You think this mere BOY can challenge the might of "Oracle"?! Babs thinks that's just plain ADORBZ!! Great casting! Good to see Logan in another VPN show! Sounds to me like the identity of "Red Robin" will be another hacker pseudonym! In breaking the story for Barbara in the premiere, I saw a lot of potential in introducing another hacker for the GCPD. It felt like a good opportunity to bring in someone from the comics, and with that 'hacker' aspect attached to the Tim Drake character from the new 52 comics, I jumped at the chance to bring him on board. You'll definitely see them go toe-to-toe / computer-to-computer in the first episode back of the new season, so that should be a lot of fun

This season seems like it's going to be have a huge theme of contrasts with certain characters; from what we know between the new White Knight and Bruce, and now Oracle and Red Robin. I think there's always been a budding contrast of morals between the Huntress and Batman, so that component of the series has always been there, but from the spoilers so far it seems like it's going to be a driving source of at least the premiere episode. I'm excited for that. Yeah, I think it's something that just offers conflict in more subtle ways. I mean, in Season 3, Barbara was introduced to have that conflict with Chloe, and to sort of show her the error of her ways, and bring up this discussion of heroism and all of that sort of thing. They clashed a little before coming together. Yin was introduced to contrast Gordon. So White Knight/Bruce and Oracle/Red Robin will have that, too. I think it also lends itself to an easier introduction of characters in an already loaded universe. For Red Robin, in this scenario, you have him go up against Barbara, and it establishes his skill level, and you have him work for the GCPD so it already creates that contrast between the law and the vigilantes and the difference that sits between those two. I'm glad you're excited for what's been revealed of S4 so far!

Exclusive: Emma Stone and Patrick J. Adams Book Their Return to 'Watchtower' for Season 4 Premiere! It seems like the Season 4 Premiere of Watchtower will not be without some visits from iconic DC Comics characters that exist within the Batman mythology. Returning to their roles from last season, Emma Stone and Patrick J. Adams have booked a part for the first episode back as Barbara Gordon aka Oracle and Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, respectively.
"It's been three months since Hush attacked Gotham, and as it stands, Oracle and Nightwing are the only two vigilantes left making a difference for the city of Gotham," Malone told VSGuide, revealing how closely the two have been working together since we last saw them in the Season 3 finale. "They've become quite a team, and you'll see them play a significant role in the premiere, especially for the story we're telling with Commissioner Gordon."
While it is expected that Emma Stone will make several appearances throughout the season, series creator Jack Malone told VSGuide that this episode will conclude the story they've had planned for the character of Dick Grayson. "There wasn't much of an opportunity to really close out [Dick Grayson's] story last season, and this episode provides us with the opportunity to tell that story," Malone said of the upcoming departure, before promising that it probably won't be the last we'll see of him. "If the opportunity presents itself to bring Dick Grayson back for an episode or two, then by all means it'll happen." When asked if Dick Grayson would cross paths with Tim Drake in the episode, Malone revealed that it is, indeed, the plan. "They'll cross paths in a really fun, organic way. Hopefully the fans will enjoy it."
The season premiere is expected to air sometime in 2016. More details expected to come in the next few weeks.

Just In: First 'Watchtower' Season 4 Villain Revealed: Enter the 'Red Hood Gang!'Those wondering who our heroes would come up against in the first episode back of the new season don't have to wonder anymore as VSGuide has the answer for you: the Red Hood Gang. In the comics, the villain 'Red Hood' has been associated with The Joker and Jason Todd, who series creator Jack Malone tells VSGuide won't be involved in the storyline in any way, shape or form. Instead, Malone seeks to carve a new storyline associated with the iconic 'Red Hood,' in a similar light to last season's 'Hush.'
"We're not going to be dealing with a season long mystery of who is under the mask," Malone confirmed, for those perhaps worrying of an exact repeat of last season, "However, we'd still like to keep the identity as a surprise for whenever it should be revealed." Malone also revealed the reason they surface in the season premiere. "When we come back to Gotham it's been three months, and as we saw, the city is stronger, it's united, and as a result, it's going to be brighter than it's ever been before. The Red Hood Gang are really the first big threat against it since Hush, and they're very much interested in reclaiming the city." Malone went on to say that he plans to have this storyline thread in and out of the first half of the season which generally consists of 9 to 11 episodes. "In [Season 2] we had the Key Crime Syndicate, and in [Season 3] we had an arc about Doomsday, and locking up all the Arkham escapees, so I think we could use the Red Hood Gang in a similar capacity."
It has been confirmed that 'Red Hood' is not the main villain of the season, but will still have a huge impact on launching the fourth season into action, and posing a constant source of conflict for our heroes going forward.

