We pretty much have the same favorites, just add Agron and Naevia to the list for me. But really, there were so many great characters on that show, it's hard to pick only a few favorites.

Okay, thanks for Amin, I think it's time for another rewatch of this show. Definitely one of my all time favorites. So many great characters who of course end up dying but it's worth it. haha

Yay for Screenwriter Paradise and Audition Crossover!! What an exciting two episodes, when these guys get together it sure makes for a good time. Both of these episodes has some of my favourite moments in the sequence so far, so like I usually do I'll ramble my way through both episodes telling you my thoughts. 1.09: "And Then There Were Threesome" & 1.10: "Sexual Healing"
Shawn has the most interesting arc throughout these two episode, which is great because I've been waiting for more Shawn. At the beginning of 1.09 we find out that Shawn is blacklisted in LA because of his previous antics with Stanley Page's daughter. Not only that but he also finds out he's being replaced on The Johnsons, harsh! When is Shawn going to catch a break, he's had it rough since we first met him and its been going down hill ever since. But I think its a good balance for the show, not only are you following two noobs who are slowly but surly rising you are focusing on someone who's had it but is falling. The same with Emily here as well, which is why that ending was so perfect they are going through similar situations. And even though it may only be a one time thing, I totally ship Shamily? Haha! So glad you enjoyed the crossover! It was a lot of fun for Brady and I to write and I love working with him. Bringing these two sets of characters together again just had to be done and this surely isn't the last time it's gonna happen. I'm hoping for crossovers in every sequence from now, if the opportunity presents itself. In the earlier episodes, Shawn was very much in the background so I wanted to bring him out more and give him more focus in arc two. So I'm glad you appreciated that and was interested in his arc and character. The relationship between him and Emily might not last but it's definitely something the both of them needed at the time. It also introduces a pretty sinister storyline that I'm sure you're aware of from that ending. Shamily, huh? HAHA! That's great. I'll to put them in more scenes in the future. Shawn's not the best influence for anybody right now, especially Alex and Alisha. But they set him on a better path that will surely make for a more relaxed and focused Shawn. I'd like to get more into Shawn's backstory in S2 so hopefully I have time for it. Brady and I came up with a few potential songs for Paula to be singing but we obviously settled on Waterfalls. HAHA! Sorry I couldn't give Emily and Troy a duet for you; just was the right time. But who knows? There may be a karaoke round two in the future. Paula is so good at giving advice, and Brady is so amazing at writing that character, so I'm glad he was there to put that into the episode. Joshua and Paula? That's interesting. I'm sure all of them will get to know each other better in future crossovers Yeah, even I don't know how that happened. haha But it was entertaining as hell. This episode ran a little longer because we thought it was be wise to split the characters into three groups, but I'm glad everything we tried to get in this episode made it in. I thought we were gonna have to cut some of the pep talks but we decided to just let the episode be 20 pages long because they were so important for the characters moving forward. Thanks so much for reading and for your feedback, Jay! It's always such a pleasure to read and I'm glad you enjoyed these crossover episodes. Can't wait to see what you think of the last few episodes

