The latest from VSGuide:
Is it true that someone on Watchtower is going to die in the first seven episodes of season two?
Yes. However, I'm told there's a bit of a twist to the upcoming death on Watchtower. Here's your first clue: They're a series regular, and their first name is ******.
I'm so glad that Eliza Dushku joined the cast as Selina Kyle this season, but I hope that means we get to see Catwoman. It would sort of suck if we didn't.
Eliza Dushku playing a fiesty reporter with a dark past isn't good enough? Obviously not, because the producers of the VPN's hit show 'Watchtower' told VSGuide earlier today that you'll definately see Catwoman this season. "There are a lot of versions of the character and her persona, so we've taken what is out there and made our own version of her origin," they explain, "but its important Selina, as a character, is developed prior to introducing this other side of her." The producers conclude in telling us that Selina's origins unwravel in the first run of episodes, before you'll see her don the catsuit. "It'll be worth the wait."

Exclusive: Cat Got Your Heart? 'Watchtower' may not follow the comics when it comes to Chloe and Oliver, but there's a new couple on the horizon, straight from the pages of the mythology: Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle. Although the producers have exclusively announced the comics don't influence the direction of these characters, Bruce and Selina find an instant attraction to one another that starts early on in the season. "I share a lot of my scenes with Christian [Bale]." Actress Eliza Dushku, who is new to the show, is introduced in the premiere ("Identity") as DC Comics 'Selina Kyle.' Sharing her thoughts on the growing relationship between her character and Bruce Wayne, Dushku is excited to be getting such interesting material. "Selina gets a lot of development the first run of episodes, and you'll be seeing a bit of her past, a bit of who she is now, and a bit of where she's heading. Intertwined through all of this is her relationship with Bruce which starts in the premiere." Co-Star, Christian Bale, who has been bumped up to 22 episodes this season, is glad that Bruce has moved on from Chloe. "He was only setting himself up for disappointment with his infatuation with Chloe. I'm happy that he's moved on, and able to accept he can be nothing more than a friend to Chloe." Continuing, the actor tells us the new season of Watchtower is a lot bigger than the last. "Despite the change in episode order, the characters have a lot more bulk to their stories. They're incorporated in the main story, and all have something to do in every episode they're a part of." With the Dark Knight being introduced at the start of the season, and with new knowledge of Selina stepping into her role of Catwoman, is it safe to assume the attraction seeps through to their other personas? "In the comics, there definately is that attraction there," producers tell VSGuide, "on Watchtower we'll explore the difference in both sides. I think the fans will enjoy how it all plays out between these two characters." Are you excited to see this new couple on Watchtower? Sound off below!

Excited to see this new couple on Watchtower? Very.
Selina Kyle has always been interesting for me. Since the original Batman series in the 60's. I know, I watch way to much old t.v for my own good but you gotta love the classics. I'm looking forward to seeing how this character will be portrayed in your show. Since I find that you're outstanding when it comes to character development, I can already see that Selina's story will have a huge impact on me and this season as a whole.
Her upcoming relationship with Bruce, in my opinion, is even more exciting because we finally get to explore another side of Bruce, more closely than we did last season. Before the show began its first season and after hearing that Bruce Wayne would star alongside Chloe Sullivan, I was hoping to see a good love triangle involving those two, and Ollie. Bruce and Chloe's interactions were very interesting to read and it's GREAT that Bruce expressed his growing feelings for Chloe cause frankly...who doesn't have them? Am I right?? Okay, moving on...Knowing that "that" relationship was destined for failure, due to Chloe & Oliver's insane love, I got over it and have been waiting patiently for the bat to get his cat.
(The day is finally here!!)
Well, not really seeing as the season hasn't begun yet but... you know what I mean.

Oooh, I have a rather different opinion to Chris :P I don't really like the idea of Bruce and Selina as a couple, never have. I don't why exactly but it just irks me XD On the other hand, I have always been a bit of a Chloe/Bruce shipper so that could be part of the reason I don't like it on Watchtower. I just always pictured Bruce as a bachelor, and if he were to get involved with someone it would be someone who was necessarily a vigilante/superhero.
Just my two cents :P

I was VERY interested in Chloe/Bruce. Still am, but in the same way that Clark settles for Lois because he can't have Lana (Just my opinion), I settle for Chlollie because I can't have Chloe/Bruce. (Even though I'm completely in love w/Chlollie, so I guess this example is not particularly valid! lmao)
But, we'll just have to wait and see how their relationship develops. Whether it will be a long term relationship or a one season stint... either way, I'm looking forward to it xD

Well, Selina Kyle as a character is sort of a mystery that gets peeled back in the first 7 episodes, and you learn more and more about her. But the chemistry between Bruce and Selina sort of kick off in the premiere. I can't say what exactly their relationship is like, but it has been extremely fun to write thus far. Bruce's storyline in Season One was a favourite of mine to pen. Just how Chloe sort of saved him from the brink of his own self-inflicted destruction, and how that made him realise his attraction to her, and then it became this whole big Bruce/Chloe/Oliver thing. I just loved writing it. About who ends up with who, nothing is set in stone. But there's a huge Chloe/Oliver story this season that I wanted to tell, but separate to that, for the Choe/Bruce fans (in which I am both), there's the Chloe/Bruce interactions + the Chloe/Dark Knight interactions. Bruce distinguishes the two identities, so it really is like two different people.

