Well either way, I can't wait for you to do more original characters. Kyle is such a nice little tease at Chloe taking on a protégée of sorts. And I can't wait to see how Emil plays into this cure. I hope he sticks around for a while. Although I keep forgetting if everyone knows Emil is alive. Well following the 315 is the 50th episode event, so you might see him in it that As for Emil, and the cure, we know that he spent all this time trying to destroy the original Emil's experiments so the fact that one got out has made him a not so happy man. And yeah, I've had a lot of fun with these mentor/student dynamics this season. I mean, it very much started with Vicki and Kahn, in my eyes, and then we had Chloe and Kyle, and most recently, Chloe and Barbara. Helena and Dick might have counted as one too back in the beginning, when he had something to teach her. But Helena isn't the listening type of gal, haha.

Writing Selina's last scene for Watchtower S3, then I'm off to do a final edit of 313 for release on Monday, an outline for 315, and sometime throughout the week, an edit of 314 for release on May 25. I'm excited

Haha. Good. And I might have a new opinion of Dinah. Thanks to your laurel video. It put things in perspective on how you did her storyline on WT. So thank you. Before Mia, Dinah was my go to heroine. She is practically a big player in dc comics. Hell she knows Batmans secret identity. So im over my hate towards her. And hooray for Emil coming back. I can't wait to see what he brings to that final battle with hush. Also with Kyle, I know where you're going with him.....although I have to know, will he be there in S4. The reason I ask will become apparent in a couple of months. I had a lot of fun writing Dinah's arc this season. It was a nice surprise. At the start of every season, I have twenty-two episode worth of notes, and a lot of things stay the same, and a lot of things change as it goes on. Dinah's entire story arc from episode eight onwards was very different, and from episode nine onwards, it was all new things planned episode to episode. So it was refreshing to me. The opportunity to get her from being this Black Canary from Smallville who wasn't really in touch with her comic book persona to the hero that resembled Dinah Laurel Lance from the comics... it was a nice little achievement of mine to tick off the list and having her in Star City with Oliver, and Speedy, and everyone else from that world made a lot of sense to do following the death of her mother (and also with the theme of this season being identity). Emil will be back in 315. All the talk of this "cure" and all the talk of his experiments which were the main source of conflict in the first season, are about to be addressed in "Overload." It wouldn't be right to do that storyline without revisiting his character, and trying to figure out how his drug is being distributed is a huge part of the ongoing mystery. It'll call for the introduction of another DC Comics' villain Kyle is in it for the long run. In what capacity, that'll be a question all our main characters will be facing by the end of the season. I usually know half-way through a season what characters I want and need for the next, but figuring out who will be getting 17-22 episodes and be the main characters for that story and that season... it's a longer process. But the plan was to establish this character on the show in season three, and to have that original character among the iconic DC Comics ones and flesh him out. So hopefully he'll be in S4 too ...unless of course, he's the big death in 313. Stay tuned for next week *selfless plug*

You're Welcome . I honestly can't wait to see how you end this season. I have an idea, but I'm not 100% yet. Any chance of Mia coming back and interacting with the cast? Because honestly her stints this season have been pretty great I'm honestly waiting for you to put a scene where Moira and Gabe are gone, so she calls Mia to babysit.hahaha Mia will definitely be back before the end of the season. It's been a lot of fun weaving her in and out this year. There aren't many characters on this show who leave and stay gone, and while it proved difficult to keep Mia around in a full-time position, the occasional reappearance here and there isn't hard at all. Along with her, you'll also see Dinah back, and even Emil Hamilton

