How epic will it be? With what Stephan is gonna be like, it's gonna be EPIC!!!!
My biggest worry is what the writers will do with the Elena/Damon relationship. Damon is a monster. And an unstable one at that. He murders, he murdered (Or tried to at least) Jeremy right in front of Elena, in a sense he is a rapist and when he doesn't get his own way, he often goes out of control. This relationship could be quite interesting and completely insane if written right, but I fear they will write it as a grand love story and not a unheathly, borderline abusive struggle for power kind of love story.
Now I want to write a relationship like that.

Its getting ridiculous at how expendable these bloody characters are. They just killed Jenna off. I seriously want to put a huge middle finger up at these writers. But, got to give them credit for making bold moves. I just wish all those bold moves didn't always involve someone dying, or becoming a supernatural creature... I really liked Jenna. I can't believe they killed her off.

You're one of the few that did. Most people (Including me) hated her, being as she was practically useless and had nothing to do until her death.
If you think this show is ridiculous for killing off characters, I won't recommend Game Of Thrones.

So I just finished season two.
The finale was a bit underwhelming. It felt like the whole major storyline had been concluded, and this episode was all about throwing in a bunch of cliffhangers to tide us all over until season three. I guess it makes sense, but I mean, this episode could have easily been the season premiere.
It was sad to see Damon got through that. And I really liked his last scene with Elena where he confeses his feelings to her, and I love how he says she would have loved him back then, and she tells him that she likes who he is now. Damon has come a long way since the start of the series, and although it would be foolish of me to think that Damon will learn from this experience and stop murdering others, and turn his life around, its obvious that this show will last a while and to do that, they'll keep Damon going one step forward, and then three steps back.
Other than that main plot, it was interesting to see Stefan's sudden change, and it'll be fun to see that being explored next season. Also, the Bonnie and Jeremy relationship is so amazing. I'm so glad that the writers haven't, you know, f*cked things up between them yet. I loved Bonnie screaming out "I love him" and the whole resurretion thing was awesome. The cliffhanger was, again, underwhelming. I mean, *gasp* ghosts? From vampires and werewolves, I think ghosts are the least of there troubles. But, I guess its something to look forward to.
I'm not sure how much I'm going to enjoy next season. I've complained about quite a few things this season (Lockwoods, Werewolves, Tyler, etc), and I have an uncontrollable hate towards both Elijah and Klaus - and not the 'oh, they're evil, and they're trying to kill my favourite characters. God I hate them' kind of way, but the 'god, get this boring dumbass off my screen, I can't stand them.' Elijah was annoying at first because of how many times he died and then came back, and then he was brought back again, only to help Elena, and then he ended up helping Klaus instead, and then he died again, and it was just so irritating. And now, with Klaus, he seriously wasn't that big a threat, and now he's some sort of hybrid werewolf/vampire. Its bad enough I hate the character, but now he's a werewolf as well. The werewolves are TERRIBLE on this show.
I'm venting.
Anyway, the episode was good. It was fun seeing Katherine again, and I loved her involvement in the episode - Damon/Elena and Bonnie/Jeremy were definitely highlights. The whole story with Caroline and her mother was done AGES ago, and was a much better version. The cliffhanger ... well, I love Vicki Donovan, so seeing her more next season will be great, but I'm not too keen on the whole "I can see Dead People" element, nor did I think that was a jaw dropping cliffhanger.
If I was to rate the whole season, I'd probably say an 8/10.
The first handful of episodes were amazing - Katherine was the best antagonist of the season, and she really challenged the brothers' relationship with one another, Elena, her friends and her family. Caroline becoming a vampire was another great aspect of the season, and I really loved how they dealt with how much that transition can affect your life - through her relationship with Matt, Bonnie, her mother, etc. I really enjoyed all the relationships on the show, even if I don't necessarily ship them.
The greatest downfall of the season was the Lockwoods/Werewolf element. I didn't enjoy Tyler's character enough, that early on, to really care about what was going on in his life, and then when he was thrown center stage and got the spotlight, the whole show began to go downhill a bit for me. Eventually, it did pay off, and Tyler is a much better character towards the end of the season when he starts to become friends with Caroline, and grows feelings for her.
The great thing about The Vampire Diaries is that I don't have to necessarily like a character or a storyline, but in the end it tends to pay off. The whole werewolf thing was incredibly boring, but the whole legend of 'one bite kills a vampire' was really interesting, and bringing Rose on board for a couple of episodes was a lot of fun. Now with Klaus being a Hybrid, it opens up the universe a little more, and I think TVD has a lot of life in it. I don't suggest that they try and go for 10 seasons, but if they do, I don't see them running out of ideas. I do trust the writers, and accept the bold moves they make, and the show is my new guilty pleasure. I'm going to be keeping up with season three as it airs.
Oh, and Jenna was totally one of my favourite characters, but they killed her off. If they touch Bonnie or Caroline, or Katherine, or Jeremy, or Damon next season, then I will go apeshit on these writers. I nearly had a heart attack when Jeremy was shot in the finale. Anyway, this was a pretty awesome season. And I am officially a fan of the Vampire Diaries.
Now that I'm caught up, I can't wait for season three ...

