Legion Ring? Time-Travel? Are we getting someone to go save Tess from Lex? Because if so, yes please Time for some sad news: Tess Mercer's death is a permanent one. At this point in the show, other than bringing a character I love back, there wouldn't be a strong purpose for her to be brought back. The good news, though, is that there are still some stories to be told with the character, and I'm always open to bringing her in for an episode should the story call for it. She's in the first episode back from hiatus, titled 'Smallville.' I have a Christmas Special episode that I hope to finish and air this year that features the character, and Tess should play a role in the first episode — the season premiere — of the fifth and final season Well, luckily for you, i love Tess enough to figure out a way to bring her back.haha. I always felt like her death was a good one because she technocally died a Hero, but im still not happy about it. Any spoilers for my favorite character Hope? Also, will Chloe and Dinah share any scenes together? I mean in all techicallity, Dinah is Hope's step-mom.

Well, luckily for you, i love Tess enough to figure out a way to bring her back.haha. I always felt like her death was a good one because she technocally died a Hero, but im still not happy about it. I just think it would be a disservice to the character to force a resurrection just to change her ending when there wouldn't be much more of a purpose behind it (and as much as I disagree with Tess dying, her ending on the show made a lot of sense). So, because of that, I think there are a lot of stories that can be told through flashbacks, or other means that can enhance aspects of the character and her story that we've seen on Smallville. Undoing her death now, essentially 5+ years from when she died, and in a final season that is meant to wrap up everything, wouldn't feel necessary because I'd be ending her story again in 22 episodes. She was supposed to come back on 'Trinity,' and Chris and I collaborated on ways for that to happen, but unfortunately the show ended. So instead, I like to thread Tess back into the story when it calls for it. Hope has her own subplot in Episode 17, 'Destiny' that is both her from the future, and her in the present. The Hope from the future surfaces because time has gone askew (again). And I absolutely love the idea of time being messed up and Hope being the one to pop back in and be like "what the hell have you guys done now?" It cracks me up. So it's a little of that. And, of course, every Hope we meet from the future is a little different. So she's not the same as the one we met in Season 3, simply because in that aborted timeline, Hope never got to meet Chloe, and was raised by Moira, and obviously she told Chloe where to find her daughter in the present to change all of it. So expect a different side of Hope in this episode. And as for present day Hope, she's going to get in a little trouble. There's definitely some Chloe/Dinah stuff coming up. I think Episode 19, 'Remnants' has a really nice moment between them. And you'll get to see Dinah interact with Chloe and Oliver's child, and introduce herself and it's another really nice moment. I think that takes place in Episode 17, 'Destiny.' I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the episode. So there's some more stuff coming up there. As I said, I've been writing Chloe and Oliver's dynamic as though they're divorced parents, especially since Oliver has figured out that he is a father, and so seeing those dynamics bleed into interactions with Dinah was something I wanted to do. Although, I wouldn't call Dinah a "step-mum." Oliver is still trying to get to know his own child, and I think Dinah respects that and is giving him the space to do that on his own. She hasn't taken up any roles yet, but of course she would make an excellent step-mum if things were to progress to that from Hope and Oliver's end.

Or any of the other main characters? Because i want her to meet Helena,Lana,Lois, and Clark.haha As for the little boy, who may or may not be Chloe Son, will he pop up after his identity is revealed, and by pop up i mean like a future version of him? And any spoilers for Dr.Fates ID? On Jason and Chloe? And will Helena,Bruce, and Chloe share screentime again?

