In a distant part of our galaxy, a human civilization lives on a group of planets known as the Twelve Colonies, to which they have migrated from their ancestral homeworld of Kobol. The Twelve Colonies have warred for decades with a cybernetic race known as the Cylons, whose goal is the extermination of the human race. The Cylons offer peace to the humans, which proves a ruse. With the inadvertent aid of a human genius named Baltar, the Cylons carry out a massive attack on the home planets of the Twelve Colonies and on the Colonial Fleet of starships that protect them. These attacks devastate the Colonial Fleet, lay waste to the Colonies, and destroy their populations. Scattered survivors flee into outer space aboard available spaceships. Of the entire Colonial battle fleet, only the Battlestar Galactica, a gigantic battleship and spacecraft carrier (analogous to an aircraft carrier), appears to have survived the Cylon conflagration. Under the leadership of Commander Adama, the Galactica and the pilots of "Viper" fighters lead a fugitive fleet of survivors in search of the fabled thirteenth colony known as Earth. Battlestar Galactica has got to be one of, if not, THE BEST series ever made. I cannot express how much love I have for the series that I once said "sucked." Yeah, that was before I gave it a fair chance and obviously, I was blown away. If you followed the show, feel free to discuss your favorite plots, characters, and even your least favorites. Any BSG goes here P.S. If you haven't seen this show, you definitely need to give it a try! XD

Favorite Season: Season 4 Favorite Character(s): Tom Zarek, Gaius Baltar, Saul Tigh and Felix Gaeta Least Favorite Character(s): Apollo and Laura Roslin Favorite Episode: 4x13 "The Oath" and 4x14 "Blood On The Scales"
Really love this series. Probably the best Sci-Fi series ever made with some of the best and most complex characters on T.V.
My personal favourite storyline has gotta be either the mutiny in "The Oath" and "Blood On The Scales" or the New Caprica storyline.
On New Caprica, it was Oppression vs Terrorism, two concepts that much of the modern world looks down on, making us question whether or not in desperate situations there can be morals or not.
Still haven't seen Caprica or The Plan but I'm gonna eventually, plus one of these days I'm gonna get the original series, see what it was like back then.

Favorite Season: Season 4 Favorite Character(s): Saul Tigh, William Adama, Felix Gaeta Least Favorite Character(s): Lee Adama, Gaius Baltar
Definitely one of my favorite shows. It's the best Sci-Fi series I've ever seen, and probably ever will see, and I don't have a bad thing to say about it, really -- which for me, is very strange.

I hear a lot of complaints about the ending of the series, or the final scene. I actually like the way it ended. What are your thoughts on that?

I liked the way it ended. People complain about it being "uneventful" but I always thought -- "Did they even watch the show?" The entire four seasons are full of dramatic, traumatizing, jaw dropping, bone chilling SH*T! I think they can tone all of it down a bit for a low key final episode, which I didn't think was "uneventful" at all. (calms down)
Annyywaayys... I think I liked the "Final Five" storyline most. From the beginning of the series, I always knew that Saul Tigh was a Cylon. Don't ask why, but I just knew it. ha ha ha, Ask Chris, he'll confirm it.

I found the finale amazing. It was action packed, emotional, religious while not shoving it down our throats, and just plain great. Some of the logic in the episode is stupid and forced (Getting rid of ALL the technology) it was still a great end to a damn good series.

Dreading? No. I'm, frankly, excited for it. I never saw Caprica so I can't say what the quality of that show was but Battlestar Galactica was quite great. And I loved all those flashbacks to the first Cylon War.

I'm worried about how good/bad the show will be. Of course, I'll watch the pilot but, if it's bad I'm going to be so disappointed. I guess I should be a bit more positive about the whole thing though.

The writers have given me no reason to worry, so for now, I'm staying positive.

I watched part one of the two part "Caprica" pilot the other day. I really don't know what to think about it right now. I'll give it a few more episodes before I express an opinion. But, it had a pretty decent idea.

Soo... I just watched the finale of this fantastic series. Wow, no finale has the right to be that emotional and meaningful. I honestly hate it for playing with my feels in the way it did.
*wipes away tears* But anyway. Such an overall brilliant show. I mean, yeah, I won't be able to look at it for the next two or three weeks for what it's done to me, but it's definitely one of my all-time favorites.
Favorite Season: Season 3 (I imagine my opinion could very well change on a rewatch, but right now it stands out to me as the season with by far the strongest collection of arcs, and the finale being easily the show's strongest not-counting-the-series-finale) Favorite Character(s): Laura Roslin, D'Anna Biers/Number Three, Starbuck Least Favorite Character(s): Felix Gaeta, Galen Tyrol, maybe Tom Zarek (though I find it a little hard to actually hate that guy, considering what a caricature he quickly became. He essentially turned into that cartoon villain who stands in the corner of the room, clenching his teeth and shaking his fist at "the good guys") Favorite Episode: I dunno, The Eye of Jupiter/Rapture maybe? Loved the whole algae planet/Temple of Five business, and not only because of all the Lucy Lawless, I promise...