I wonder if you'll like them on WT, or warm up to them over time, but I'm glad there's a different opinion. I can't say I haven't thought about Chloe/Bruce, especially after everything that happened in season one, but again, there's a really amazing Chloe/Oliver story told this season, and I will definately be working on Chloe and Bruce's friendship. Here's an interesting fact: Chloe has shared most of her scenes with Bruce so far this season. With Selina and Bruce. The only knowledge of their relationship comes from the Catwoman/Batman stuff on the animated series. Things get moving pretty quickly between them, and I'm really excited now to see your take on them once it starts airing and you see their interactions ... very excited! :)

I think fans of both relationships will be very happy. The great thing about Chloe and Bruce is that they have an amazing friendship and connection that has grown stronger since before because that's all they are right now: friends. But the question is, does Bruce still have feelings for her despite his 'get-to-gether' with Selina. I think you'll see some of those feelings come out through the Dark Knight, especially in his debut episode: "Knight." So like I said, there's a lot to look forward too for both parties.

Unfortunately we'll have to wait until April 4th. This week I'll be editing "Knight" and "Lockdown" to get them all up to shape and ready to air, then the following week I'll be penning "Arkham." Schedule wise, I wanted to push it back an extra week because another show (The Path Not Taken) is returning in April, and its better to air two shows than just one being the 'exclusively airing' one on the network. So Watchtower/The Path return the same week.

NEW SCHEDULE After airing an early release of the season premiere, "Identity," Watchtower will be returning to air brand new episodes starting May 16th. During April, the VPN will be airing new episodes of the Path Not Taken, keeping the network busy, while production continues on Watchtower for its remaining three episodes that are yet to be filmed ("Arkham," "Speedy," and "Recruit"). What to expect this season? THE DARK KNIGHT RISES | As Chloe (Allison Mack) struggles with her identity, Bruce (Christian Bale) will be taking up another persona of his own as he steps into the shoes of the Dark Knight - vowing to protect the streets of Gotham. Christian Bale has been promoted for a full season spot this year on Watchtower, appearing in all 22 episodes. "His role as the Dark Knight plays a huge part on the show this year, I think the fans will enjoy what we have in store!" A SPEEDY RETURN | Mia Dearden (Elise Gatien) returns as her DC Comics persona "Speedy," holding information on what's threatening the hero community, and insight on who their primary target is. "She comes back a lot smarter, stronger, and happier than when we saw her last season," Elise Gatien tells VSGuide. Producers promise a few twists and turns with her character when she returns. "Mia has her reasons for leaving, some of which are already known, and some that will shock a lot of fans. Its a great episode." AS FATE WOULD HAVE IT | Struggling with his own problems, Perry White (Michael McKean) will find himself torn between two worlds - his normal life at the paper, and his future with the Fate helmet. "We'll really explore his true purpose this season, and you'll get to see what fate really has in store for him," the producers tease. Actor, Michael McKean tells VSGuide: "You will find out what the helmet wants him for, and whether or not he's the chosen one. Its a fun storyline." LOVE ME, OR LEAVE ME | The relationship between Chloe (Allison Mack) and Oliver (Justin Hartley) has a huge role in the season, with a lot of focus on their love for each other, and their fears of whether or not they're meant to end up together. "The engagement ring will be addressed in the first string of episodes, but there are some obstacles they have to overcome before they can be sure they're right for each other." Producers tell us there'll be a huge twist in the middle of the season that will leave fans shocked. "Its not involving death, or a break-up. Its something that elevates their relationship into a whole different level." Tune in April 4th for the season premiere "Identity" before all new episodes of Watchtower continue on May 16th, following the series finale of Smallville on 13th May. Don't miss out!

JUST IN: VINNIE JONES BOOKS ROLE ON "WATCHTOWER"
Producers have recently confirmed that Vinne Jones will be playing the main antagonist in "Knight" - his character: Robert "Rhino" Thomas.
[Vinnie] Jones' character is a well-built, thick-headed crime lord who comes across the Dark Knight in his attempts to plan a big scheme with Carmen Falcone (Head of Gotham's biggest Crime Family). Although there is a "Rhino" in DC Comics, who is a bodyguard for the Ventriloquist, "Robert Thomas" is created soley for the show.
"There have been some changes to the episode in which debuts Bruce Wayne's first stint as the Dark Knight on the show," producers told VSGuide, "and we're much happier with the finished product." The producers tell us that Jones' character has a past with Bruce's family. "Bruce's storyline kicks off in the premiere, and we dig deeper into his past. When it came round to bringing Batman out of the shadows, we needed someone that reminded the audience why he became this vigilante," Executive Producer Chris Davis explaiend, "this character we created does just that."
"There's a great scene in the premiere where Bruce remembers exactly what happened on the night of his parent's murder, so his past still lingers with him this season. But instead of using it for his thirst to kill in the name of vengeance, he becomes this hero, to use it for justice."
See, the long wait for Bruce to become Batman during the first season pays off. Looks like Chloe's lesson got to him, right? Tune in May 16th for the Dark Knight's debut in "Knight." Don't forget to check out the season premiere April 4th, at 9/8c.
