1x01 - F My Life "Review" SPOILERS BEWARE: I finally got around to reading the first three episodes for this and I'll drop my reviews starting with episode one! THE GOOD: The story overall was a ton of fun, one of those Spring Break parties that go too far stories. This leading to the predicament our "hero" finds himself in, and as a result, finds his whole life flipped upside down. What I really loved were the real consequences the character deals with. The only problem I had was I thought his call to the Dean's office was a BIG overreaction from Dylan lol, For someone so socially awkward as Dylan is I thought it was extremely ballsy, but thus begins his adventure I guess! Riff is my new hero. Nothing bad better happen to him like ever lol. I love how outspoken and charming he comes off even when reading. I can hardly describe him, it doesn't feel like he fits any particular character type box, and I look forward to the hijinks and situations he'll find himself in. THE BAD:
Dylan on the other hand although I like how awkward he can be, was the weakest part of the episode it feels like he lacks personality. All we know about him from this first episode is he really really cares about them A's haha. But this could all be design because as he says: Maybe we'll find out exactly who he is now that he's a college dropout. RATING: It only feels natural to review this in a Grade system haha, but I'll give it a solid A a 9/10 (please don't get Dylan to drunkenly call my office). I'm looking forward to reading more!

Hey Everyone! I've created my own series that you're all welcome to check out here: beaconhallows.weebly.com/. The first episode is already up, there are character bios you can read through, and a synopsis to bring you up to speed on some of the things that happened prior to the series. I'm planning to add a discord channel, where we can talk about the show, and other things/shows we like. But for now, check out the pilot. It's got monsters, teen drama, manipulative vampire sisters, and a war that's about to begin between Human's and the Supernatural.

Hello all,
I'd like to take a moment and talk about the fate of Winchester. Sadly, I think this version of Winchester is no longer viable. I had depended on partners, who became encumbered with the difficulties of life, which I understand. We molded these worlds together and it felt wrong to move on without them so I waited. Sadly, they weren't able to return, and now I feel I waited to long to continue.
A NEW BEGINNING...
Though this version may be ending, I have not given up on the series and would like to continue it in a new way. A new series. A fresh start.
NEW HAVEN...
I have already begun work on a new series. One created on my own. I plan to release it similr to Netflix. Writting, editing and releasing half the season, in one go, and repeating the same for the second half. I believe this will create a lighter work load.
Early spoilers:
- The series will retun to its college roots. Now set at the fictional, New Haven University.
- The series will continue to revolve around the investigation into the disappearance of Eve Wise's brother, Jackson.
- Some characters will stay similar, some have been dropped, and new versions of others have been written.
- For example, Tracy will now be played by Eliza Taylor. She has been combined with Maya and will become Cheif of the New Haven Star. Though she will be driven, she'll be driven by justice rather than advancement. She'll be compassionate to the pain of others which often lands her in trouble.
- Another change I can share is Lucy. The originals have been displayed as book smart, giddy, and optimistic. Our new Lucy will share the same smarts but be more gothic, jaded, and loud. In order to act as a contrast to best friend, Charlie. Who will be timid and tech savvy. Where one is often too scared to say what they feel, the other has no filter.
These are just a few early changes I can share. I plan to pitch the series once the pilot is ready.

Review "Into The Dark"
This will be my review for "Into The Dark". An episode I overall enjoyed! My biggest issue came from the idea that it seemed to be pretty inspired by The Vampire Diaries. It seems almost like a gender-reversed version of the pilot. Minus the fight between the two brothers at the end which I kept expecting, but was pleasantly surprised when it didn't come. Despite the inspiration for the pilot, I felt as if you had a different story planned for the rest of the season, which definitely drew me in. I was worried at first that the characters would feel too similar to their Vampire Diaries counterparts, but from reading 101, I could feel your dialogue shine through all the characters, which was a good thing.
Now onto the characters. I enjoyed both Pheobe and Clark. I thought they made for good leads. Separately I enjoyed both, Pheobe was hopeful and optimistic, and Clark was tragic and lost. Though when thrown together they're dynamic almost felt "flat". Two characters who were only written to fall for each other - Though I remember thinking exactly the same thing about Stefan and Elana, that grew on me. I hope this will as well. Judging by the end I'm sure you'll take it in a very different direction as well which I'm excited for.
I think my favorite supporting character was Kate Swan. I enjoyed the way you'd written her. I love the way you made her a history buff, it made her seem like she could become important to the story later.. and than that ending crushed me. I hadn't read any spoilers and didn't see it coming, at least for her.
Courteney and Bennett were two other characters I enjoyed. Though I think you may have changed the name Kara for Courteney at some point and forgot to update for it, or perhaps there's a Kara coming to Blackridge.. who knows!
My only real qualm with the dialogue was the way you kept coming back to the Romeo/Juliette stuff. I feel like several characters compare Phoebe and Clark to Romeo and Juliette. It felt kind of heavy-handed by the end. Though this is just the first episode, and you are just trying to set the stage.
A few of the things I'm excited for:
- The Whispers. I wanna know more about them/it. Is it connected to the Evelyn story/is it a seperate one? - The new Adam's Family. What that was a great twist! I'm really excited to see how/if Clark becomes embroiled in that, and how it will effect his relationship with Pheobe. - Vanessa.. I cant wait to see what happens with that?
Pretty much all the twists at the end ensured I'll be back next week/tomorrow! Congratulations on the pick up, excited to see what crazyness you have in the works for us!

