Summary: 2 years ago Jack Stone (Benjamin Mackenzie) saw the death of his lover at the hands of a sadistic killer. Its the year 2006 and Jack is still dealing with the loss of his loved one, he relocates to the city of Crest View to start his new life as an officer there. On his first night on patrol he comes across a bunch of thugs. He fights them but ends up getting beaten up and before the final blow is struck he is saved by a caped vigilante named NiteHawk. Obsessed with finding out who this costumed hero is, Jack goes on a search that leads him to a destiny that is slowly starting to reveal itself.
Benjamin Mackenzie as Jack Stone aka Cop: Jack is still reeling from the loss of the love of his life. Although he has a tough exterior on the outside he is still nice and caring towards people he meets. A lot of Jack's past is shrouded in mystery and only time will tell when he wants those secrets known.
Drew Fuller as Chris Bennet aka Nitehawk: Chris is a boy growing up with plenty of secrets. He has a soft side that he shows to the world around him, but can be a tough guy when you get on his bad side. Having lost his mother to gang violence; Chris has taken it upon himself to clean up the streets of Crest Viewas NiteHawk. But when he meets Jack things change.
Julian McMahon as Roland Masterson: A businessman and the one leading the organized crime in Crestview. Roland has a sharp intelligence and an iron grip on the corrupted police forces in the city. With his plan to become mayor of Crest View coming to fruition and the development of his Renaissance drug, its only a matter of time until out heroes catch up to him. Always plotting and never getting his own hands dirty, Roland will do whatever it takes to get his goals
Michael Vartan as Stephen Magnus: Stephen is the lead reporter at Torch weekly. He has a knack for being right and being really smart. But underneath the surface, Stephen is the eyes and ears behind Nighthawk’s prowling in Crest View. But when Jack comes to town, Stephen seems to take a liking to him. Stephen has secrets that will come to the surface sooner or later.
Amber Tamblyn as Cassidy Morgan: A young girl who moves to Crest View to find her family that had left her alone. Smart, pretty, and a good friend, Cassidy suddenly has to fight on her own for the first time. When she meets Jack and Chris she at first is wary of them but is soon accepts them as a family
D.B. Woodside as Carl Markson: Jake's partner in the police precinct. A tough as nails cop who follows the rules, he hates the costume vigilantes the run the streets and helps to try and take them down much to the dismay of Jake
Ryan Kwanten as Samuel Cullen: A reporter for Torch Weekly. He tries to break the story on the masked vigilantes that plague the city and hopefully tries to shed some light on a dark subject. Cool and collective is the way Sam operates. Although when he meets Jack his world is turned upside down
1.01: Bold Beginnings: After the death of his girlfriend, Jack Stone(Benjamin Mackenzie) transfers to the Crestview police department. While on his first night on patrol, he meets a masked vigilante who wants to take on the organized crime in Crest View. The duo decides to team up to stop a drug deal that is going to happen. Meanwhile young Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn) arrives in Crest View looking into her past
1.02: United: After helping NiteHawk (Drew Fuller) take on the bad guys, Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie) decides he wants in to helping the vigilante keeping the streets clean. Of course they are going to put there alliance to the test when Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn) is kidnapped by Roland’s (Julian McMahon) henchmen and held hostage. Meanwhile Carl Markson (Recurring Star:D.B. Woodside) and Stephen (Michael Vartan) meet each other for the first time.
1.03: Cops and Heroes: Chris (Drew Fuller) has been fighting bad guys and saving the city for a while now. But when the cops of Crest View kidnap Chris and attack Stephen (Michael Vartan), its up to Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie) and Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn) to rescue him before his identity is revealed
1.04: All Hallows Eve: It’s the Halloween episode of Haven and the gang deal with lots of mischief this night of ghosts and ghouls. Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie), Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn), and Chris (Drew Fuller) go to a Halloween party hosted by Roland (Julian McMahon). But the party is crashed when the Illusionist (Guest Star: Cillian Murphy) comes and wrecks the party causing the party goers and the gang to live out there deepest desires while trapped in an illusion
1.05: The Good Ones Fall Hardest: Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie) finally succumbs to the corruption that Crest View produces. He soon starts hurting and betraying his friends in evil vindictive ways. When Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn) notices the subtle changes in Jacks behavior she tries to help him. But when Carl (Recurring Star: DB Woodside) gets in her path she will do anything to help save Jack
1.06: (Mid Season Finale): Reckoning: With things going well for the gang, its time for the shit to hit the fan. All the problems start when Roland (Julian McMahon) buys the Bludhaven Weekly and the Crest View Police precinct causing all the good cops left to lose there jobs. His first order of business is to destroy all that NiteHawk (Drew Fuller) has started. But when the gang goes into a confrontation against Roland, someone won’t come out alive.
1.07: Society: Two months after the explosive Mid Season Finale. The gang tries to come together. Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn) learns the secret of her father and where he is. While Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie) returns to the police force, Stephen (Michael Vartan) looks into the disappearance of several key figures in Crest View, and Chris (Drew Fuller) comes to terms with the fact that he has grown feelings for someone close to him. This is when the gang comes together to for the team: “The Society”.
1.08: Prey: Roland (Julian McMahon) hires the assassin, Katana (Guest Star: Ashley Scott) to take out Chris (Drew Fuller) and his team. Meanwhile Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie) and Carl (Recurring Star: DB Woodside) have a fight over the vigilantes that run the city.
1.09: Vengeance: Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie) decides to help Chris (Drew Fuller) out on his patrol. But things go awry when an innocent ends up getting hurt. Jack decides to seek vengeance and the gang race to stop Jack before he does something he will regret.
1.10: Hero: While Carl (Recurring Star: DB Woodside ) and Stephen (Michael Vartan) have a confrontation about Jack, Jack and the crew deal with a new vigilante that rises up in the city to fight organized crime
1.11: Jack's Tale: Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn) and Chris (Drew Fuller) finally get a glimpse into the past of Jack (Benjamin Mackenzie) and see how and why he came all the way to Crest View. Meanwhile Roland (Julian McMahon) finally gets his doomsday device and plans underway.
1.12: (Season Finale): Doom: It’s finally happened. The season finale has come and that means someone is going to die. But first Roland (Julian McMahon) finally finishes his doomsday device that is going to wipe out Crest View. The gang rush to take out the device and stop Roland before his device is complete. Meanwhile Carl (Recurring Star: Db Woodside) and Stephen (Michael Vartan) have a confrontation, while Cassidy (Amber Tamblyn) discovers something new about herself.
