When shows focus on other characters than the main character in an episode, that just goes to show that the series is taking bold creative choices and I for one love that this is happening. Cant wait to see what happens Thanks, man. The story just seemed to play out that way. Chloe's a little preoccupied with something that calls for her absence throughout the majority of the episode, which opened up an opportunity to really focus in on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as some other auxiliary characters. I feel better about it knowing that the season finale will be very focused on Chloe, and so will the next and final season. Since you bring that up, what can you tell us about "Destiny"? Any spoilers for that?

Episode #4-21: "Trinity" Written by: Jack Malone Produced by: The VPN UPDATED 3/07/2017 - Producers told VSGuide that the episode will have a significant focus on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. "The episode definitely feels sectioned off into three parts — the first being heavily focused on Batman, the second on Superman, and the final act centering on Wonder Woman," the 'Watchtower' creator revealed, "Whether or not they come together by episode's end is another question and something I'll leave out there for speculation." - Tori Spelling reprises her role as Linda Lake in this episode. It will be her last appearance of the season. - One of the Bat-Family characters introduced this season will receive a suit and a codename in this episode. - Katherine's (Deborah Ann Woll) history at West Point will be explored in this episode. - Producers revealed that this episode will be the first and most likely only episode to feature a minimal amount of Chloe (Allison Mack), despite being the main character of the series. The 'Watchtower' creator told VSGuide, "Chloe has two really powerful scenes at the beginning of the episode, and then is quite absent until the end. The season finale will be a direct contrast and is set to feature her in a much larger capacity." - Stana Katic reprises her role as Talia Al Ghul. - An old set that was used quite frequently in the third season of 'Watchtower' (and made one appearance this season) will resurface, and play a huge role in the final two episodes.

I have a questions: 1. When will Karl show up again?haha 2. Will it be explained why Pete didnt go to Chloe's wedding? 3. How will Ollie cope when he finds out Chloe is still alive? 4. Will the scene with Perry and Chloe come to pass in the episode of Ollie and Dinah's wedding? 5. So Amanda Waller is the big bad for the remainder of the season? Did you plan that from the start? 1) When will Karl show up again? He's definitely around in the last few episodes of the season. I don't want to open all the episodes up to find a specific number for you because I'm super lazy right now. But I definitely know he's in 419 and 420. He could be in 418, but I'm not too sure about that one. But you will get to see The Ranger again, and in a pretty awesome scene that is both action packed and comedic. I really enjoy writing the Lucius/Karl dynamic. 2) Will it be explained why Pete didn't go to Chloe's wedding? I don't think so. You definitely hear a little bit about what Pete's been up to, and you even get to find out where he's heading, but it's a little too trivial to specifically bring up why he wasn't at the wedding. That wasn't even on my mind when I was writing it so I doubt an explanation is found in the episode. But there's some really great stuff for Pete in 'Smallville.' And some nice Pete/Lana stuff, too. 3) How will Oliver cope when he finds out Chloe is still alive? I think you'll be surprised. It's probably not the reaction you'd expect from him. 4) Will the scene with Perry and Chloe come to pass in the episode of Oliver and Dinah's wedding? Yes. It's a really nice scene between them from Season 3. While it is a scene from a previous season, it's not portrayed as a flashback. However, the following episode has some Perry flashbacks that I'm excited about (even though it's not new scenes). 5) So Amanda Waller is the big bad for the remainder of the season? Did you plan that from the start? Amanda Waller isn't the big bad for the remainder of the season. I've definitely set something up for her, but it's not for this season. You'll have to see what happens in the first episode back Awesome. Also, with Wonder Woman showing up, anything you can spoil about that?

Currently writing the final two episodes of the season. Can't believe how quick it's gone. Should have a release date for the next and final run of the season out soon, but it'll definitely be a lot sooner than I was expecting. Any questions about the rest of the season, and I'd be happy to answer. If not, I should be posting some more spoilers soon I don't really like writing fake interviews with actors, but I'll try to do individual character interviews to tease what's coming up with everyone. They all have pretty big arcs in this back half so I'm excited to shed some light on them I have a questions: 1.