"Regrets" ReviewFirst of all: MY HEART. IT HURTS. AND YOU. ARE SO, SO, SO EVIL. This episode was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. Part of me was almost glad that there wasn't a previously on -- despite forgetting one or two details from the previous season -- purely because there was so much raw emotion involved that I didn't want to know specifics until they re-entered the storyline. So in an episode that dealt with the immediate aftermath of a shooting, and the life of a main character hanging in the balance, I was expecting nothing short of an "emotional rollercoaster" and it really delivered on that front. The first thing I have to talk about is Alisha. She was really front and centre of this episode -- deservedly so -- and it was watching her breakdown that really served the most emotion of the episode. Lines of action described how heartbreaking it must have been, showing us that she's clearly imagined this future with David and sees this future with him that has quickly been yanked out of her grasp. I think the scene with Mia was what added layers onto the episode, purely because I had forgotten about the cheating fiasco of sequence three that kind of made me sit back and think about what I wanted from this outcome. If David survived, would I want to see him reunited with Alisha? Do I think she deserves David's love anymore? What do I want to see come from all of this? It's hard to remember what went down prior when David's life is hanging on the balance, but it was that scene with Alisha and Mia that kind of conflicted me. Everything Mia said was in fact the truth, and hearing Alisha palm it off as a "mistake" bugged me so, so, so much. Sure, she regrets it. I understand that. But she made an active, conscious choice to be with someone else -- however brief it was -- and so it infuriated me at this point that she's going through this, feeling as though she's lost her future, lost the man she loves, when it wasn't the bullet that could have severed their relationship, but it was actually her "mistake." That was what made the end scene so worth it because this wasn't really about whether or not David lives, it was about whether or not she would get to see him again and in actual fact, she doesn't. He lives to see another day, and with those days, he doesn't want Alisha to play any part in them. I think there's a lot of story left in David, and left in David/Alisha and the conflicts that came out of the last sequence to be explored here and I'm so glad that David wasn't killed because of the potential left in this arc. Part of me doesn't see how David and Alisha will ever or should ever find their way back to one another but at the same time... I don't think I'll be happy seeing them with anyone else. It's going to be a journey for those characters that I'm more than happy about seeing play out this sequence. I would like to see some ownership and responsibility taken on Alisha's part. Instead of referring to what she did as a mistake, she should own it as a choice she made that she regrets making but that's something she has to live with every day of her life, and is no one else's god damn business. See, now I'm mad at Mia again. Seriously, I don't even know what to do with myself. DAMN YOU BRADY! Moving on to the other plot-points of this episode. I enjoyed seeing Paula attempt to shed some light on the moment but when it came time to learning who the shooter was, it was as though that light was drained straight out of her. I don't know if that's setting up the beginning of a much darker Paula -- someone who is down in the dumps and struggling with the not-so-great stuff that happens in life -- or if it's just a genuine reaction to the news and there's a different tone for her (and these other characters as well) for the sequence. But I'm glad that all these characters got to give us some form of reaction to the shooting, and it didn't take away from Alisha's heartbreak, or anyone else's, you know? It was an intense episode, and everyone was sort of crumbling under the events that put David in hospital. I think I'm most interested in a possible PTSD situation for Rose. She seemed really shook up over the shooting. She was talking in fragments, and really struggling and it made me really want to see what happens with her as the sequence plays out. It's kind of hard to get a feel for what the sequence is about with a premiere that effectively deals with the aftermath because those type of episodes generally feel like a finale 2.0, but I'm ridiculously excited about next week's episode, and seeing what else is in store for the season. My only problem with the episode was that while I loved the final scene and how it made sense to include it because of that previous scene with Mia, and because the whole episode dealt with "Is he going to survive or isn't he?" I kind of wish it was saved for next week. It felt like an attached scene at the end that was like: I know you have all these questions so I'm going to answer them right now. But I can't fault it too much because I know how crazy I would be waiting a whole other week to find out David's status. I think it would have worked better if it was a Nurse telling David he has a visitor, and that it was Alisha and he was just like refusing to see her, and so she couldn't even be let in the room to see him. But at the same time, with this being a "break up" of sorts, it was best to have it face to face. I don't know. Either way, a fantastic start to the sequence. Well done, buddy!

So I've been gone for a while on a mini vacay to Vegas and I come back and there are new spoilers.....hooray But wait.....I can't stay happy, because its that time of the year where Jack kills a character we love.So anyone want to start placing bets? Also anyone else gunna touch the fact that we have not one but two doomsdays on earth 1? To counter this: there are some resurrections/shocking returns of characters thought to be gone not related to the big death of 313. As for Doomsday, it's a definite set-up that will see some pay-off in the long haul (specifically the early episodes of the final season). I can't really get too much into it but it was a conscious decision to not send Doomsday back to Earth-2, and to not have the closure to that storyline be so easily met. I don't know if anyone else picked up on the two Doomsdays, but it will be touched on in the show before all is said and done.