Okay so now that I'm all caught up on Audition, its time to continue Screenwriters Paradise. 1.07: "That Kid From 3rd Rock"So this episode deals with the fallout of Emily losing her job at CBS. I like that Emily is that much of an important character that her losing her job doesn't just effect her, it effects everyone! She was essentially the one in the divers seat moving this story forward and now that she's jobless everyone is stranded and clueless as to what to do next. Even though I do love it when Emily goes off the rails, it always makes for some good scenes, I would like to see her pull it together and focus on her next step. I'm interested to see where she'll go from here. Freya and Troy shared a nice moment in this episode. They really gel together well and could make for a great platonic relationship. There's nothing like a good old TV show to spark a new friendship! I can't believe that Joshua didn't know who JGL was... like seriously?! I laughed when Joshua told JGL-- "don't worry dude. You'll make it one day." Haha! The bar scene between Andrew and Joshua was great and I'm interested in how they use this new found relationship with JGL to their advantage. Hopefully they play it smart this time and not put all their eggs in one basket like they did with Emily. I'm glad you noticed that about Emily's character. She was set up as a sort of guide for Andrew and Joshua; possibly not a very good one, but a guide nonetheless. She's got an interesting journey for the remainder of sequence one and if you want to see Emily back on her feet again, I think you'll enjoy what I've got planned for her in S2. I was hoping a relationship between Freya and Troy would bring out a bit more personality from the both of them, so I'm glad you enjoyed that. They've got a few more nice scenes together that I'm hoping you'll get a kick out of! And yeah, Joshua's completely clueless when it comes to that. I've just been using it as a running gag, as in the pilot he had no idea who Shawn Leonidas was. haha! This new partnership should teach Andrew and Josh some very valuable life lessons, whether it turns out well or not. 1.08: "Fuck CBS"
So it was a big day for Andrew and Joshua and all seemed to have gone well. JGL seemed really into their idea, as did I, so I'm hoping something comes of this. Andrew seems to be a bit cautious however, which he should be considering how their last stroke of luck turned out. It looks like they have got a lot of work to do to make a lasting impression. Fingers crossed. Wendy is creepy as hell. Even when she came off bubbly and just a fan, I knew there was something off about her. But I'm excited to see what's happens next with her and how she intends to plant herself into Shawn's life. That's all he needs, a crazy stalker fan after all the shit he's been through already. Freya's storyline was interesting in this episode. She still not a character that I love yet, but seeing her struggle with the photo shoot and giving to the directors requests made me kind of sad. She, just like anyone else wants to make it in this city but I didn't expect her to lower herself to book a job. I'm intrigued to see where you go with this. I also loved the way she tells Emily that's she's worried about her vagina! Its bringing out a bit more of her personality living with Em. Glad you liked their Limbo idea. I honestly couldn't think of an idea for a show they'd be writing so I just used of the many abandoned projects I have in my head haha! We'll see how all this goes in the last string of episodes. Yeah, Wendy is something else. Just an all around cooky character that will bring nothing but misery to Shawn, but I promise, things will start looking up for him in S2. It's always tough seeing characters struggling like that so I'm glad you felt for her there, even if you're not the biggest fan of hers.

This show always sounded so unique and adventurous! Endless possibilities with going to a different dimension every week! I can't believe we're getting the first three episodes! It's like my own little going away present Besides the adventure aspect between Adam and Lily, I'm really looking forward to the dynamic between Emilia and Det. Robertson. Already sounds interesting! Bring on Reality! It's been a long time coming but it's almost here!

REVIEW: 1.12 "Square Zero"I really loved this finale. The opening scene was so adorable, and those little roommate scenes with Andrew and Joshua are just so great. The fact that they were arguing over Andrew's underwear was adorable and had me rolling haha. It was great to see Andrew in a good state of mind after completing the second episode of Limbo. I love it when he's confident. It's such a great thing to see, and Joshua's every so optimistic self gets matched with Andrew's recurring realism haha. I need Andrew to be more optimistic! I need it in my life! But anyway, the opening scene was great. I love their relationship as always. But then JGL comes in and delivers the bad news that CBS has basically stolen their idea, but unbeknownst them it was because of Troy. That was devastating to read, but Andrew and Joshua's reaction to bettering themselves and looking back on everything they've done in their short time in LA was awesome to read. So glad you enjoyed the finale and that opening scene! I just love Andrew and Joshua having those little moments to themselves where they can just be themselves. It's always so fun to write. Yeah, Andrew deserved a win after all that writers block. Even though it turned out to be pretty short lived. Still, going forward into sequence two, I suspect Andrew will be even more focused and ready to fulfill his dreams. Yeah, Troy's gonna be in some trouble next sequence. I really wanted to put him in this episode and looking back, I totally could have. But alas, I shouldn't dwell on the past. Yeah, Emily's such a hot head; very much a slap now and ask questions later kinda girl. But whether their relationship is unfixable? I don't know. Possibly, after seeing that the full sex tape was going to be released no matter what Shawn decided to do. We shall see in sequence two. Happy Freya is the best Freya and I wanted her to end on a high note this sequence, since I had to put her through so much. Sequence two is all about her getting new opportunities and really coming into her own. Same for Emily. And yeah, you guessed it right. What kind of business? Who knows but me! Yeah, I sort of feel bad for putting Shawn through so much crap this sequence. I feel like it couldn't get much worse for him though. Everything's not gonna go down how you might think though, so there's still hope for Shawn in the beginning of sequence two. Thanks soo much for all the feedback, Brady! It's been a blast reading your thoughts and working on the show with you! Can't wait to get to work on S2!