Or any of the other main characters? Because i want her to meet Helena,Lana,Lois, and Clark.haha Hope, from the future, will interact with Chloe and Clark in the episode. I'm not sure if she crosses paths with anyone else. Yes, after his identity is revealed in 417 'Destiny,' he's going to be in the following episode, 418 'Ceremony' and he'll show up again for the finale, 'Checkmate.' But it won't be any future-version of him, so take that as you will I'm not sure what I can say that wouldn't give it away. I don't think I've seen people guess this person as Doctor Fate. And Perry played a pretty significant role in the whole Doctor Fate storyline. We're going to learn what was so important about the Helmet of Nabu crossing paths with him, and the purpose behind it that directly links back to who is under the helmet. I'm really excited about it. Everything is coming together! The first episode back, 416 'Smallville,' is a very important one for them. It's a defining one for them. So definitely check that one out if you're interested in Jason and Chloe, and their dynamic. From there, I think we've seen Jason's jealousy towards Oliver — although I'm not really sure if "jealousy" is the right word to describe it as it's more an observation of how much they mean to each other — and that kind of threads back in as the season pushes towards a conclusion. The question of whether or not Jason can fit into Chloe's world is going to be asked and answered. And I just recently wrote a scene between them that was one of my favourite scenes to write of the season. So there's a lot to come. Some good, some bad. I'm not sure if there's a scene with just the three of them. There could be. But there is a scene with the entire main cast of characters all together in 418 'Ceremony' and no, it's not at the wedding. And it's the last time the entire main cast (as it is in Season 4) are in a scene together. So that's pretty significant, and that obviously includes Chloe, Helena and Bruce in the same room together, haha

I'll figure it out. As for Hope, i cant wait to see her interactions with Clark and Chloe. When Hope shows up it reminds me of Charmed when they had Chris and Wyatt come back to the past. I really want Jason and Chloe to work. Forget her and Ollie, they had their time, let him move on to his Pretty Bird, but let us never forget that Chlollie was goals from start to finish. 👌

I hsve my suspision as to who is going to be under the helmet.....but im going to do my research.....just you wait Jack. I'll figure it out. I'm excited for the reveal. It really pieces things together in a way that stitches us closer towards the endgame. Season 4, in its own way, has mirrored the vibe and approach of a final season. I've brought a lot of reoccurring characters back. I'm wrapping up a lot of storylines that were introduced in the first season. Once it's done, I can talk about the game-plan for Season 5 and how its different to the rest of the series. You're making me want to rewatch Charmed, stop it! Haha. Yeah, it's fun to tackle the future, whether it's a character coming out of it or characters being thrown into it. Chloe and Jason are such a new relationship. They've had some great moments in 'Frost' and 'Cavalry' but again, it's not really until 'Smallville' where we get to see them more in a relationship. So it's really early days for them. So I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on them when they're more involved and more of a couple than they are right now. I think what they have going for them is that they have this connection, and share a common ground. And there's some similarities that made me immediately want to pursue Jason as a love interest for Chloe. What they have against them — and the problems you'll see come out over the next few episodes — is timing. Things were a little calmer when they had their first date, and things are pretty calm for them in 'Smallville,' too. When they inevitably make it back to Gotham, all hell kind of breaks loose and they've got to figure out how they fit into the chaos that is their lives, and whether or not they can work. So that's what their story is in this back half. They're a new relationship, and can a new relationship survive the current climate that Gotham is in? We'll see. As for Chloe and Oliver, I'm not going to abandon a dynamic that pretty much launched the show. Right now, their relationship is that of "divorced parents." Chloe has a new man in her life. Oliver has a new woman in his life. They share a child. So that's new for them, and for the show, and that's been fun to explore. With a wedding coming up for Oliver, the question of whether or not Chloe has moved on and/or can accept that their story is done... that's something that surfaces and has to be addressed. I think 418/419 involve the most "Chlollie" that we've seen since Season 2. And I keep saying "I'm excited" but I am. So much is happening in this back half. I can't wait to see what people think about it