If i dont see Speedy reappear,im going to cry.But other than that, fantastic casting choices and cant wait to see what they contribute It'd be nice to bring Speedy back. You'll have to wait and see And thanks! I'm excited about writing these two characters. Vixen is such a total badass, and I'm about to write her first scene now, and Ryan is going to be a lot of fun. I can just picture him flailing around in the war, and accidentally kicking so much ass. Hopefully what they do contribute to their episodes will be enjoyed! Just finished "Calvary" and quite frankly, ive got alot of questions. But they are all being shelved for the fact that Chloe and Jason get a second chance. I knew that Chloe needed a chance to move on, and I'm glad youve pushed them together Although, i am saddened about Hope not having Chloe right now. Also, I cant wait for it to come out that Chloe isnt dead. And considering her track record with faking her death, I cant wait to see this come about. I also love how Lana missed that little reveal.

Exclusive: New Heroes Join The Fight Against Checkmate When Vixen and The Atom Arrive On 'Watchtower' Season 4!
Looks like Wonder Woman isn't the only hero joining the fight against Checkmate in the final few episodes of 'Watchtower' Season 4. VSGuide has learned that actress Meagan Good and actor Ross Buttler will join the reoccurring guest cast for the final three episodes of the season as iconic DC Comic characters Mari McCabe / Vixen and Ryan Choi / The Atom. Series creator Jack Malone was quick to discuss the news, and give fans a greater understanding of what they can expect from the final episodes of the season.
"I began the season with an interest to see as many Birds of Prey members that the show could explore, and hopefully stitch something together in an effort to complete a story that began in [Season 1]," the 'Watchtower' creator revealed, confirming it was the reason Kate Spencer and Zinda Blake joined the show, "I feel very strongly about Vixen being the final piece of that particular puzzle, and I couldn't be more excited about introducing her in [episode twenty]." Mari McCabe, better known as Vixen, is a comic book character that has worked alongside the Birds of Prey and the Justice League, whose power comes from a totem that allows her to channel the strength and skill of the animal kingdom. Malone told VSGuide that when audiences first meet Vixen, she's a hero in Detroit who shares a brief history with Chloe and she's summoned to help join the fight against Checkmate. "The Watchtower database has been expanding and growing and changing throughout the past four seasons, and it's finally used to call all the heroes for support and Vixen is obviously one of them," Malone said of the character's introduction, "We're definitely finding her at her prime and she's going to be a huge asset for our heroes in the coming war."
The second addition to the roster comes with Ross Buttler joining the cast as Ryan Choi, better known as The Atom. In the comics, Ryan is a protegee of Ray Palmer who becomes The Atom when Palmer goes missing. And most of that will translate to the show, with one exception. "Our version of the character is a little more youthful and reckless and he steps into the role of The Atom prematurely to prove himself worthy of the mantle," the 'Watchtower' creator teased, confirming that Ray Palmer is "safe and sound" in this universe. As for why he didn't opt for Ray to surface as The Atom, Malone told VSGuide that there was something more exciting about an amateur hero joining a fight full of professionals. "I think his lack of experience in the field makes for an interesting juxtaposition and helps define the character against the rest of the heroes," Malone acknowledged, noting a comedic purpose behind the character's addition to the show, "Ryan will bring a lot of light into a very dark situation and the last few episodes of this season really need it."
But wait, there's more! Malone went on to reveal that while Ray Palmer "probably" won't show up alongside his protegee, his past with Chloe will be acknowledged. "There was a line in [Season 10] of Smallville where Chloe said she met a billionaire with high tech toys and a wondrous woman that could through Clark for a loop," Malone reminded, "We learn in [episode 20] that Diana is the wondrous woman and Ray Palmer is the billionaire with high tech toys."
Despite the great news, one has to ask: what's with all the heroes coming in to save the day?
"I wanted [Season 4] to celebrate the mission that was started in [Season 1] with Chloe and Oliver, and that grew to include Helena and Bruce, then Vicki and Gordon. Along the way, there's been so many heroes they've come across, and there's something special about bringing them back in these last handful of episodes." And while Malone promised that there are a handful of returning favourites yet to be announced, "The story and the resolution of our season-long conflict will always fall back on our main characters. As great as it will be to see Wonder Woman and Superman and Vixen and all these great heroes to step into the ring, we always fall back on Chloe and those around her."
As for who might be coming back into the fold, let us know some of your favourites! Could Speedy be coming back? What about Nightwing or even the Wonder Twins? Take your best guess below and stay tuned for more announcements! If i dont see Speedy reappear,im going to cry.But other than that, fantastic casting choices and cant wait to see what they contribute

