^Although I liked it a lot as an episode, I think it missed one key ingredient. A certain character. Now, I don't believe a Braintrust is required to figure out who that is. xD

Don't worry. I'm pretty sure Katherine shows up pretty soon. I'm still to watch the premiere, but I've gotten spoiled on two things about the episode that pissed me off. One, being Bonnie's screentime, and the second concerning a certain relationship that really ticks me off that involves a vampire and a stupid ass douchery werewolf whose name rhymes with Piler -- and by piler, I mean pile of shit. Tyler.

^Oh god, yes, Cryler/Taroline (Look? Even the names of their relationship sound retarded...) was featured quite a lot in this episode, so... yeah, I can't lie about that. >.>

That... that... wow. I don't know what to say. It sounds like some torture porn movie, for some reason that is beyond me. But then, so is their so called relationship..

xD Seriously though, Tyler is probably the most depersonalized character I've ever seen. He's just so... plain. Like a freaking cardboard. Heck, even Matt has more energy/spirit/personality and he's the character who has about two minutes per episode.

Saw the premiere last night, and I only have one thing to say: That B*TCH better not hurt my Caroline!

Oh, and I can't get with this Tyler/Caroline thing. They have zero chemistry, no joke.

Alright premiere, nothing really good. Stephan going all serial killer however is damn good. Bad Stephan is awesome. I have nothing much else to say about the episode. Caroline and Tyler were boring as hell, Damon and Alaric had their little "bro" thing going on. Not a grand start.

Stefan was the best part of the episode, for sure

The season premiere was a bit disappointing, just in that, compared to last season's premiere ("The Return"), which is my favourite episode of TVD, this had nothing on it. I mean, if this episode is a set up of what to come, then what are we expecting? The constant search for Stefan. Ghosts seeking Jeremy's help. Caroline and Tyler being so incredibly horny they ignore the fact that as a relationship they won't work, and so they'll just have sex 24/7.
This wasn't the best premiere, but I think the tone of the episode was really good. If I tried to explain, which I don't even think I can do properly, it felt like a bit of a quiet misery. All the characters were suffering, or suffered towards the end, and it just created a dark -- well, I wouldn't say dark, but lets just stick with quiet misery.
Ripper Stefan is going to be a great storyline to see unfold. I hope this season isn't a constant search for him though. If Damon really wants to call him out, he should threaten to kill Elena, and then see if Stefan's playing them or Klaus. That phone call at the end was the best scene of the episode. I'm not a huge fan of Stefan/Elena, as they have dragged it out a lot, but this storyline has renewed some interest in their relationship. I still am kind of rooting for Damon/Elena, but that'll probably never happen.
Bonnie is apparently the new Chloe Sullivan of the show. She appeared in what, 10 seconds of the episode? Either the writers have a huge episode planned for her return, or she'll be killed off this season. Not much to rant about in this episode -- Klaus is a terrible villain. Forwood is a terrible relationship. Jeremy's storyline doesn't seem to be heading in any sort of interesting direction.
Now would be a good time to bring Katherine back, for, uhm... I don't know. The rest of the season? Yes. Please. Now. Thanks.

I'm kinda worried that she might never turn up again. Unless they decide to delve further into the whole Doppleganger stuff, which they better, I don't really see her returning.
As for Forwood (Love that name), I wanna like them but I just can't. I would like an interesting vampire/werewolf relationship but this just isn't it. Tyler is boring as hell, even more so than Matt.

^Oh, she'll be back alright. Everyone loves Katherine... and the writers damn well know it. She's iconic to the show.