REVIEW: 2.04 | "Super Heat"Another round of TST and I'm still sweating from that heat! *SOBS* That was my attempt at puns but it failed so I won't do it again, I promise. Onto the episode -- I really enjoyed it! I sound like a broken record, I know, but this season has been really solid so far. Very impressed with the way you've kept the quality standard of the first season and even exceeded it! You can't see me but I'm clapping right now. So, in this episode we get the Knox's first day back at school without their mom, which is so heartbreaking. I really liked the little scene we got at the beginning with Jane fixing them all breakfast, even though they ended up not eating it. She seems a bit overwhelmed in that scene, trying to figure out how to be a good mother figure for the triplets, but I think she'll get a handle on it. I wonder if that's going to be a problem in future episodes. But anyway, a pharmaceutical building goes up and flames our favorite crime fighting teens are on the case. I like that Fred is so into solving these cases and wants to help everyone; not just people in their inner circle or people they care about. There was some conflict between him and the Knox's on that front, as it seems they kinda just want to let the police handle this one. I understand where both of them are coming from which makes it hard to pick sides in that argument. Anyway, we have a student in Holt! I knew he was trouble when he walked in and was being all flirty with Sara. That's my girl, so you know I wasn't having any of that. haha! Turns out he's got some kind of hormonal superpowers that make anybody he touches get all tingly inside, along with the whole fire thing. That's kinda scary, to be honest. I can only imagine what he could be using that power for. *side eyes* But I'd like to see more of what he can do and what his motives are. We saw at the end that he's working for Chosen, so that was interesting and definitely not something I saw coming. Agent Flame! That's a pretty cool name. I wouldn't mid seeing that character again. I loved the few moments we got from Janice and Clark in this episode. I don't know if I remember them having too much one and one time, it's usually all three siblings, but it was a nice change. Clark is like the glue that holds his sisters together. I just love their family dynamic so much! Speaking of the family, over at Chosen, the remaining recruits are being "initiated." That didn't sound good when I heard it and it turned out to be even worse than I imagined. That hallucination Alexander put Debbie through, disturbing as it was, was pretty cool and well written. I wonder if it has any other deeper meaning. I have to pay attention to these things even if they don't end up amounting to anything in the grander scheme of things! I loooved that dialogue between Debbie and Shela! The fact that Debbie saw her in that hallucination that was meant to show people she cared about and would do anything for? My god, I think I'm gonna pass out. I love their relationship and it's only just the start of it really. I can't wait to see where it goes! I don't have too much to say about Det. Ashlock, but I'm really enjoying how she's becoming more involved in everything this season, now that she knows what's going on with the Knox's. Feel a little bad for Eric though. He doesn't know what he's getting himself into. Unless he does, and he's evil. *side eyes* Oh! Fred and Lucy! They kicked ass in this episode turning the sprinklers back on! I loved them trying to find out more info on Holt. Fred even showcased some new computer skills he's been learning from Dr. Uucsio! I can't wait Elise to give them their own fight training montage Anyway, that was a very nice episode! Got some cool stuff with Debbie who continues to be my favorite character, along with Sara. A new super-powered bad guy, which is always excited, and I love the creative twist you put on his powers. My ultimate bae PACO returned for this episode and I was thrilled! No Uucsio's this week, but the episode didn't suffer too much. That's good to know, in case they are absent from any other episodes this season. All in all, THUMBS UP! Can't wait to read the next one!

REVIEW: 2.03 | "Super Friends"This was such a cool episode and sort of wish fulfillment in that since the beginning of the series I've been hoping in the back of my mind that Lucy and Fred would someway, somehow get powers of their own. So thanks for fulfilling that little fantasy of mine, even long before I started reading this series! haha But onto the nitty gritty of the episode, someone's kidnapped Audrey Swankins. The episode scene set up the big mystery of the episode, and it's a mystery that kinda sorta gets solved, but not fully. I'm hoping we get more information on George, who he is and what he really wanted. At one point I thought the person that kidnapped her and the person that gave Lucy and Fred powers were two different people, but it turned out to be the same person. I don't know why that was unclear to me when I read it. Maybe I'm just kinda slow. HAHA! But anyway, I've said all this without saying much at all. So let me try and focus. The scene where triplets are testing out their powers was a fun scene, even though I was worried about Sara with that knife. Honestly, she needs to find a new place to cut herself. Oh my god. I don't care if she'll heal right after. LOL Anyway, it was just a nice, lighthearted scene between the three of them and it was refreshing to see amidst all the drama with Debbie. And we got to see Paco in this episode, which I really appreciated. Even though he was sad and missing him mom. I feel the same way, Paco. Fred and Lucy discovering their powers was fun. And your choice of abilities was quite unique as well. Lucy being able to suspend gravity instead of just the expected telekinesis and Fred being able to create black holes/portals instead of teleportation the usual way. Definitely not what I was expecting and very very cool. I think this was a nice episode for them because it gave them a chance to step in the triplets shoes and understand what they're feeling, while also realizing that they can be important and useful to their friends with or without abilities. That scene at the end with them asking to be trained has got me very excited! Looking forward to seeing where that all goes. There seems to be some issues between the Uucsio's this week. Elise has emotional and physical needs that the good doctor's just not fulfilling. I liked that conflict we saw with Dr. Uuscio having to choose between helping people and being a good husband to his wife. It was nice to see some good drama there and it was very realistic too. Obviously, I like that it was resolved in the end because those two are too good together to be at each others throats. haha! YES! Debbie is back! I missed her in the last episode. Alexander just keeps proving just how maniacal and psychotic he is with what he puts those recruits through. And we find out Shela has abilities!! Another teleporter! I seriously did not see that coming, but I'm so glad because that means she'll be sticking around for a little while longer. Debbie got lucky here, since Alexander thinks she still has powers. I don't know how long she'll be able to keep that up but knowing her, she'll figure something out. I'm still half-hoping she developed a second ability that she doesn't know about yet, but I doubt that'll happen. Overall, a very solid episode. Looking forward to seeing what's up with Janice's vision in the next one! Bring it on

