Time for me to review Watchtower's seventh episode, 'Awakened' First up I think this was a pretty solid episode, sticking to the Watchtower episode format that we're getting used to and enjoy. The mid-season premiere definitely started off the second half of the season with a bang. Not only are we wrapping up the cliffhangers from the mid-season finale but we're getting some new questions introduced which I'm sure will make the second half of the season very interesting. I really liked Mia in this episode. I loved that she was left to 'hold the fort' and she seemed to take on the job really well in everyone's absence. She was almost like a mini-watchtower Having John Jones (aka. Martian Manhunter) in this episode was also really great. I'd be happy to have him pop by in future episodes because I love the dynamic between him and the rest of the Watchtower characters. I must say though, the whole Chloe/Emil storyline in this episode really didn't do it for me. I did love how Chloe put up a fight, throwing some punches at the guards was just a very 'Chloe' thing so kudos on having her so in-character, but the way that storyline was wrapped up I just didn't really enjoy. The way Emil gave her the metahuman powers and then was able to simply get rid of them again felt like a little but of a cop out to me. I would have loved to see the powers stay and Chloe having to learn to deal with having powers all over again. Also, for some reason I really didn't like Oliver in this episode. It could just be me but he didn't really sound like the Oliver we know from Smallville. I do know he was dealing with a lot at the start of the episode and therefore wouldn't have been acting totally like himself but even considering that I felt he was quite OOC in this episode. Just something to think about. Overall I think I'm going to give this episode 7.5/10. I wasn't my favourite episode but all up was a pretty solid instalment. A few of the story lines in this episode I didn't really like but I felt it was saved by a couple of characters who really stepped up and seemed to shine in this episode. Looking forward to where Watchtower goes with the second half of the season, it sounds like there's going to be a lot of interesting things happening in future episodes

Time for me to review Watchtower's seventh episode, 'Awakened' Thannnkkk yoooou! Thanks! And yes, the next couple of episodes really delve into what's been set up in "Awakened", but as the season moves towards its finale, all the stories will sort of be elevated back to take us into the finale (with Chris' Trinity) Having not used her AS effectively as I wanted to in the first half, I really felt it was essential that I have her time used well, and I'm glad you liked her this episode. It was good for her character, as she always felt left out, and like she didn't fit in, when in the end, she was the only one left to carry out the mission -- so it sort of had a double meaning as to why she went all "mini-watchtower" haha. I would LOVE to have him back! Originally, one of Chloe's arcs for the second half of the season was to be struggling with this new power, but then I realised, what made Chloe such an amazing character was that she "didn't" have superhuman abilities. It was all brains, and wit, and both inner and outer strength. Another thing that got in the way of this story was the season finale -- Chris and I are still working on it, and it really was used to tease what will/might happen in the not so distant future. So, as fun as it would be to keep showing stuff that happens in that future, that episode, I didn't want to constantly spoil more and more scenes as she struggled with her powers. I knew some might see it as a cop out, but trust me, it was all relevatory to Emil's character, and his development. Before this, he's been a good guy, and on Watchtower, we've seen him as the villain, the big bad. He's done a lot of bad stuff to see his world come to pass, and when he realises that he's not helping the world, but ultimately destroying it, he needed to stop. So this second half of the season, you'll see him struggling to do what's right, compared to what he wants, and next episode in fact, he'll do something rather heroic, but with his own meanings behind it. But as we all know, sometimes you can't change the outcome, only the steps leading towards it. That will definately come into play; and Chloe/Emil seeing the future was really important because of that. I hope I explained some of it. It wasn't as much of a "wrap up" (or cop out) as much of another story being kicked off from that one, that's really interesting for Chloe/Emil, by season's end. I've definately gotten back into all the characters in the episode I'm writing now. I can see where you're coming from, hopefully you'll see a change in that. It was definately the situation I was writing in, and it might not have come out as in-character for Oliver as I'd like, but hopefully you'll see that change. Thanks MJ! Loved the review. This was a very big 'character' episode, with everyone from the cast being in it, and I'm glad you liked to see that. Thanks for the numbers, really appreciated. Thanks. We've got Harvey Dent, and Jean Loring next week, with Bruce standing trial. Plus: the creation of a well known DC Comic Villain, and some heavy Emil moments. Thanks for the review!