I'm writing 419 'Remnants' and there's a scene where Dinah has to borrow clothes from *spoiler* and doesn't have access to her suit, and it felt like a great opportunity to introduce the "Rebirth" casual design, and despite being the worst at photoshop, I tried to make something to visualise it and here's some eye blood for you: She either borrows this from Helena or from Babs

Jack! in smallville finale in scene with boy we see engagement ring! I know What I was saying about the engagement ring / wedding band is that Chloe's in no kind of a relationship (whether it's with Jason, or rekindling anything with Oliver) to be engaged/married in the present. With Jason, they're still figuring things out and are in the early stages of a relationship, and with Oliver, he's getting ready to marry Dinah and has only just learned about Chloe existing. We will find out who Chloe married at the end of Season 4 when we time-jump to 2018 Im shook from all these damn spoilers

It's hard for me to come up with any choices because — other than the fact it takes me forever to "fancast" for vs — we really don't know what kind of version of the character it will be, when it's set, how old she'll be, what the overall tone of the film will be and how that's mirrored through the main character. I think finding someone relatively unknown is definitely the way to go purely because I think films with established audiences don't need a big star to sell them and I like seeing big franchises give new actors really great opportunities (kind of like how Star Wars goes for new talent). I really hate when it's Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling starring in their 3rd film together -- we need new faces, and new talent and I think 'Batgirl' would be a great way to showcase it. I agree. Emma Stone works for your Barbara, but when it comes to live action, i dont want her. However, i hope Joss Whedon follows your model for Babs. Especially because you wrote her so well. DC comics needs to snatch you up

The lord giveth and he taketh away too 😭😭😭 I promise it's satisfying nonetheless. I feel like Season 3 ended with telling the story of how Perry White wound up at the Daily Planet, but with 'destiny' being a huge focus of the series, it wasn't ever really explained why part of his journey involved Chloe Sullivan and 'Watchtower.' Episode 17, appropriately titled 'Destiny,' finally explains it (and while I've had a lot planned out for these five seasons, it was kind of sheer luck that I found a scene from Season 1 that perfectly does the trick). And then the following episode, titled 'Ceremony,' will include a scene from Perry's final episode of Season 3. *starts crying* Everything feels like it's ending! "Ceremony" is gunna kill me. I really hope Jason and Chloe become endgame at this point. I dont want her pining after Oliver. Also side note, is it wrong, i was hoping that her future husband wasnt Oliver?

BREAKING NEWS So if youve all been living under a rock, Joss Whedon is doing a Batgirl movie for the DCEU. And lets be honest crew, its going to be fantastic. However, the big thing on everyone's lips, isnt the storyline, or when it takes place, but who will play the girl wonder. Most people keep saying Emma Stone, or that one girl who play's Raven on "The 100", or Anna Kendrick, all actresses that I have problems with and would take away from the movie. I honestly sit on the side that a no-name aka someone who doesnt have a giant star, should play her. Now I dont have any names to speak of, but, I feel like people would be more receptive to a fresh face. Now I want to know your opinion. Who do you think should play her?