Anyone else remember when I started the season by saying how different it will be in comparison to the last season in regards to how many deaths there would be? I think I've turned into every other TV Exec who just blatantly talks from their ass and then feels like apologising by the end of the season, LMAO. I swear, by the end of the season, it will all make sense.

DAMN YOU, MALONE!!!!! WHY MUST YOU CONSISTANTLY BREAK OUR HEARTS?! I don't know who dies, but WHOEVER it is, I'm most probably going to be sobbing into my keyboard afterwards!! I can't reveal the episode fourteen description until it airs because it very much deals with the aftermath of the big death. Despite major changes to the show, I'm excited about this next arc. Going into this season, I've known how Selina's episodes play out and finally having them finalised and written makes me even more anxious to air them. Hope ya'll like them

Watchtower Returns: New Episodes for May!TheVPN has announced that "Watchtower" is set for return on May 11, 2015 with the start of three fresh new episodes which mark the return of Eliza Dushku's Selina Kyle/Catwoman, the debut of DC Comics' Riddler, and Clayface, as well as the death of a major character that no one will see coming. Below are the title cards and preliminary descriptions for the upcoming run, as well as the air dates for each individual episode. Producers tell VSGuide that the mid-season premiere will bring Selina Kyle (Eliza Dushku) back into the main storyline with an arc focusing on the biggest question surrounding her character since her introduction: does she really have nine lives? Is she immortal? As well as that, Selina will be on a one-woman mission to bring Hush down, and will finally make a much needed dent in bringing the big bad of Season Three down. "There's a lot of progress made for Team Watchtower in the fight against Hush," Malone told of the upcoming episodes, "However, it's going to get worse before it gets better." Among these episodes are major set changes, iconic comic book introductions, and one shocking twist that no one will see coming: "We're saying goodbye to a beloved character in [episode thirteen]."
Need any more convincing for the upcoming run? Check out the preliminary descriptions below! 312 "THIEF" | May 11, 2015 ELIZA DUSHKU RETURNS TO "WATCHTOWER." okay oh my fricking god. i just finished reading the finale and haven't got a chance to read season 1 and 2 completely yet but wanted to get at least caught up and tune into season 3 and omg...this was a depressingly gut wrenching finale and omg i love it haha. You really know how to pull at the heart strings with Chloe and Oliver and really i never been much of a fan of them but i had to admit i was feeling so sorry for Chloe by the end of this episode and then just to have her...oh my god. I so can't wait to see how she comes back cause oh my god she has to come back. And then i thought Dinah was dead but then she wasn't and working with the Suicide Squad now and wow Emil i so have to get caught up on this series. Very wonderful dramatic and dark finale and it actually felt like it was watching it on television haha. And wow i really love Harley haha and the Joker. The Vicki moments was very nice and inspiring and i don't know much about her but she seems like a strong cool chicka and i want to get to see her story. So have to get caught up and poor Ollie. He's too hot to be a memory-less hunk of hotness...so much to look forward too next season. Killer great finale i give it five stars ha! Thank you so much, man. Still to this day, "Anarchy" was my favourite episode to write. Everything just came together so well by the end of the season, and that episode was a breeze to get through and had so many pay-off moments I had been waiting to write since the season began. It's so cool to see that it still holds up. Everything you said in this review was just the highest of compliments, so thank you!

I CAN NOT wait for clayface . And Hush recruiting future villians and bringing them into the present? I am okay with that Woohoo! Your support means the world to me, man. Thank you so much. I'm really excited for the Clayface storyline. I think when all is said and done, you'll see what stories have influenced his arc, and his origin, etc, but this added element of "time" makes it a lot fresher and more exciting to write. Hoping to include some nods to the comics and perhaps the many different incantations of the character that have existed throughout the mythology of those comics.

