Amanda Waller was such a perfect antagonist in the first season. What I like about her role so far during the second season is that she's no longer top dog, and there are much higher forces out there than her. I really liked her 'good side' being shown in the premiere, if you could call it that, and I don't know if its because her outlook on things have changed, or if there's a bigger personal threat towards her than just Trinity, but Amanda seems to be on the redeeming side this season, from what I can remember. I have a feeling that the more Lex pushes Amanda into doing things, and the more he tries to control her, the faster Amanda will turn over to Lana's side.
I don't think Amanda Waller will EVER be truly good, OR truly evil. That's what makes her so interesting. The first season, sure, she was THE antagonist for the team to overcome, but I think her desire to overthrow Lex Luthor is stronger than her desire to bring Trinity down.

Jack....how come you are ALWAYS insightful when you post?hahaha. I swear that is a really great quality to have Haha. I tend to just ramble a lot. Chris' catch up posts are really interesting to read, and they make me heaps excited for the characters and the season. Then I start to remember their arcs in season one, and then I just can't shut up. Like now. Haha. xD

I think that's what I like about Amanda this season. She's going through a serious power struggle and her journey toward regaining that power or losing it, depending on how you perceive what I'm planning, is something I'm really excited about. What you said is definitely true, Amanda will NEVER be "truly good, or truly evil." So, this should be an interesting season for her because she finally has to make the decision on where exactly she stands.

Catching Up: Quentin's Recap! Character Recap: Quentin Jack O'Neal (Jamie Bamber) is an original character and was created by Chris Davis, specifically for "Trinity." Well oriented, handsome and quite reserved, Quentin was introduced into the universe as a new, close friend to Lana while she's been in Odyssey. The two are partners in fighting crime, him being more of the brains of the operation, as he is highly skilled in mechanics, computer science and more fields that prove useful to Lana and her mission. The duo have also taken up residence together in Odyssey, though, just as "close friends."
In his first appearance, Quentin is portrayed as a "weak" man, not knowing how to fend for himself, though that idea was quickly put the rest. We soon discover that O'Neal was in engaged to be married to a woman named Valentina Vostok, who came up missing four years ago. He still has hope that she's alive and well, but when the rest of the world has declared her dead, he finds it difficult to look for help, especially since his so called "best friend," Lana Lang, knows nothing about his previous relationship with Valentina.
As his story begins to deepen, we discover that he has a past with Stuart Campbell (Ryan McDonnel) an agent of Checkmate. Stuart graduated from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), where Quentin was a Teacher's Assistant. The two had a pretty solid friendship, but like most student-teacher relationships, it dissolved when one of the two left. After meeting Stuart for the first time in over five years, he learns of his affiliations with Checkmate and he finds himself an enemy, which results in Quentin putting Stuart in a coma for a time. The aftermath left Quentin in a self hating state, and his shame about Stuart, and Valentina got the best of him.
With the help of Cynthia (Anna Paquin), Quentin was able to pick himself back up again. But, all of that turned to ash when he discovers that Cynthia is a spy for Checkmate and has been secretly feeding information back to The White Queen. Shocked and heartbroken, Quentin is kidnapped and forced to complete Project Facultas, an Checkmate experiment that resulted with hundreds of Odyssey citizens to be exposed to Green Kryptonite, altering and corrupted hundreds of people's DNA.
As the war against team Lana and Checkmate begins, Quentin begins to look to Lana as more than just a friend. As sparks begin to fly, the two are put into an awkward situation when both get possessed by ancient lovers, who plan on keeping their bodies for good. As possessed Lana and Quentin hold on to their soul, they see and experience everything that's going on, though they themselves, are not in control. After defeating the two spirits and regaining control over themselves, the friends can't help but see one another differently, which leads to their first kiss, though they were interrupted by a call from non other than Cynthia.
As they go to help Cynthia fight Checkmate one last time, they go up against Amanda Waller and her agents together, and ultimately win the battle, though the war is far from over. That same night, the two finish what they started. As season one comes to a close, we watch as they begin to make love.
In season two, Quentin and Lana are still going strong. Deeply passionate for one another, in many ways. With this new relationship, Quentin finds it hard to balance his love life and work, though the two are one of the same. It doesn't help when Stuart Campbell, now on Quentin's side, return with news that his ex-fiancee, Valentina Vostok, is still alive. Will he ask Lana for help this time around, or will he again get caught up in a web of depression, by chasing a ghost? Find out when Trinity returns, September 26th, 2011!