Just In: Teen Wolf's Holland Roden Booked to PlayBatman: The Animated Series Anchorwoman, 'Summer Gleeson!'Production has officially begun on the new season of 'Watchtower,' and more and more news is coming our way. Holland Roden ('Teen Wolf') has been cast to play the popular anchorwoman from Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS), Summer Gleeson. The character is described as very open-minded young woman who is both painfully persistent and uncompromisingly stubborn. She will be joining Gotham Gazette as a reporter, and working alongside a yet-to-be-announced character from the main cast. The character is expected to debut in the second episode of the season, and thread in and out of the season as a reoccurring character.
"A certain character is leaving the show at the beginning of this season, and it would have left a void immediately felt throughout the rest of the season," series creator, Jack Malone shared of an upcoming departure, "Summer Gleeson comes in and fills that void instantaneously, and sort of solidifies a really interesting dynamic that almost parallels the dynamic we're saying goodbye to in [401]." With this new addition, Malone said that the fans can expect the show to spend a lot more time at Gotham Gazette. "It's not going to just be Vicki and Kahn at the Gazette in [Season 4]."
Excited to see Summer Gleeson arrive in Gotham? Who do you think she will be partnered up with at the Gazette? Which character do you think is bidding a farewell in the season premiere? Sound off below!

Just In: Gil Bellows Joins Main CastFor 'Watchtower' Season 4!
VSGuide has learned exclusively that Gil Bellows ('Abby McBeal') has signed on to reprise the role of DC Comics' Maxwell Lord as a series regular for 'Watchtower' Season 4. The character was last seen towards the end of the third season, where he seemingly killed Amanda Waller (Pam Grier) and took over Checkmate. This season is said to follow his rise to power, with the character set to make his presence known in Gotham quite early on in the season. Bellows is the first official cast member announced for the new season, and is set to make his series regular debut in the first episode back, titled 'Restoration.'
"We were really planting the seeds for what's to come when we re-introduced Maxwell Lord at the end of last season," series creator Jack Malone previewed, "Betraying Waller, and - I guess - killing her was just the beginning of a very large and exciting story planned for [Season 4]." In the comics, Maxwell Lord isn't just the Black King of Checkmate, but he also has the ability of mind control. "Hush seemed to develop that power by the end of the season, and he definitely mimicked it from Lord. You'll actually get to see that interaction pretty early on in the season [between Lord and Hush]." But that's not all you'll see. Malone confirmed that 'Watchtower' is getting back to its original roots for the fourth season. "We've had a season with two villains split into two halves of the show. We've had a season of this ever-growing mystery, and a big bad threading in and out of it all. This time around, we wanted someone to make their presence known as early as the first episode, and be there until the last episode. I think Maxwell Lord is the perfect antagonist to keep around in the same way we had Emil Hamilton [in Season 1]."
Aside from his own daunting appearances as a man who can make you do whatever the hell he wants, he also comes with a large organisation that has been present since the very beginning of the series: Checkmate. "He's a very protected man, and a very powerful man. Unlike Hush, Maxwell Lord is coming to Gotham with an army already willing and able to do what he commands." Despite that, Malone told VSGuide that Maxwell will be forced to play it safe initially. "Whatever his goal is, he can't just go in guns a blazing. It sets up a really interesting dynamic between him and the other characters, and the environment in which we will see him most in will be very new for the show." While Checkmate won't be sent out to take the city - and its heroes - down, it will play a key role in the season. "Checkmate has always been there in the background, and it only feels right to that it emerge in the limelight as the show heads into it's final two seasons," Malone admitted on the re-introduction of Checkmate, "This season feels like we're not just honouring the past three seasons of the show, but we're hopefully getting bigger and better and going in a whole lot harder."
While Bellows is the first to be announced on the main cast for Season 4, VSGuide assures viewers that the full cast list will be out sooner rather than later. Negotiations are at the final stages, and news should be peppered out throughout the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Now this is interesting! I really like how Arrow S4 has not shied away from using Damien Darhk is pretty much every episode, so I'm excited to see how Maxwell Lord will be in that regards; making his motives known early on and being throughout the entire season as a full antagonist. Count me in!

