Exclusive: Michael Rosenbaum Books Return to Watchtower Season 4!
VSGuide has learned exclusively that Smallville vet Michael Rosenbaum has booked his return as Lex Luthor in the mid-season premiere of Watchtower Season 4. The character — last seen in the Season 3 episode titled "Hope" — was name-dropped a handful of times in the episodes leading up to the mid-season finale when Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) health worsened and she desperately searched for answers about removing the suit. Now, Lex returns to play a significant role his ex-wife's quest to save her life from the decaying effects of the Prometheus Suit.
"Oliver makes a trip to Metropolis in [episode 10] where he makes good on Lana's request to involve Lex in saving her life," series creator Jack Malone told VSGuide, "Oliver and Lex have both experienced a loss in their memory, and have also discovered that they once attempted to settle down with a woman they loved, and so they have this really dynamic relationship that was a lot of fun to write in the mid-season premiere."
The 'Watchtower' creator revealed that Lex has an entire room devoted to what he's dug out from his forgotten past and is no stranger about his love for Lana Lang. "There's always been a genuine side to Lex that stems from love and the lack thereof in his life, and whether it's craving a stronger relationship with his father, his friendship with Clark, or his love for Lana, it's always been the part of this character that allows us to see his humanity," Malone reminded, "Instead of seeing the evil 'I-want-to-rule-the-world' Lex, we're tapping into a side of the character that made us fall in love with him in the first place." So, it sounds like anyone expecting to see Lex in an antagonistic role might be a little disappointed.
The big question, though: will Lex and Lana reunite?
For those that have seen the mid-season finale, it would be quite a difficult task to see them reunite. But that didn't stop the 'Watchtower' creator from hinting at a possible reunion. "It would be nice to see that, wouldn't it? You'll have to wait and see."
What are your thoughts on the return of Lex Luthor? Are you excited for a potential Lexana reunion? Let us know!

Also, The Justice League International should make an appearance on Watchtower...im just saying.haha I haven't had a chance to read it yet. I plan to read more Maxwell Lord heavy material in the latter half of S4. Right now, I've just pulled a lot of ideas from the character's overall history in the comics, and done my own thing with it in between. And my god, there are so many characters, teams, and dynamics I'd love to bring into Watchtower. I don't think there's enough opportunities left to do everything (the fourth season is already locked in, and next season is the final season). But never say never!

I will say that Generation Lost is the PERFECT story for you to read if you want a good Max Lord story. But got any spoilers for the second run for S4? Well, the mid-season finale ended with a pretty big loss. The next run of episodes (#10 through to #15) will be dealing with the fallout in a number of ways. There's going to be a unique response from Chloe that puts her at conflict with Gordon. There's going to be a focus on corruption within city leadership that pulls Helena and Katherine in to figure out who is abusing their power, and if they can be stopped. ARGUS takes a huge focus. The Suicide Squad will surface in all their glory. You may see a familiar face coming back to the show for an episode alongside an equally familiar threat from seasons past. There's a lot of stuff planned. I'll be sure to post a more specific preview of things to come, but if you have anymore questions, I'll be sure to answer those too

Next question, when does Karl begin his journey to superheroics? Also how does Helena and Katherines relationship progress further? Also, when will Chloe find out about Lex and Oliver meeting up Karl's journey really takes shape in episode 11, 'ARGUS.' It's a great deal of levity in an otherwise serious episode, but it certainly has its moments of conflicts. He's very much a supporting character to supporting characters, and represents a larger part of the story that will take shape as the season progresses. Helena and Katherine ended the mid-season finale by becoming "girlfriends." They've just survived a traumatic experience together, and that also really bonds them. Beyond that, they're just really open with one another; they lean on each other for support, they don't keep any secrets from each other, and they're both going to be working together on a "mission" of sorts to protect Gotham, outside of this war on Lord. They're honestly one of my favourite relationships to write on the show in all four seasons. And I think if you've become a fan of them in the first half of the season, then this next run of episodes should offer you a lot on that front Chloe will definitely know about it. I'm going to have to go back and check ( I'm currently writing #11 and attempting to finish the belated XMAS special) but I have a feeling Chloe knows in episode 10, 'Kin.'

when will episode with school reunion? With Lois Clark and Lana? i wish see lana and Clark meet and meet Lois and lana and when return Martha? I'm super excited about writing the high school reunion episode. I know it's been teased since last season, and hasn't been announced in the first fifteen episodes. I guess I'll just break the news now and say that the episode is called "Smallville" and it will be the sixteenth episode of the season. The goal is to bring back every major cast member from the show in some way, and I'm pretty close to figuring all of that out. A lot of surprises. A familiar antagonist. More of a wait than I'm sure you were wanting, but hopefully it'll be worth it

Exclusive: Eliza Dushku Books Another 'Watchtower' Return for Season 4!It's been a while since Selina Kyle visited Gotham, but now VSGuide can confirm that Eliza Dushku has booked a return to 'Watchtower' for an upcoming episode in Season 4. Dushku's character was last seen in the Season 3 finale where she had reunited with BFF Holly Robinson, now Arizona, after somehow surviving a never-ending war with Hush and a deadly encounter with Talia Al Ghul. Now, Selina returns to Gotham with some shocking news, and a desire to find some closure for her time in the city and specifically for her time spent with Bruce Wayne.
"We've very happy to have Eliza [Dushku] back, and it'll be a breath of fresh air to catch up with the character of Selina Kyle and to see where she's at after the worst two years of her life," series creator Jack Malone told VSGuide. "Selina comes back to town with some news that is both incredibly satisfying and absolutely devastating, and I think audiences will be shocked to find out just exactly what that news is going to be."
But one other key component of her return is her relationship with Bruce. "Bruce and Selina were once on the same page, and were probably considered soul mates in [Season 2] when they were so compatible for each other. Ever since then, they've just never been able to get back to that familiar place, and when they did at the end of [Season 3], Bruce knew that Selina needed her best friend, not her ex-boyfriend," Malone reminded, "This time, Selina comes back and she's moved on romantically, and Bruce is on the precipice of exploring the feelings he has for someone else too, and we're able to show an even stronger dynamic [between Bruce and Selina] as a result of their maturity and their genuine desire to see one another happy." Does that mean fans of the Bruce and Selina relationship have to give up on them ending up together? "We still have one more season to go. I don't think anyone should lock in their predictions for how everything is going to end."
One question we had to ask the 'Watchtower' creator was why the character of Catwoman hasn't had a more permanent role on the show?
"We always have to look at the story. In [Season 3] there wasn't an opportunity for Selina to be in every episode. She had a crucial storyline that was one of the more important arcs of the season, but it wasn't one that allowed us to follow up on her every episode or every other episode. And after everything that happened [with Hush], we felt like Selina deserved some happiness. Bringing her back in [Season 4] would have thrown her right back into the action of Checkmate and Maxwell Lord, and we didn't want that for her. So now, we get to capitalise on that happiness, and have it be known that she's had the opportunity to live a much better life away from all the chaos for at least six or so months."
And with her protegee, Kitrina Falcone, giving up on her mentor's identity and becoming Catgirl instead, does that leave the door open for Selina to return to her crusade as Catwoman? "The door is always open. Selina Kyle is Catwoman, and vice versa. You might not get to see her back in the mask [in Season 4] but who knows what the future holds. As I said, the door is always open."
Eliza Dushku makes her 'Watchtower' return in the fourteenth episode of the season, titled 'Ghosts.' Let us know what you think about the iconic comic book character's return to the show!