EXCLUSIVE: Freida Pinto & Nick Jonas Upgraded To Series Regulars! Details On Both of Their Sequence Two Story Arcs Revealed! With the early stages of production on SCREENWRITER'S PARADISE Sequence Two already underway, producers have confirmed that recurring guest stars FREIDA PINTO and NICK JONAS, who portray the characters 'Freya Malek' and 'Troy Parker', respectively, have been officially upgraded to series regulars. This news comes as no surprise, as both characters were in ten of the twelve episodes of sequence one, plus the Halloween Special and have been series regular characters from the start, unofficially. However, sequence two will bring even more focus to these individual characters as writers are currently mapping out personal storylines for them both.
When asked for details on where he plans on taking these characters in sequence two, series creator and executive producer, CHRIS DAVIS replied, "The character of Freya will really take the spotlight next sequence in a big way as she starts her journey towards fulfilling her dream of becoming a fashion designer. I can't tell you much about where she'll end up next sequence but we will be adding a few new recurring characters who will solely be involved in her story arc for the sequence."
He went on to say, "As far as Troy is concerned, we're going to get a lot of him reflecting on the decision he made to send Andrew and Joshua's script to his boss at CBS, and the ramifications of that decision will be ever present in his head. Whether or not he'll come clean about his involvement right away or have it linger is up in the air right now, but it'll definitely cause some drama for his relationship with the boys. But aside from that, Troy's own personal dreams of becoming a film/tv director will be explored further. It should be an interesting sequence for him."
That's it for now, but be sure to check back in frequently for more exclusive updates and spoilers for the second sequence of SCREENWRITERS PARADISE! Sound off below!

REVIEW: 1.06 | "Whatever You Do, Don't Screw Up"
Okay, another one down. The sixth installment of the series is another episode I have mixed feelings about. I liked the direction the episode was going in the beginning but it sort of switched gears somewhere in the middle and got away from me. This sort of felt like two episodes written as one, with the drama kids trying to come up with a new script for their play and the whole party situation. It wasn't the typical a-plot and b-plot. More like two separate plots that ended up melding together for some reason. I think I would have liked to see more of a focus on them coming up with ideas for the play, a lot of humor and even drama could have come from that on its own, without the party angle, which I think was interesting but could have been better saved for another episode. For the most part, I did like everyone's interactions at the party. Hayley and Will were fun up until that business at the end. I do think it's realistic for a drunk Hayley to be all jump-y to conclusions, but I was surprised Riley felt the need to question him as well. And I'm hoping Will doesn't feel as though he's done something wrong in the next episode because honestly he didn't. I liked Maureen's role in the episode, however minor it was. I would have liked to see more of her but you take what you can get. Brady already mentioned a lot of this stuff in his review and I don't want to be repetitive so I'll just wrap this up. Overall, decent episode - just a bit shaky and inconsistent in terms of story structure. A lot of fun humor in this episode though, so I did enjoy that. Will be checking back in for the next episode.

The episode so far was pretty well written and nicely formatted. I think the family actually feels like a family, which is good to see so early on. The character that seems to be coming off the page the most for me is Gail. Looking forward to reading the rest. Good luck!