Count me in! I'm excited cause it feels like the show is going back to the S1 roots. I remember having a lot of fun with an antagonist being present throughout the whole season with Emil Hamilton, and I feel like if there's any character who I can achieve that again with, it's Maxwell Lord. The stuff he does in just the first two to three episodes is going to be insane.

Exclusive: Justin Hartley Returns As Series Regular In 'Watchtower' Season 4!Fans have waited a long time for this news to break, but VSGuide can officially confirm it: Justin Hartley is set to return to the new season of 'Watchtower' as Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow in a series regular position. Despite leaving his status as a regular at the end of the second season, Hartley reprised the role in a few episodes of Season 3 and was last seen in the recent season finale, titled 'Hush.' In this exclusive interview with the actor, VSGuide gets all the details from his departure to his return, and ask all the major questions: will Chloe and Oliver get back together? Will Oliver ever get all of his memories back? Will he join Team Watchtower and stay in Gotham? Read on.
VSGUIDE | So the news has finally broke. Oliver Queen is back! It's no secret that your departure at the end of the second season was a result of creative decisions going forward for the show, so was this the plan the entire time or are you just as surprised and happy as the rest of us to be back on 'Watchtower' full time?
JUSTIN HARTLEY | It was definitely all part of the plan. Towards the latter half of [season two], I was told what was going to happen, and everyone was really nice about it. It never felt like a true departure from the show because I knew I'd be back [for season three] and then be in this position again now, but it was very different to being on set every week, you know? And now there's all these new dynamics to play around with, and so much story to explore for Oliver. I think it was a good on move on the writers' part. But I guess if I didn't say that, they might write me off the show again [laughs].
VSGUIDE | Oliver seems to have established this team outside of Watchtower, and has a pretty close knit family with Dinah (Alaina Huffman) and Mia (Elise Gatien). I guess one of the bigger questions coming into the fourth season is how much of that dynamic is going to remain, especially when we probably aren't going to see them every week?
JUSTIN HARTLEY | I think they are a team, and they are separate from Chloe and Bruce and everyone else. But Oliver hasn't exactly come to Gotham with the intent of sticking around forever. You know, in these first few episodes back, he's very much got his own intentions and his own drive that makes him quite an outcast looking in. Clearly something has to latch onto him and keep him rooted in Gotham, but right now he's very much treating this like a business trip. He's very much still engaged to Dinah, and invested in their relationship, and Mia is like a little sister to him who he cares for very deeply. So, you know, you're going to see as much of it as you can, and it's not going to be ignored. I don't think the writers would establish that bond between all these characters and then disregard it going forward.
VSGUIDE | Speaking of Oliver and Dinah's engagement, what can you tell us about their relationship? Because Dinah seemed pretty worried that Oliver wouldn't return to her if he reunited with Chloe - the person siphoning money from his account. Is there going to be a love triangle involved here? What relationship is going to be focused on the most going forward?
JUSTIN HARTLEY | Right now, Chloe is Oliver's past. It's a past he's unfamiliar with and doesn't know about in any way, shape or form. You know, you mentioned family before, and Dinah and Mia are his current family, but he has one out there that he's not even aware of and that's with Chloe and Hope. So, he's in a weird situation right now. In terms of Oliver and Dinah, I think they're being treated as his future. Right now, she is the woman he wants to marry. They have a very complicated relationship, and I hope the show delves more into it, but he also has a really confusing and really complex dynamic with Chloe as well now. So I think you'll see both of them take a lot of focus and both be important relationships in Oliver's life that will be addressed and explored. Whether or not Oliver ends up marrying Dinah, or getting back with Chloe... there's a lot more to it than just getting the girl, you know? I think there's a lot of drama coming this season on all counts, and it's going to get crazy. Oliver isn't excluded from any of that, so stay tuned.
VSGUIDE | Turning it around on Chloe and Oliver, when will we see that reunion take shape and what can you tell us about it?
JUSTIN HARTLEY | All I can tell you is that the two will reunite in [episode two] and things obviously progress from there [laughs].
VSGUIDE | Lastly, I have to ask if there's a chance that those memories he lost might come back?
JUSTIN HARTLEY | I think it's unlikely at the moment that it'll happen. I mean, it will definitely be raised and answered on the show. But I think the writers have found a really interesting dynamic and position for Oliver this season because of his memory loss. I think steering into that and seeing where that goes is more exciting than seeing him get those memories back. But, you know, the season is just starting out, so you never really know what might happened ten or twelve episodes down the line.
Justin Hartley is joining Gil Bellows on the main cast this season, and more news on who will be back for Season 4 is set to be announced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details on the coming season. Episodes 2 and 3 have officially been given titles, so don't forget to check out the main page for more spoilers. And let us know in the comments what your thoughts are on the return of Oliver Queen! Do you think he should stay with Dinah or get back together with Chloe? Do you want to see his memories return? How do you think he will react to Hope?
Sound off below!

