A bit late but can I say, this is brilliant. I've always loved the Heaven and Hell concept and I had looked forward to your previous version. This one excites me just as much, if not even more. Past Andy Whitfield, I was never completely sold on the others. But Luke Evans sounds perfect for the role. And there's always love for Rhona Mitra.
Good luck with this.

I don't see Damon getting the Cure at all. Honestly, the three main potential targets are Elena, Klaus and Silas.
I don't see Elena ever using it though. Her brother is dead. Most of her friends are vampires. I've just got a feeling that if she is offered the Cure, she'll turn it down. It'd mirror her reaction at the beginning of the season. She didn't want to become a vampire, by the end she doesn't want to go back.
If the Cure is used on Klaus, it'd make him vulnerable for his spin-off, meaning he would be in actual danger during the series. It'd cut the Bloodline connection, so even if he did die in The Originals it wouldn't affect The Vampire Diaries.
As far as we know, using the Cure on Silas is the only way to kill him. It'd allow him to be taken out by the seasons end.
Rebekah is another potential. She has been through a ton of shit throughout her life and has expressed a burning desire to become human. With her going to The Originals though, I just don't see it happening.

"I do have a little good news for Forwood shippers, though. The outcry over Michael Trevino's understated, anti-climactic exit seems to have had an impact on the writers of the show. They've changed their minds! I can reveal that he will be back to share one more pivotal moment with Caroline this season. Your voices have been heard!"
Kill me now. Tyler has been getting worse and worse ever since Klaus made him a Hybrid. I really hope Klaus tears him apart. I just want more Caroline and Stefan scenes really. Not in a relationship, but as best friends. Like Stefan and Lexi.
Right, onto the episode...
Firstly, Bonnie has lost her mind. Jesus Christ, in what world is it a good idea to cause a massacre, collapse Purgatory and bring back all the supernatural creatures, quite a few of which would be looking for revenge against the group. Even Elena who had only just lost her brother is against the idea. Bonnie is insane.
Secondly, Silas. I was not expecting him to take the form of Shane. Makes you wonder how much he told Bonnie is actually true. Him not being able to use magic is obviously not true. And the words "We are the Beginning" makes it sound like a Revolution than just simply releasing all the supernatural from the loneliness of the Other Side.
There was a nice little scene between the real life married couple Paul Wesley and Torrey Devitto as well. For a series about death, they don't talk alot about how that affects people who've seen alot of death.
Now onto Jeremy and Elena. I knew Jeremy would not be resurrected. Watching Elena hold out hope that the ring would bring him back, then hoping Bonnie could bring him back was so upsetting.
Her meltdown was some of the best acting she's ever done on the show. "He's dead. He's dead. Oh my god. I can smell him!" to pouring flammable liquids around the house, to her collapsing crying. She was fantastic. Then that empty stare when she turned off her humanity. Chills...
Elena, Stefan and Damon walking away from the house was very symbolic. She's moving on from her human life and "burning" the past. Stefan being the only one who looked back also worked. That was the house that Elena lived in when she was human, when they fell in love. But that's gone now.

It looks bigger than last year. It looks better than last year. Without spoiling anything, I can say that if it doesn't stray too far from the source material, it'll be the best season yet.

Brady, the thing is, the show has deviated from the books severely. As far as the books are concerned, they are just to get ideas from. Darrin, from what we understand the only thing that can turn a vampire into a human is the Cure which Katherine has. (I just realised she also has Silas's headstone. What is she up to?) Silas has been said to be able to raise the dead, not return the undead to the living. Meaning actual corpses, like Hayley's family and everyone the pastor blew up.

Everyone on this show comes back after they die, even if it is a good death scene. So theres a chance we'll see him again. Matt is a medium right? Jeremy could make occasional appearances through him. Or if the legend is true, Silas might raise him.
Yeah, Tyler should return never. Ever. Let him live a long life in a peaceful place far away from Mystic Falls just so we don't have to see him again. Now only Matt needs to leave. And April as well. And bring Elijah back.

Jesus Christ... This is season finale material, not an episode that isn't even a mid-season finale. They really ramped things up here.
So, Tyler is forced on the run with a pissed off Klaus on his tail, Bonnie is badly wounded, Katherine has the cure, Jeremy is dead, and Silas has awoken. Bloody hell.
I was told a major character would die in the episode. My guess all episode was Tyler. When Bonnie was stabbed, I thought it might be her. It never crossed my mind that Jeremy was the next to die.
Whoever did the look of Silas should get an award or something. You could feel how old he was just from his remains. That skin, that iron mask. And those eyes when he fed... I got chills.
Also, this is the third season in a row that Tyler has left around the mid-point. How many times can you leave a single town? Seriously, was anybody surprised by him leaving again?
I never thought it was Katherine on the island. After the events in Silas's tomb, I don't see any future meetings with her being very pleasant (not that they were in the past). My question is what does she want with the Cure? Nothing we know about her points to her wanting to be human. Does she want to use it on Klaus and finally be free? In any case, it was good to see her again.

MJ, I'm glad to be able to say you've beenGREENLIT!!!
Just be careful though. Don't go too far with the Anti-Twilight and references to how vampires don't sparkle and the like. Do try to give it it's own identity.

Order of completion most of the time. If several episodes come in that have similar subject matter, I may switch some around to keep it varied though.

Oh, its certainly enjoyable. Some really good stuff this season. But, like you said, it's got a long way to go to reclaim its former glory.

Season 8 isn't too bad. Nowhere near the quality of the first few but certainly better than 6 and 7.

Best Picture - Lincoln Best Director - Steven Spielberg (Lincoln) Best Actor - Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln) Best Actress - Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) Best Supporting Actor - Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master) Best Supporting Actress - Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables) Best Original Screenplay - Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained) Best Adapted Screenplay - Tony Kushner (Lincoln) Best Original Song - Suddenly (Hugh Jackman, Les Miserables)
Of those, there's no doubt that Lincoln and Spielberg will win for Lincoln, and Anne Hathaway is all but confirmed for Best Supporting Actress. "Suddenly" was basically Oscar-bait, and its only real competition is "Skyfall".

stevieg, although The Disease is a bit vague, its been GREENLIT.
Passing of the Guard, however, is not. While it sounds interesting, it doesn't seem to fit in the Void, I'm sorry to say.

Best
10. Amazing Spiderman 9. Lawless 8. 21 Jump Street 7. The Dark Knight Rises 6. Argo 5. Avengers 4. Dredd 3. Killing Them Softly 2. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 1. Les Miserables
Worst
Ted Any decent jokes in this are beaten over and over. Horrible. Dictator Started out as a very dark comedy, and turned into absolute shit very quickly. Silent Hill Revelations How do you take the best survival horror series and ruin it with so little effort? I seriously don't understand what the director was doing with this film and how he destroyed it