Finally read the new episode and I have to say that I'm a little lost. First of all Chloe was once again the best part of the episode as far as I'm conerned. She broke my heart a few times in this episode.
I was so glad to see Martian Manhunter back at first but the way you've been writing him was a little disappointing. I mean some of his reactions are just not him. Idon't know how to explain this to you but this character is definitely not the one I love and enjoy on Smallville.
I was also disapponted in the lack of Chloe/Oliver scenes. Oliver being crazy about Chloe's disappearance was nice and him working with MM too but it would have been great to have a reunion scene between Chloe and Oliver and have a real talk about what happened. I mean she has been gone for weeks and they don't even talk about it. He's the love of her life after all.
I was so happy to see Bruce and Helena. Helena broke my heart because you could see how much she cares about Chloe and that the gang is the finally she doesn't have anymore. I thought her reacting badly to Chloe at first was well done and I knew she was gonne come back at some point and have an heartfelt conversation with Chloe. I love their relationship. Bruce was as usual...GREAT! He and Chloe discussing about the kiss and him telling her that he basically changed because of her was nice to read but I don't believe for a second that it's over between them. Chloe should tell Oliver about the kiss because lies are not good in a relationship.
Perry made my day. I just love your version of Perry and his encounter with The Mortician was kinda nice. I mean I love that he was on his own. Now he wants to look for Watchtower with Chloe?LOL I smell TROUBLES!!
Didn't really care about Mia. She has been useless ever since she's on the show.
Have we seen the last of Emil? I don't think so. I'm glad that he finally made the right choice and once he knew what Chloe saw in the future, he choosed to put a stop at it and let her go. He's still a huge ass for what he did to Chloe and the entire town though.

Finally read the new episode and I have to say that I'm a little lost. First of all Chloe was once again the best part of the episode as far as I'm conerned. She broke my heart a few times in this episode. Thanks for the review! Glad Chloe was a favourite for the episode, for not being in the main spotlight for the majority of the episode. I can't say I share the same view on the writing of Martian Manhunter, as I felt I captured most of his characteristics, but I'll look into it if I plan to bring him back on the show. The big relationship moments have taken a back seat for two, three episodes, while focus gets put on other aspects of the story. I knew big "Chlollie" fans might not have liked that decision, but when "Vendetta" comes around, they'll definately be back in the spotlight. At the moment, I want to show the "love triangle" between Chloe, Bruce, and Oliver; whilst getting into the meaty parts of Bruce's, and Emil's stories. I did want to have a reunion scene, but ultimately decided against it, and made Oliver become a part of the final scene in Watchtower, where they're holding hands. Thanks, Maria! Helena is a bit back and forth this second half of the season - and the main thing that stays constant is her friendship with Chloe. In this episode, I wanted to show a bit of the old Helena, and conclude it with the new Helena, whose walls have been broken down and she can express how she feels. Instead of always being the tough chick she acts as. And no way you should believe that its over, haha. The next two episodes really delve into that love triangle, and the "kiss". I will say that Oliver WILL find out, and there'll be a long discussion between Bruce and Oliver at the end of THAT episode about it. And really, you'll see why both characters share the same feelings for Chloe, and its a big moment. I'm having so much fun with Perry this second half. Now that he's on the hunt for Watchtower - in terms of a hunt for the story - the dynamic between Chloe/Perry has gotten extremely fun to write. Perry is one of the characters this second half that I'm bulking up a lot of story for. And I think you'll be pleased Definately haven't seen the last of Emil. The "has he changed, or hasn't he?" interpretation will really become clear in the episode where Chloe's parents show up. I'm about to post some new spoilers up, so you can check those out next time you visit the forum. And you're absolutley right, and the great thing is, Emil knows that he can't just change his ways and think everything is going to be okay. He will have to find ways of repenting, and showing remorse. Thanks for the review, Maria! Always love reading them