Definitely excited to see Oliver back! One of the main things I was interested in was how much, or if any, Dinah and Mia were going to be attached to his story once he returned to the main cast, and how they would contrast with Chloe and whether or no he can rekindle those feelings for her. It's all so interesting! I'm also excited to see how his story expands beyond attempting to find out who is siphoning money from him, and to see if anything else in Gotham makes him stick around. Also, I think it's obvious that most, if not all, would love for Oliver to get back together with Chloe. I'm not entirely certain if that will happen, but purely from a story standpoint I think that payoff would be really enjoyable. I can't really get behind the Oliver/Dinah ship, purely because we haven't seen them go from point A to B, etc. With that being said, if they do end up together (or if Oliver finds his way back to his ONE TRUE LOVE <3), I'm interested to see how that is addressed on the show

I haven't broken any story for episodes other than the premiere right now, so I didn't want to make any promises that I couldn't follow through on but I assume Dinah and Mia will have a handful of appearances. They are Oliver's family at the moment, and that's part of the interesting dynamic for him is that he's going to discover he's got this family in Gotham. So there is a lot of contrast, and a lot of conflict coming up for him that I'm excited to write In terms of Oliver and Dinah, I think them getting together was explained but like you said, there's no "A to B to C" sort of onscreen development for them. We did see them grow a lot closer in the second season, but that was advancing their friendship. I think it's important to really explore both relationships and honour both as opposed to one being a roadblock to the other, you know? So I'm excited to see what differences and what contrasts are between these two relationships, and I love the fact you called Chloe his one true love huehuehe. Hope this storyline doesn't disappoint

I'm probably in the minority, but in all honesty, I'm shipping 'DOllie', and I kind of squeed when reading both the reveal that Dinah and Ollie have not only hooked up but gotten engaged, but also their dialogue in the finale of S3. I know that their relationship does go through a lot of heartache in the comics, so I makes me curious where you, Mr. Malone, will go with them yourself

I know that their relationship does go through a lot of heartache in the comics, so I makes me curious where you, Mr. Malone, will go with them yourself As I said, I'm making it a mission to honour both dynamics in regards to Oliver. They will both have a pretty big presence this season. I'm very anti-love triangles, so the way I've been looking at it so far is that there are these two different lives - his past and his future - and he'll be in this sort of tug-of-war with them because the past could have been his future, and the future might not exist if he goes back to his past. Throw in the fact that he doesn't remember Chloe, or Hope, and it becomes a really nice, complex dynamic throughout the season as opposed to a man having feelings for two different women and having to choose like any teen drama in the history of ever, haha. I'm hoping to avoid all of that, to be honest. It's nice to see that there are Chlollie and Dollie shippers though. I promise to try and respect both relationships on 'Watchtower.'

