Martha Kent in this episode. UPDATED 04/01/2017 - Maxwell Lord (Gil Bellows) starts targeting specific members from Watchtower. - VSGuide has learned that the episode will offer a conclusion to the Prometheus Suit storyline that has plagued Lana (Kristin Kreuk) since the beginning of the season. "Lana has struggled with the decision to remove the suit, or to keep the powers that allow her to be a hero, and it all comes to a head in [episode thirteen]," series creator Jack Malone told VSGuide. "This will be a huge episode [for Lana], and we're going to be looking back at all the defining moments that lead her to the decision she ultimately makes."

"Hush has scattered himself throughout time, and so who knows when the last time he'll resurface in these characters' lives will be, but this will be the last time he interferes in [Season 4]," the actor revealed. Greenberg told VSGuide that the episode offered a "satisfying" conclusion to his two-season arc, and that "it will tie into everything that motivated him in [Season 3]." - Chloe (Allison Mack) turns to an unlikely source for help in the war against Checkmate. - When Selina (Eliza Dushku) shows up in Gotham, her plans are to stay for several months. However, Dushku is only expected to appear in this one episode. - Ethan Bennett, portrayed by Alfred Enoch, will also return in this episode. "It's something we've known for a long time but wasn't something we wanted to reveal until we were closer to the finish line," the 'Watchtower' creator acknowledged, "We're excited to tell the story of why Chloe Sullivan exists." - The Legion Ring will play a key role in the episode, with time travel being a key component of the episode. - This marks the final episode for Annette O'Toole in Season 4.