REVIEW: 1.05 | "Avoid Everything"
Alright, I'm back! And I must say, I really enjoyed this episode. Probably the most well put together so far. The pacing was nice and smooth, and your parallel storytelling with Maureen and Carrie was clever. A new character was introduced and everything and I'm looking forward to seeing what Ivy brings to the show. We get more of Hayley and Riley's dynamic, which is something I enjoyed. I'd really like to see them become friends and they seem to form a bond in this episode, so I was happy about that.
I don't know how, but I think this episode benefited a lot from Fiona's absence. I enjoy her character for the most part, but her humor sort of takes me out of the script at times, and the pacing and flow here was so good and organic, I can't help but feel that had something to do with it. A few characters take the back seat here. Like Danny and Will. We do get a short scene with them in this episode that I feel was out of place, and could have been scrapped all together. It just came out of nowhere when they hadn't been present in the script leading up to that moment. But aside from that one scene, the episode read very well. Maureen and Charlie getting together has been jumping up and down. I'm really into their relationship.
This is a pretty short review, but I'm gonna be reading the next episode after this and hopefully will be responding shortly after. Good job on this one, Brian! It's definitely one of my favorites so far.

REVIEW: Halloween Special - "You've Got a Friend in Me"My heart... is still in pieces. I read this days ago and I still think about how emotional and amazing this episode was. The opening with Andrew was really adorable, and his costume was perfect and that entire scene was just... perfect. I love how he's usually the serious one but can be goofy sometimes too. And then we got Joshua staring at him, smiling, dressed as Woody which I automatically thought was going to be a dirty joke but it turned out to be the one of the sweetest, most emotional things I've ever read in a form of fiction. So glad you enjoyed this episode so much. I've been planning this story since before the show even aired and I'm so glad I was able to actually write it. Andrew is such a goofball. I really want to show more of that side of him next sequence. I remember wanting to tell you about the "Andy" thing on Skype a long time ago, but I'm glad I didn't because seeing your reaction was so much better. haha! Yeah, Freya didn't mean anything by it. Sometimes she just kinda blurts things out without thinking. That scene was meant to parallel both of their relationships with Andrew and Joshua, and also set the stage for storylines in sequence two. At this point, they're not really sure where they stand in their relationships, or if they can even call them that. I wish I was able to touch more on Andrew and Freya's backstory in this sequence, but other things kind of got in the way. Something I hope to fix in sequence two As for Joshua and Troy, you'll just have to wait and see. I'm so glad you enjoyed this scene. I was really scared when I was writing, actually. I didn't know if it was too soon to be touching on this or if I should even take it this far at all. But I think their relationship has enough history for it to be okay and valid, because its not rushed for them, even though the readers are just recently getting involved in their story. Of course this isn't their first kiss. HAHA! That was probably way back in elementary school and they've probably kissed loads more. But I think this was definitely the most emotional one, because for a minute there, Andrew wants it too. More like, he wants to want it. And that's a big recurring storyline for him for the rest of the series really. Thanks for the feedback!! So glad people are responding well to the show and Zawson in particular. It's definitely been so fun to write.

1.06: "First Pitch" Oh shit, Indeed. What a way to end arc one of the sequence. The opening of this episode was a little too much for my taste. Even though I thought you wrote the sex scene well, which isn't easy to pull off, I did think there was little moments that took me out of it and me think "um okay?" Other than those couple of moments everything else was well written. I'm still not sure where the relationship between Joshua and Troy is heading, is it just sexual? or are there more feelings involved. Neither one seems to be giving that away as of yet, so I look forward to seeing how their relationship develops throughout the second part of the sequence Sorry this reply is coming to you so very late. And sorry for the explicitness of that scene. I was just testing the waters; seeing how much I could get away with. haha! The sex scenes from now on aren't nearly as detailed. Their relationship grows a bit in the remainder of S1 and will surely be a big plot point for sequence two! It's always interesting seeing how people react differently to certain characters. I've gotten mixed reviews for both Emily and Freya from different people and I'm really glad people are getting different things out of these storylines and characters. Hopefully with more time, Freya will grow on you. I know I'm very excited about her S2 arc. Oh and about the karaoke -- just wait Shawn's storyline comes more to the forefront in arc two, and he'll definitely have a bigger role in sequence two. I'm glad you're interested in him as a characters -- he lets me explore some of the darker aspects of the industry so more drama coming for you very soon. Amber doesn't appear again this sequence, but I definitely have plans to bring her back soon. Yep, Emily getting fired was something I planned for a while. In my original plans, she would have been introduced as a former CBS agent, but I thought it would be more interesting to actually see the road to her being let go and how she reacts to it will be a very big part of her story in arc two. Looking forward to seeing what you think of it all As always, thanks so much for the feedback, Jay!