Exclusive: Perry White (Kind Of) Returns to 'Watchtower!'
It's almost been a full season since fans last saw Perry White (Michael McKean) but VSGuide can confirm that the character makes two exciting appearances in 'Watchtower' Season 4. Now, that's the good news. The bad news is that it won't be any new footage. Producers revealed that footage from Season 1 would be included in the upcoming seventeenth episode of the season, titled 'Destiny,' while footage from Season 3 would be included in the following episode, titled 'Ceremony.'
"Perry has been such a pivotal character on the show, and we're excited to announce that his specific purpose for crossing paths with Chloe Sullivan will finally be revealed in [episode 17]," series creator, Jack Malone told VSGuide, "I think we've told a complete story with the character, and feel very satisfied with where and how it ended, but he will always remain important to the show and to the story, which audiences will come to understand in these two episodes of [Season 4]."
Towards the end of Season 3, Perry's story came to an end with Doctor Fate giving him a choice: to leave Gotham behind in a step towards securing his future as the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Planet — with the unfortunate knowledge that he can never see Chloe Sullivan again — or to die a hero in the fight against Hush to save Chloe Sullivan and Gotham City. Ultimately, he put his faith in Chloe to save Gotham and chose to fulfil his destiny at the Daily Planet. So news that McKean wouldn't be reprising the role shouldn't come as too much as a shock, however the 'Watchtower' creator did reveal an original plan to keep his presence on the remaining two seasons of the show.
"The initial plan for [Season 4] was to have Pauline Kahn fill those shoes for the remaining two seasons of 'Watchtower,' and her romantic attachment to Perry would have kept his presence alive in his absence, but sadly those plans had to change," Malone revealed, telling VSGuide that Kahn would have made a surprise return as the Editor-in-Chief of the Gotham Gazette towards the latter half of Season 4, "She was genuinely one of my favourite characters to write and made [Season 3] so much better, but at the end of the day, I feel satisfied that both their journeys reached a satisfying conclusion, even if Kahn's wasn't necessarily planned to be the end."
The question remains: what scenes from Perry's past will find a place in these two upcoming episodes of Season 4? Let us know your thoughts!
The lord giveth and he taketh away too 😭😭😭

Post by The Doctor on Apr 15, 2017 13:09:45 GMT -6
Let's talk Killer Frost... Now, when "The Flash" was first announced, we were introduced to Dr. Caitlin Snow, who in the comics would eventually become another villainess to take the name 'Killer Frost'. Caitlin was always closed off emotionally, until her supposed-dead fiance was revealed alive, and the 'icy' exterior Caitlin has finally melted and she became a lot warmer and friendlier. She's been through the mill over the last couple of years, loosing both Ronnie again, and then falling for Jay and seemingly loosing him as well, not to mention the emotional wringer her kidnap by Zoom put her through, so it's no surprise at times, she can still that put up that wall again, and become closed off from her feelings in order to function. When we met Earth-2 Caitlin, who had developed powers and embraced the identity of 'Killer Frost', we saw the flip side of the Caitlin we know and love. A Caitlin who lacked real human compassion, living only for creating chaos and mischief, and leaving frozen bodies in her wake. When Cisco told her all this, she promised him she was nothing like that - but everyone has a dark side, something they hide from those around them, and her propensity to shut of her emotions can leave Caitlin more then a little 'cold' at times. So, when our Caitlin finally started developing her own icy powers, it was something she wrestled with, and hid from everyone, afraid they would see her not as Caitlin, but 'Killer Frost'. When this arc first started, I celebrated, because I love Danielle, and really wanted to see where they went with this. Almost all the metas on Earth-1 have gone 'evil' because their situations turned them that way before they gained powers (Girder/Mist/Weather Wizard), or because they were consumed by their own anger and rage (Blackout/Pied Piper). I mean, I could see Caitlin being tempted by her own darkness, especially after meeting her doppleganger, but our Caitlin has a support system Earth-2 Caitlin lacked, and I think that would make the difference between her being pulled towards darkness or embracing the light, and an interesting dilemma for both the character and the actress. Instead, the writers have decided that Caitlin is once again a victim - just like she's suffered in love, now she's going to suffer through her powers. Whereas Cisco has seen he also had a dark doppleganger, but has chosen to use his own for good, Caitlin doesn't seem to get a choice in the matter - her powers aren't just evil, they're making her develop something akin to dissociative identity disorder! She treats her abilities like a disease, and that they are affecting her mentally as well as physically. Instead of having the option of learning control, she has to wear gadgets that surpress them, which will more then likely make things worse in the long run for her, I feel. While I can understand that having her tread the same ground as Cisco might not make for good story-telling, I feel like Caitlin is being victimized - just to live up to her comic book legacy. Now, yes, I know I'm normally a proponent of sticking to comic book lore, and can get annoyed when they don't, for a character like Caitlin, a starring cast member, much beloved by fans, I think a little wiggle room is okay - just because she has cold powers doesn't mean she HAS to be evil - look at Elsa, for crying out loud, or the superheroes Ice, Icemaiden and Iceman! If they can deviate from the comics enough to kill Laurel in "Arrow", I hope it means they're willing to make Caitlin a hero. I enjoyed this Alex. Youve said everything I've said about Caitlin. Now, can i hear your opinion on Barry Allen and his role for S3, because apparently I'm "close-minded and dispicable" for not being understanding to Barry's reasoning for causing "Flashpoint" even though, the show this season has painted him as a villain for doing it

