I've never read the book it's supposedly based on, from what I've heard, but the CGI alone is going to stop me from seeing this movie. It looks ridiculous. You want a scary movie to see, go see Sinister... sure the ending sucks, but I have never been so creeped out in all my life! Although I know it's going to suck I still wanna see Paranormal Activity 4 too. Just because I've stuck with the series this long, why give up now HAHA! PA2 will always been my favorite. For sure.

^ That looks horrific. Brad Pitt... you're better than this. Not much better, but still... Correction: this is better than Brad Pitt. He's the one who came along and ruined it.

Paranormal Activity 4 was so boring. I'm not a fan of the others but my god, It was bad. I actually enjoyed the first three. The fourth one was complete crap. I did, however, enjoy the last five minutes, when stuff actually started happening.

Correction: this is better than Brad Pitt. He's the one who came along and ruined it. I stand corrected. Still, I don't blame him as much as I blame the director.

Dear Paranormal Activity 4, I am thoroughly disappointed. Not that I went into watching you with any expectations but you explained absolutely NOTHING. Who is the ghost child? Who is Robbie? How did Hunter get adopted when Demon Katie stole him when he was a baby? What's up with the expensive fork? Where did the father go when he was dragged throughout the house? You have to be the world's worst movie EVER! Seriously. Did the writers just go into this thinking, let's just throw some scares (which were minimal if any) and kill everyone and people will pay a shitload of money to see it. Well, screw you PA4 and screw the entire franchise. With this total shitfest of a film I am declaring here on theVPN that I am done officially with the PA series. I hope you're happy with yourself PA4.
Yours truly, but not really

It's not the worst movie ever, that's Battleship. Still, it was pretty damn terrible and I agree with all of your points, the movie just didn't make sense.
Another rubbish recent horror film was Silent Hill: Revelation, with had one of the worst scripts acted by mediocre actors, with a ridiculous plot and some of the world's worst dialogue. The only good thing about the film were some of the effects and the scares were more funny than anything.
What is happening to horror these days?!

Right?! I may have jumped the shark when I declared it the worst movie ever. I'm just heartbroken Lol. I had some high hopes for this series Lol. I've seen about six horror movies in the last couple of months and I think the best one out of them was Sinister. The ending sucked but the story itself was very disturbing. Especially the "film footage" found in the house. The worst, besides PA4, was The Possession. So predictable with no scare factor whatsoever. I think this genre needs a kick in the pants.

I think the problem with PA4 is that the first three films, whilst rather silly, had genuinely scary moments and were rather innovative (like the fan-camera in PA3 which terrified me every time it turned) but the whole Skype aspect of PA4 felt contrived. The Kinect dots were used well a couple of times but that was about it.

All I kept thinking throughout the movie was "Are they ever going to check the footage?" Lol. The last half of the movie neither character checked the footage. With all the stuff happening earlier on you'd think they'd want to check it everyday. But nothing.

I was glad we didn't get an asshole dad/husband in this film though, the males weren't quite as bad!

Saw the Carrie Trailer on ET, and thought it was good. On a different rant, Warwick Davis isn't going to be in the WWE Leprechaun reboot which is stupid.

I saw the original trailer for the original Carrie, it seemed pretty much the same, but an up-to-date version wouldn't be so bad

I used to love possession/entity type movies, but that seems to be all there is now and I can't find myself getting into them like I used to. Everything seems like it's a scam now. The advertisements will be scary and interesting, but when you get to the theater it's just another rip-off. That's one of the many reasons I love script writing and hope to be a real director soon. There is so much more that can be explored through horror movies that really isn't. Psychologically, they can go pretty much anywhere.

I saw The Thing (1982) for the first time about a week ago. It was so f-cked up. I loved it!

Have you seen or going to get Curse Of Chucky? From the trailers, it might be going back to it's horror roots without the comedy of Bride and Seed.

I think this looks kinda of interesting. And it's got Shelley Hennig, so that's a plus.