FINALLY Episode 7...one of my 2nd favorite WT episodes This episode is basically a good start towards the finale . I love it soooooo much. The characters flowed together so well and I just loved the pace of the episode. I loved how you showed everybodys time 3 weeks later and i have to say i love the way you handled each and every character. Although I felt Oliver slipping into a drunken stupor over losing Chloe is kind of what he did after the whole Jimmy thing and it seemed a little bit to close to that. But other than that the episode was amazing . Here is what i thought of each character. I also loved the ending where Chloe is basically giving her message. I felt that it was a nice thing to do. I also loved Project Intercept was used in this episode. Chloe: My favorite Blond heroine. Although she was captured for most of the episode i was glad to see when she awakened that she is able to still kick ass. I loved her scenes with Helena when they see eachother again. I thought it was a perfect reunion between the two and it shows that they still have grief. I also loved how Chloe was able to handle those thugs. I also enjoyed the part where she speaks nasty to Olli in his ear. It goes to show that she is almost back to Chloe pre-Season 8 and 9. And her and Helena's reunion was perfect. . I liked it alot. Oliver: I don't understand why i couldnt connect with his character in this episode. I mean i understood the pain he as going through...but other than that i couldn't even connect. I did love his scenes with John Jones. The two of them are amazing and there dialogue made me crack up ALOT.haha. I hope John and Oliver can work together alot more in the future. Mia: So i have to say this girl has gone through alot. I liked how she is the only one of the team left standing. I loved how she was fixing the computers in WT and also dealing with trying to put the team back together. I also loved how Mia made it to my top favorite of WT characters. And it sucks that you are getting rid of her. I love this character and I hope you have her do more amazing stuff in the later episodes. Helena: She was Uh May Zing.lol. I liked how badass she was. It showed me that she was able to handle herself without the gang. Her and Chloe's reunion was nice. I liked how at first they were arguing with eachother but then in the end they made up with eachother. I liked it alot. I love how Helena now has a family with the Justice League. Bruce: His return was a good thing. I liked that he came back just in time to see the city going to hell. His and Chloe's reunion was amazing and Im starting to see the triangle start to form between him, Olli and Chloe. I also loved how concerned he was about Chloe disappearance. Perry: His storyline was nice. I liked that the Mortician kidnapped him. Perry keeping a gun in his desk was pretty bad-ass to me. I love that he was on top of everything in his storyline. He was amazing and Perry makes me laugh when i read this. John Jones: One of my FAVORITE heroes. He is amazing. He and Olli's dialogue made me laugh. I love how he shows up to save the day and fix everything that is going wrong. His and Helena's dialogue was nice. I was waiting for him and Bruce to meet eachother. But the scenes with him and Mia make up for that . I really hope you will bring John Back for more episodes. ALL IN ALL. I loved the episode I give you a 10 out of 10

Jack I really think there was something off about Martian Manhunter...maybe that's just me though...
I can't wait for Oliver and Bruce to confront each other about the kiss. I love Bruce interactions with both Oliver and Chloe and I'm really looking forward to it.
I'm a romantic at heart and a big Chloe/Oliver FAN so don't be surprise if I was disappointed in the lack of them. It's good to know that it will change once Vendetta airs.

^^ Well everyone views characters differently, and what makes them who they are to each individual viewer. I must not have captured your vision of who MM is. Like I said, I'll definately look into it if I bring him back onto the show Hahaha, I know. I'm a huge Chloe/Oliver fan. I just can't promise big scenes between them in every single episode -- but yeah, they'll take the spotlight once this Bruce arc comes to a close in "Archer".

Alright, time to review Watchtower's eighth episode 'Trial'. I'm going to start with saying that anything that appeared off with characters or storyline last episode was seemingly just a one episode thing because this episode is by far one of the best in the season. Also, I'm so glad you removed some of the side plots because I think any more than what was in the final episode would have made the episode a lot less effective as a whole. It's probably just my personal preference but I think dropping those extra sub-plots was a really good idea. One thing that's always bugged me about Watchtower is that there seems to be a million and one different story lines in each episode. That tends to make some of the episodes a little overwhelming but by pulling back a bit, like in this episode, I think everything suddenly has a lot more impact. So that's just something to think about Anyway, onto the rest of the episode XD I loved the Chloe/Bruce interaction in this episode. I love their friendship and some of the scenes between them, like the one where Bruce goes to Chloe to get her to help in finding Harvey, was a lot of fun. Chloe and Oliver were cute in this episode too. I know a lot of people like there to be lots of Chlollie scenes in the episode but I prefer their relationship as a bit more subtle. I think it makes their relationship a lot more mature and deeper so there was just the right amount of Chlollie in this episode to make me happy . I also enjoyed that Perry didn't really have his own big story line in this episode. I like Perry better when he's not in the spotlight and his interactions with Chloe in this episode were great. The introduction of Harvey and Jean was quite well done I think. The two of them in the trial scene were fantastic. In fact, that whole trial scene was really well written and I enjoyed it a lot. And Harvey becoming Two-Face was great. He was really creepy at the end there, can't wait to see if he pops up again in Watchtower. So, overall great episode. I'm going to give it a 9.5/10. In my opinion Trial is right up there with my other favourite episode of the season, 'Prey'. Great job Jack, can't wait to read next weeks episode