I stupidly read that wrong.haha But yeah, Im totally excited to find out that little boy's father. The 50th episode and "Purpose" were such teases, but why do i have this sinking feeling that again, it isnt her's? I hope it is her's so Jason could be the father.hahahaha I dont want her back with Oliver. Like ever. Im officially over them being a couple. Having her go back to him, wont be good for her in the long run. I know I'm backtracking on my favorite couple of all time, but there is a really good reason and that reason exists in the episode you just released and it honestly stuck in my head that them getting back together is a pipe dream. One that Chloe, will have to move on from, for good if she really wants to have the happiness she wants. Jason and Chloe actually work as a couple and quite frankly I like it more than Chloe and Oliver My god. Im turning this into a rant. Im sorry. Im really excited about the update and I cant wait till we see what happens Well, technically 'Smallville' never said that it was hers (on screen). And so that's part of the reveal -- is he Chloe's? Is Oliver the father? Could Jason be the father? Could it be different parents altogether? It was very satisfying to write. I really like the name I came up for him, and I'm excited about the story potential to keep him around in Season 5 I really enjoy writing all the dynamics that are on the show this season. It's been a lot of fun. I'm very committed to all the dynamics, too (whether they're platonic or romantic). The fun with Chloe and Oliver this season has been to see them function as a family. Their dynamic kind of reminds me of divorced parents that are co-parenting, and that's something that you'll start to see in these next few episodes now that Oliver is in Hope's life. But the interesting part of it all is that Chloe still has these feelings because she never got closure, it was like a bandaid removal in regards to how quickly things dissolved (Chloe died, and Oliver had his memories of her wiped). So seeing him is hard. Seeing him with her daughter is even harder because that's the life they pictured for each other that was taken from her. And being with Jason is part of this process for her to move on and open herself up to the idea of love again (something I wanted to do in Season 3 but couldn't find the right time for it). If you're a fan of that particular relationship, there's definitely a lot more coming up and I just finished writing some really great scenes for them. I'm glad that they have a fan out there because I was worried people wouldn't care about Chloe's love life outside of Oliver, and about this next chapter for her. So I appreciate that! As for Oliver, he's in this strange mindset where he's learned about some great love, someone he considered a "soulmate" and he can't remember it. Oliver has always wanted to be a father, and he's found out that he already is a father. And so that affects him in a really strange way. We see the knee-jerk reaction to it all at the end of this episode with him basically dismissing any type of relationship with Chloe, but again, this is the beginning of a new story and a new dynamic for them that you'll see unfold/develop in the next few episodes. And it's going to be nice to see Oliver as a father. So hopefully there's something for you to enjoy out of Chloe/Oliver this season! Thanks for allowing me to rant too, haha! I've just finished writing 417 and started work on 418. I have 5 episodes left to write oh my god I was salty when you started S3 because I wasnt over Oliver being sent away. To top that off you killed her and I was worried that they wouldnt be able to say goodbye. But luckily, the story for S3 needed him absent a bit and it was nice seeing what the show was like without Oliver and to be honest, it was pretty fantastic. It showed Chloe in a whole new light and it showed a new layer to the dynamic that she had with him. Her honesty or lack thereof with Oliver is exactly what I wanted from her. She naturally wanted him at arms length because she knew it wasnt going to work. That showed how much she grew up without him in her life. She was willing to sacrifice her happiness in order to let Oliver have his life. However, I will say Dinah telling Oliver about his past with Chloe, shouldve been shelved until she saw Chloe and talked about it with her. I get that she was trying to make a point to Oliver to choose, but she knew their history and to me it felt like she was being spiteful. And I'm glad that you are almost done . Keep on trucking pal.