Just In: Kristin Kreuk Joins Main Cast for 'Watchtower' Season 4 as Smallville Veteran, Lana Lang! The new cast for 'Watchtower' Season 4 is slowly beginning to shape, and this latest addition is sure to turn some heads. VSGuide can confirm that Smallville's very own Lana Lang will be back as Kristin Kreuk has finalised a deal to return to the show in full time capacity. The character was last seen in Season 3 where she was revealed to be an A.R.G.U.S agent, fighting for the greater good. Now, series creator Jack Malone tells VSGuide that the fans should expect a lot coming up for the Smallville veteran in Season 4.
VSGUIDE | There were rumours about Lana Lang joining the main cast for a fourth season fumbling around the web last season, but now it's officially announced. What was the main motivation behind bringing a pretty major Smallville vet on the show in a much larger capacity?
JACK MALONE | When it comes to choosing storylines and choosing characters for a season, it all comes down to what kind of story you're telling, and what characters are going to be best to tell that story. Our theme for this season is one that the character of Lana Lang compliments beautifully. There's also a dynamic between her and Chloe that compliments it just as much. While she does come from Smallville, and there is a certain level of nostalgia that sits with having her on the show, it's more about this new story, and the ways in which she can enhance it just by being there in a much larger capacity.
VSGUIDE | So what can you tell us about Lana since we last saw her in Season 3. Does she still have the suit? Is she still looking to remove it? Is she still with A.R.G.U.S?
JACK MALONE | She still has the suit. The suit, and her role at A.R.G.U.S, are kind of what re-introduces her to the show this season. And they'll continue to play a big role. In the first half of this season, there will be this desire to extract the suit and there's going to be an interesting dynamic that forms between her and another character on the show that relates to that storyline. In terms of A.R.G.U.S, she is still very much associated with the organisation, and it'll be re-introduced alongside her return to 'Watchtower' in [episode two].
VSGUIDE | Will there be some sort of specific event that keeps Lana in Gotham in a similar way that we are to expect something to happen to Oliver, or will she thread in and out of the story whenever A.R.G.U.S is involved?
JACK MALONE | That's a good question. The plan isn't to have any characters on the main cast to thread in and out of the season. We really want to have a group of characters who can be involved in as many stories throughout the season as possible, and so the idea is to give Lana some purpose and some reason to stay in Gotham City. So, I can say that she'll be staying with a character that will offer a lot of great moments throughout the season and play into one of our two most obvious themes for Season 4. And she'll also have a job outside of A.R.G.U.S that I'm very excited about. It's almost getting back in touch with her Isis Foundation roots a little. So there's a lot going on for her.
VSGUIDE | In terms of Lana's love life, she has always sort of been unlucky in that department. Her most recent "love interest" ended up being a double agent, and in an alternate timeline, her marriage with Pete Ross ended in his death. Can we expect a new development on that front? Will we see her reunited with Lex or Clark for any much-loved nostalgia? We know she has an established connection to Pete Ross in the present, but will that develop into anything? What can you tell us?
JACK MALONE | There isn't much of a romantic sub-plot planned for Lana yet. I think we're more focused on a certain platonic relationship of hers and seeing that grow and develop as opposed to tackling another romantic storyline for her. But you never know. It's always possible. We'd love to see Lex and Lana cross paths again, and there is a High School reunion episode planned for this season so Lana and Clark are bound to run into each other. We'll have to wait and see. But right now, there's no romance in Lana's immediate future.
VSGUIDE | Lastly, purely a superficial question, but can we expect her to be rocking some red hair when she comes back?
JACK MALONE | [laughs] No. I think - on a more serious note - Lana doesn't quite have that desire to run away and change her life completely. She's still looking for some normalcy, and she's still looking to get back in touch with the Lana she's been for most of her life and not so much this super-powered superhero, but she will find that pretty early on in the season. But hey, if she ever needs a dual identity, let's red-wig suit her up, yeah? [laughs]
Kristin Kreuk will make her first appearance in the second episode of Watchtower Season 4, titled 'Feud.' Stay tuned for more news on the official cast in the coming weeks, and don't forget to tell us your thoughts on the breaking news in the comments below!

The credits are definitely on their way. Season 4 is going to have a lot of characters thread in and out who have played a role in the past four seasons. I think you'll be surprised at how many familiar faces you'll see. In terms of the main cast from Season 3 and who will be back for Season 4, I've purposefully not mentioned anyone other than Maxwell Lord, Oliver Queen, and Lana Lang. More to come soon on the others

I'm very excited when it comes to the inclusion of Maxwell Lord. Nothing against Gill Bellows, but the overall portrayal of him in "Smallville" disappointed me. Not Gill's performance but more the fact that he felt like just another 'freak of the week'. Being such a fan of the comics, I know just how rich his history is with the League on general and several big names in particular, so I am very excited that you, Mr. Malone, will certainly be redeeming him in my eyes, given his 'main cast' status. While I know you don't feel compelled to follow comic book history to an exacting standard, I hope we get some more of the charm and wit the comic Maxwell was known for worked into Gill's performance. Especially with him making an apparent grab for power in Checkmate. Final thought: So, this season has Maxwell Lord, Wonder Woman will be recurring, and the mystery of Superman's absence will be revealed/explained. Those 3 things alone are making my imagination go WILD..! ?