Alright, time to review Watchtower's eighth episode 'Trial'. Thanks for the review! Thanks. When it came to reading over it, I kind of saw that. When it came to Harvey, I saw that the scene with Chloe, and the breaking out of hospital scene was a little preview of who he was to become, but jumping off into a plot where he became the last minute antagonist was just moving away from the central theme/plot of the episode. So thats why I decided to remove it. And thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the final product Thanks, I'll definately take that into account. Sometimes, just one-off plots can be hard to move throughout a full length script, or, it doesn't satisfy the majority of the characters. So thats why I need to create sub-plots, and deal with other characters and their story/development. So, I'll definately try and make sure things don't get squashed together, and sort of flow better Hehe. I love writing scenes between Chloe and Bruce. I'm glad you liked their scenes! Yeah, I think having Chlollie in the spotlight each and every episode sort of kills those moments where something big happens. And seeing as I have something big planned with them towards the end of the season, I didn't want to have them at the center of each episode. I'm glad you liked the more subtle look at them this week. Perry also is one of those characters that will be getting a huge story in the last few episodes of the run. One of those stories has already been spoiled, while I'm keeping a lid on the other one. It'll be fun. I have Chris to thank for Jean Loring. He really pointed me in the direction of that character, and I really wanted to sink my teeth into it. I hope to have her back, maybe not in the final run of this season, but in the comics she definately has a crazy/evil counterpart, that sort of got touched on with all her ... bitchiness... in this episode. And I'm so happy about the feedback I'm getting for the trial part, means a lot! I really didn't want to put some fake, unbelievable material in there, or just skip through the trial parts, and did some research on it, and I'm just glad it paid off. So thanks, MJ! Wow, thanks for the numbers! Again, appreciate the review, so glad you liked the episode! Thanks for leaving some pointers and opinions on which episodes are better from your point of view, will very much help when it comes to writing the last few episodes I have left to script. And will definately be taking notes from this, to help me write a hopefully renewed second season *fingers crossed* Thanks, MJ!

I've just finished reading "Trial"..and i just have to say that i found all this story about Vesper's murder very interesting... Harvey and Jean scene in the court was so realistic, you wrote it perfectly ...a very different plot that i really enjoyed The one who surprised me most is Emil..i really can't believe he feels so guilty to be willing to go to prison...all of a sudden he turns good?? maybe... Bruce really feels for Chloe, and it's very funny how he tries to know everything about her love life ...i like all their dialogues, and i cannot wait for Oliver to know about the kiss i loved the chlollie moment...not a big scene but it's just perfect and Oliver is always very funny.... the love of my life... who said that? ;D vote 8 not my favorite episode but still very very nice

I'm really loving the feedback I got for the Harvey/Jean/Court scene! Hehe. His story is definately one to follow closely. I'm glad you're liking this aspect of the story. The Bruce/Chloe/Oliver stuff. The kiss is a very important aspect of "Archer", which I'm about to upload now Hahaha. I liked writing that scene. Happy you enjoyed it Thanks for the review!! And the numbers! Really appreciate it! XD

"Archer" i just loved that episode..i give 9 I'll start with Oliver and Bruce....i loved how they worked together...for a moment I thought he had really shot oliver.. they did a great job, and it was a good idea to not tell Chloe about it, for once she is the one left behind the scene I loved how Oliver tried to handle all the Bruce-kissed-Chloe story, it showed how much he really cares about his friendship...in the other hand i found Bruce having much self confidence...i guess he will not stay in Japan long enough to let the smoke to clear I'm really excited about this...i love Oliver when he gets jealous ;D Chloe played well her Watchtower role..good idea to let her having met Perry....but i guess that's not enough for him to stop searching for her... Ohhh and finally Waller is back..... really excited for the incoming episode

"Archer" i just loved that episode..i give 9 Wow, thank you! Hahaha, used for dramatic effect, LOL. I'm glad you liked their team-up, take-down for this episode - definately wanted to do something like this from the very beginning. So thanks! With Bruce gone, the Chloe/Oliver relationship will return to the spotlight in the remaining episodes, so I'm glad you liked the intertwined story of all three in this one. At the moment, this will be Bruce Wayne's last appearance on the season, in "present time". You will see him in the future, but I think, when having planned these arcs, Bruce's story has been wrapped up and he's been sent on his way to finish his training, hopefully returning next season as the vigilante we all know and love, hehe ... still waiting for some news on that, but hang in there guys Thanks. Originally I had a whole Chloe [as watchtower]/Perry scene where we got to see the talk, but it was much more important to just hear things from Perry's point of view in the following act. Next episode, we'll see more of that Perry/Watchtower stuff, very fun to write it was Hehe. Yup! And Emil is trying so hard to be good, I think we can all see that no matter how hard he tries, he can't escape that part of his life. It keeps finding its way back in his life. Thank you, soooo much! Loved your review for "Archer" can't wait to see what you say about the last remaining episodes of the whole first season! It feels weird talking about the season wrapping up. I can remember just yesterday struggling to write the pilot, and finally getting a script I liked haha. ... good times. Haha. Thanks again! XD