REVIEW: 1x01: The Beginning in the End Hey Brian, I just wanted to thank you for your quick review. I was pleasently surprised to see it so quickly. Sorry I couldn't asnwer sooner, been busy with work. Hey Brian, yeah. It's been a long time. I remember back in the hay day, planning our crossovers! I'm glad you loved Maya and Tracy, and I'm really happy to hear you enjoyed Tracy's little "side quest". I love the energy they bring to their scenes often. Maya is very driven, stubborn. She only cares about the story, which is in direct contrast to Tracy who cares more about the people. She's the "Heart" of the group. Though he sort of sat back in this episode, Jake will act as the balance between the two headstrong women when the plot picks up. I hope you continue to enjoy the dynamic between out "Tribuners". Haha, I love your thought process here but don't want to ruin anything. Let's just say we're gonna get a lot more suspects throughout the season. I couldn't agree more, and I hope I don't disappoint. Oh I promise you'll be getting a lot more of Jake moving into the future. he may be the first on the cast list, but as Alex mentioned it's very much an ensemble, and in this episode, he act's as "the eyes into the world" sort of character. Now that we've got to meet everyone, and introduced our "story" we'll be exploring a lot more layers of all the characters including Jake, who is definitely got some issues and demons he'll be battling. Again thanks, Brian, your support means the world. I hope you enjoy the ride that's just started.

CASTING NEWS: THE HALLS OF WBHS CONTINUE TO FILL VSGUIDE has just discovered that the halls of WBHS are continuing to fill up starting with two new characters who will be making their first appearance in the series mid season finale, and return for the duration of the season. Julia Garner (Perks of being a Wallflower, Ozark) and Santiago Segura (Scream) join the series freshman year. Garner will play a student named Darcy Abbott, a hospital volunteer who will help one of our characters through a difficult time in their life, and Segura will play new student Carlos Lopez, he's a fresh face at Winchester Bay High, who is open with his sexuality, a fact not everyone is okay with. he like Jake has a thing for standing up for the voiceless. When asked about the conception of the characters James said "We knew we didn't want to have a show that only focused on the seven or eight kids that appear in the opening credits. High School is full of people, mostly other kids, so of course we wanted those lives to intersect with our main characters, both Darcy and Carlos come in and kind of flip things on their heads, in ways you wouldn't expect." He continued to explain "Both characters will be all about 'hope', the hope of being okay with who you are, and the hope that things have to get better when they're at there darkest."

Hey y'all!
Quick update. Winchester has finished production minus a few edits on episode two! Three has been outlined and four is also in the works.
I'd like to see us start airing episodes, once four is written and five is at least outlined.
Season one will consist of 10 episodes, my goal is to air 5 uninterrupted episodes at a time, and take a 4-6 week hiatus after the first five episode run. I'll keep y'all updated on our progress.

Before Winchester returns, and we get to see a grittier darker series. I thought I should share some of the end game plans I had been setting up through the second season, or at least plans that won't be used in the reboot.
- MAYA definitely killed Shane. Jealous that he picked Lucy over her. This would have been figured out in the mid season finale, and Maya would have went on the run, returning in the finale for a showdown with Lucy.
- The second season was planned to end with an explosion. Killing Jake Everett's mother, Tracy and Eve's friend Anna, and a few other characters who hadn't been introduced yet.
- Blake Garrett would have returned in the third season.
- The person responsible for the beach house fire, would have turned out to be a third child that Tracy's father had. It would have culminated with her father being killed, and Tracy would have shot the half brother, who hadn't been named yet.
- Colton Hayne's character Derek would have been revealed to be gay.
- Finally Pete's fainting spells were going to turn out to be Tachycardia fibrillation, a heart condition that causes irregular heart beats. Forcing the heart to occasionally stop and reset itself. Pete was chosen, because he was the most physically active character, and therefor would have had to drastically change his life style, and question what was important to him.
So those are only some of the planned out story lines, and ones that won't be included in the reboot! Winchester will return hopefully around Mid-August.