Another majorly ICONIC character comes to "Watchtower"!! Woot!! Seriously, having Bruce/Batman go up against someone as powerful and menacing as Clayface, I can't wait to see how you write it, Jack, not to mention casting it! I love the idea you're introducing the villains in their prime, and later establishing their origin - it's definitely an interesting twist on the useage of time travel, and makes me wonder just WHO 'Hush' really is if he's got that kind of capability! The idea kind of hit me when it came time to outline the Poison Ivy episode, and I wanted to do something a little different with Ivy because even though "Trinity" was ultimately rebooted, and later cancelled, that episode was still one of the most stand out episodes of the series for me and I didn't want to just do: "Ivy comes to Gotham." So, I ended up with the idea that Ivy was from the future. So, we see how Ivy's story comes to an end, but her journey is far from over and knowing the Batman mythology, they have a lot of encounters yet to come. The idea to do the same for Clayface just felt like a sequel to this storyline that Hush is gathering enemies from the future, and kind of brings an explanation with it other than me saying "yeah, Ivy was from the future" or me saying "Clayface is also from the future." It's a lot of fun to do it this way, and playing with "time" as its own component this season has been a blast. As for Hush, I hope that when all is said and done, the pay-off is worth it. I hope everything makes sense. I mean, it makes sense to me but until an audience of people receive the "pay off" I can't really know for sure. He's definitely the most powerful enemy in the Rogue Gallery so far, and I've had a lot of fun with him. The second half starts to really spill the beans here and there. There is of course going to be a lot of red herrings -- it wouldn't be a mystery without one -- but also a lot of things that will add up by the end of the season. The last three episodes of the season are the most crucial to the Hush storyline with it coming together and painting a bigger picture of everything he's done during the times we haven't seen him, and the times we have. He may even be unmasked sooner than you think

Just In: DC Comics Baddie "Clayface" Booked To Play A Huge Role in the Second Half of the Season!Adapting from the comic book storyline titled after this year's big bad, "Hush", Watchtower Season Three is set to include the most characters from Batman's Rogue Gallery than any other season. After appearances made by The Joker, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Hugo Strange, and an expected appearance by The Riddler in the mid-season premiere, Clayface is the next to grace the small screen. However, the character is said to play a much larger role than his predecessor's.
"The idea of a man who can be anyone they want seems like the perfect villain-of-the-week episode," series creator, Jack Malone told VSGuide, "However, we find it more interesting to give [Clayface] more of an arc, and a purpose." Malone revealed that while the second half of the season is the Hush storyline "on steroids," it will involve another mysterious arc surrounding the origin of Clayface. The character is said to make their first appearance as an already villainous shape-shifter in the thirteenth episode of the season, but his origin story will come much later as the season progresses. "Hush is plucking these well-known Batman villains out of their future, and recruiting them in their prime while our heroes are yet to be in theirs," Malone revealed, confirming the Chris Davis penned episode of Watchtower featured both a Poison Ivy from the future, and an Ivy of the present. "Clayface is the sequel to that storyline in many ways."
When asked if this news came with an announcement that he would be the fourth season's big bad, producers revealed that there were no plans to include the DC Comics character in their yet-to-be-renewed fourth season. "It took some time before we could figure out what our fourth season would be, and who would be in it, but it's slowly taking shape as we get closer to finishing [season three]," Malone admitted, revealing that while cards were still on the table for anything to happen, Clayface would not be the new season's big bad, "Last season we had the Key Crime Syndicate (KCS) lead by Alberto Falcone, and then The Joker showed up in the second half. This season, we've booked Talia Al Ghul, Hush, and now Clayface."
Previously said, Clayface will make his first appearance in the thirteenth episode of the season, titled "DNA." He is expected to play a huge role in Eliza Dushku's final episodes of the season, and make several appearances leading up to the finale, titled "Hush."
So, what are your thoughts on the new DC Comics baddie coming to Watchtower?

This series will be the first i get caught up on. I have the whole second season saved to my tab and plans to get to reading soon. Bummer about Trinity but looking forward to seeing what you do with Lana in Watchtower. Thanks for the support! It means a lot, man. When it comes to Lana, I'm hoping to work closely with Chris -- the creator of "Trinity" and executive producer for "Watchtower" -- to really make sure what's being done with Lana can carry some of the weight of the superb storylines and set-up that was made for the character on her own spin-off show. Secretly, I'd like to see Chris do something with the character post-Watchtower should he have the time in his schedule to revisit his series (as I was a huge fan of it) but for the most part, she's still the same Lana Lang that we all loved and she's a crucial part of the fourth season, of which will be set-up in her two/three S3 Episodes.