Exclusive: Two Former Series-Regular Cast Members Return For 'Watchtower' Season 4 Finale!Production has begun on the Season 4 finale of 'Watchtower,' and VSGuide has learned exclusively that there will be a lot of familiar faces showing up to close the season out — two of which will be former series-regular cast members Bryan Greenberg (Kyle Williams/Dusan Al Ghul/Hush, Season 3) and Julian McMahon (Guido Bertinelli, Season 2). Neither should be too much of a shock to viewers, as both actors have remained close to the show since their departures, and have both featured in the season prior to the finale. However, two questions remain: what character from his catalogue will Greenberg be playing in the finale, and what does Guido's return say about the fate of Helena Bertinelli? We ask series creator Jack Malone those very questions. Continue reading...
"It's been fun bringing [Bryan Greenberg] back this season, and I think when we set something up in [Season 3] that hinted towards future appearances for Hush/Dusan, or even Kyle — his much better half — and so it made sense to pay that off, and keep that promise, and he's just fit really well in the mid-season storyline," the 'Watchtower' creator, Jack Malone, told VSGuide, "Now, like most of our finales, we like to pay the whole season off, and I think seeing Hush back and back as a prominent threat... it allows us to do that and it allows us to wrap things up in a way that feels more fitting." But what can we expect from the Season 3 big-bad returning? "There were a few references that Hush made [in Season 3] that were about the future, and we get to see what he was talking about in the [season finale]." And beyond that, it sounds like Stana Katic's Talia Al Ghul might get the fair rematch with her brother that she deserves. "We're exciting to see Talia come face to face with her brother after what went down last season, and there'll be some satisfying pay-off there, too," Malone teased, "And this time he won't have an army to tire Talia out first [laughs]."
Also returning for the finale, Julian McMahon is expected to appear in "a number of scenes" throughout the episode. "We've never really washed our hands of the character of Guido Bertinelli, and just like he's been an important character in Helena's life and story, I feel the same way about his relationship with the show," Malone spoke of the returning character, "You'll see him resurface quite early on in the episode, and kind of peppered throughout from there." But what does this mean for Helena? "The finale is very action packed, and very laser-focused on resolving a huge conflict, which is obviously this war, but there are at least two really powerful, emotional stories that balance it all out, and one of those centres around Helena." And while VSGuide was looking for reasons to scratch Helena's name off the list of potential candidates who will suffer the "permanent death" this season, the 'Watchtower' creator wouldn't budge. "This story is one of closure, and so you can take that whichever way you want."
Speaking on the finale, Malone went on to reveal that the last episode of Season 4 would play out like a 'series finale' in nature, and offer concrete endings that honour the past four seasons of the show — which is why there's been so much news about a plethora of returning characters for the final handful of episodes of Season 4. "There are a lot of callbacks, a lot of familiar faces, and a level of closure we've never had for a [season finale] that really does address the history of the show, its characters — both major and minor characters — and their relationships, and it reaches a fitting conclusion for those four seasons worth of story," he revealed, confirming earlier talks of the final season being a little different to what fans might be expecting, "There's definitely a bit of a cliffhanger — a shock reveal — that makes you want to come back for [Season 5] but beyond that, things will feel pretty final, almost finished." And, in addressing the final season, Malone told VSGuide that, "If you see Smallville as the prologue to Chloe's journey, and Watchtower's first four seasons as the story, then our final season is very much that of an epilogue, and that kind of perspective is how we've approached things for this finale, and this entire season of the show."
A return date is yet to be set for Watchtower Season 4, and it's final seven episodes. However, with the finale in production, an announcement is expected to arrive soon. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on the season finale news!

Just a bit of an update— I've edited episodes #16 through to #19. I'm still working through #20 now. There's so much that happens in this episode that my goal in writing it was to just get everything out onto the page and come back and work through it later (basically a problem for future, now-present Jack). And so it's been kind of rough trying to edit it, but I'm making slow progress. From memory, #21 was pretty smooth sailing, but there's a lot of reworking I want to do for the finale, too. I'll probably start airing next month. The next update will be an airdate, but I just wanted to let you guys know how things were travelling.

Im ugly crying because its almost over. Although, now i want to know who the husband to be is.... It's not long now till you find out. I'm pretty excited about the reveal. I've tried ending on a big cliffhanger in previous seasons — from Chloe dying, to Selina being kidnapped by Hush, to Gordon shooting Batman — and this is it's own cliffhanger but on a less "everything is turning to hell" kind of note, haha. And whether it's a reveal people like or not, I still have Season 5 to play around with the couple