You're one of the few that did. Most people (Including me) hated her, being as she was practically useless and had nothing to do until her death. I really liked Jenna. Her relationship with Alaric was interesting, and I loved her scenes with Elena, her friends, and Jeremy. It was really exciting when she found out about vampires, and witches, and all of that. I, personally, felt it was a shame they killed her off. Well, I didn't say the show is ridiculous for doing that. Killing off characters happens in basically every show. But, I think its ridiculous at how expendable they all are. No one is safe on this show. I honestly couldn't say whether or not I think Bonnie, Jeremy, Caroline, Alaric, and all the other characters [that aren't Elena, Stefan or Damon] will survive next season, and that's a little scary. Its also very interesting and keeps the show on its toes. But, with my favourite character on Smallville being Chloe, and having to put up with the rumors of 'she's going to die this season' happening each bloody year, then I'm sure I'll survive TVD. But I seriously don't want to see Bonnie or Caroline get killed off. I couldn't even handle watching Caroline get tortured.

Caroline is the only character I don't wanna see die. The rest can burn for all I care, she is the one I really watch the show for. That and seeing who Damon kills this week.
When it comes to rumors of characters, I typically ignore them. Most TV series won't kill off fan-favourites and will probably continue to have the character around so long they begin to suck and you wish they would die. (Please don't do that to Caroline, please...)
As for this threat of anybody dying, I like it. Except that there is always a character or three that you know will survive till the end. There's a certain few on Lost, two of which were immensely annoying. Here there's Elena, Stephan and Damon. Over on Supernatural, you got Sam and Dean but killing them off permanently would be a stupid idea. When it comes to Game of Thrones, I honestly cannot say who will still be alive at the end, if anyone. And that's one of the shows many many many strengths.
I completely lost track of what I was even talking about. Killing off characters, or at least having the constant threat there is usually a good thing. Unless they kill off all the good characters and leave us with bullshit ones.

I'm not sure what I'd get out of season three. I'm not a huge fan of Klaus, so I'm absolutely shocked as to how he is a series regular, but I'm excited about a few other things next season which hopefully will play out well. Stefans turn down the darkside will be interesting, especially if Damon and Stefan are swapping roles. The show moves so fast though, so it may be over pretty quickly. I wonder where they'll take the whole 'ghosts' thing, with Jeremy's character, and I wonder if it'll be the next big thing (vampires, werewolves...ghosts.)
I desperately hope that Katherine is still a part of the show. I really love her character. I hope Caroline and Tyler don't really get that involved with each other, but I guess it'd be an interesting dynamic to see on screen. And I hope that we get to see more people from Bonnie's family show up, because I think that's something that would add more layers to the witch mythology, and Bonnie's character in general.
I'm pretty certain Damon will be pushing Elena to move on, especially after that kiss, but they'll probably just be working together to bring Stefan back, rather than ... you know ... getting it on.

What type of phobia has Katherine/Elena got?
Answer: Klaustrophobia! xD Get it?

My biggest worry is this is gonna go like Alias did; Two grand first seasons, then downhill from there. Still excited for it though.

I really can't stand Klaus. He's just awful... I really hope Evil Stefan kills him in the 1st episode of season 3, even though I know better.

I hate Klaus. I don't know why many people seem to like him. My favourite character is Bonnie and i hope to see more of the witchcraft mythology. my favourite couple is beremy and i hope they don't break up due to jeremy's exes.

I think the problem with Klaus is he's meant to be the biggest badass to walk the earth, yet he looks boyish and kinda gay. Still, he's driven Stefan to a whole new level of awesome so he gets points there.

^Kaching! You perfectly described my biggest problem with Klaus. To me, he doesn't at all feel like "The Oldest Vampire in the history of time", he acts (and looks, for that matter too) boyish and just strikes me as too modern to be believable as such an old character.