Time to review 'Archer' I really enjoyed the opening scenes of this episode, the interaction between Chloe and Bruce was great. I felt you really captured the characters personalities in that scenes and the dialogue flowed beautifully. I should probably point out that between the teaser and act 1 Chloe's dress changed from green to red XD Oh, normally I don't like any scenes with Emil in them but his scenes in this episode I actually found really interesting. I think you did a really great job on them and I did enjoy those scenes a lot. Unfortunately the main plot of the episode involving the Archer I found a little underwhelming. I'm not sure if that was because I was really looking forward to the episode from spoilers and promos and my expectations were a little high or because of other things but either way I jut didn't find it all that exciting. That being said though, the confrontation between Bruce and Oliver and the end of the episode was really great. I loved seeing that confrontation finally happen and thought it was very well done. Not too over the top either, it was perfect. I also liked the Perry/Watchtower stuff too. I think I mentioned it in my review for the last episode but I love Perry so much more in small doses compared to when he has a major role in the episode. But yes, Perry bugging Chloe about the whole 'Watchtower' thing was great and I loved how Chloe tries to throw him off the scent without being really obvious about it too Glad to see Mia again too. It's a pity that she probably won't be in the second season because I'm loving her role as mini-watchtower, I think it's great Anyway, this episode I'm going to give an 8/10. Although the main plot fell a bit short in my eyes I loved almost everything else. Keep up the great work Jack and I can't wait to see next weeks episode

Time to review 'Archer' Awesome, love your reviews Thanks, MJ. I've said it many times, but I really enjoy writing those two together. *nervous grin* that was meant to happen... haha. Kidding. Can't believe that happened, for all intents and purposes, the dress is meant to be green. I wanted something to symbolise Chloe/Oliver in the scenes with Chloe/Bruce. Just a little nod to the relationship in a subtle way -- can't believe it turned to red and defeated the purpose of having the green dress. *facepalm* Thanks. I think I've had a bit more of a challenge writing a redemptive Emil, as its a bit hard to go from such an evil character, to this character who wants redemption, and is going out and finding it. However, its been a lot of fun, nontheless. I'm glad you liked his scenes this week. Its cool. Can't please everyone with every episode. Thank you. I'm glad you liked that scene. It was tough to write, because I didn't want Bruce's qualities rubbing off onto Oliver when he spoke about his parents, and so I wasn't sure if it would be the best thing I've ever written, but glad it was enjoyable. Haha. Definately enjoyed writing their story for this episode. A lot. Maybe too much... But yes, there's a lot of fun stuff coming in next week's episode about Chloe/Perry that will be even more fun to work with. I think I agree with you on the small doses of Perry. He is a great character to work with, and there will be some times where he'll get a bit more spotlight, but I think the stories work better for him when the stories don't center around him. That said, there's a lot coming up for that character, in the last few episodes, that sort of shifts that in the final run. Thanks. I love writing Mia too, its just, I think it was around the time the last two episodes of the first half (of season one) were airing, and I was getting ready to write the second half, and I felt I was coming in short for that character. I definately tried to amp up her arc this season, with that "mini-watchtower" aspect, but in her last episode of the season (episode 11), she'll become her own hero, and have her own sort of identity. Something that I think will wrap the character up perfectly. And, I think I'd be insane to say she'll never be on the show again. She'll more than likely re-appear somewhere down the line in a guest spot, if I'm given the chance. Thanks for the review, MJ! Awesome read. Thanks for the numbers as well, hopefully when all the reviews get tallied up, and some sort of percentage is made, we'll get some word on a second season.

I've gone over my plans for the remaining episodes, "Homecoming" to be exact, and hadn't seen anything written for him. I've already thought of a way to have him in the next season, from where we left off in "Archer", so I hope I get the chance to do that, but I think, at the moment, its better, for the story, if "Archer" was his last "present time" appearance, as honestly, he's off becoming Batman. There are 13 episodes in a season for 'Watchtower'. So there's only four episodes left. Episode Ten is about Deadshot returning, the one after that is Mia's final episode, then we have Chloe's parents back in town, before the finale crossover movie arrives at the end of the year. So there's a lot to look forward to. And thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so happy Watchtower has managed to grab an audience willing to leave reviews and rate the episodes, and help me understand what you readers want to see happen, expect to see happen, and don't want to see happen. I've enjoyed all the reviews, and all the time you've invested so far And yeah, I just remembered, Chloe has a new power that can change any piece of clothing into a different colour. Spiffy, right? Haha. Yeah, seriously, thats just a minor error on my part. Hope it didn't cause too much "what the...??" haha. Thanks again. XD
