REVIEW: 1.07 - "Broken, Bound, and Beaten"So here we are, the Hellbound Arc 2 premiere. I'm ecstatic it's back! And I can't wait to see where this whole story goes, because this premiere was INSANE. It had so much going on, but the episode had a nice flow to it - if I were to say something was rushed, it would have been Alyson's role, but I still enjoyed her aspect. But I'm just going to go ahead and get the nit pick out of the way - I have mixed feelings on the Queen. Don't get me wrong, she had some awesome lines, but her sort of child-like dialogue in some aspects seemed out of place to me. To be fair, I'll probably get used to it by the next episode, so it didn't take away from the episode for me. I love how James is slowly starting to go insane. I think. HAHAHA. If that's not even what's happening, then totally ignore that. But, in this episode, I loved his interactions with Jeremy. The mystery surrounding James is slowly unraveled, and a lot was revealed in this episode, and I really enjoyed it. James' character is just becoming more interesting and interesting, and GRACE? LIKE WHAT. YES. PLEASE. Again, like I've always said, Adam is my favorite character. When he busted James out of the the dungeon was my favorite scene. Maybe Adam can beat the Queen up... maybe. But anyways, THE BAT CREATURE. That was some freaky sh*t. Definitely want to see more of them, because they seem like they could prove to be a deadly foe. And the Order was brought up once more, and I would love to see that aspect brought up more as well. Alyson didn't have a whole lot to work with in this episode. I liked her interactions with the lawyer, just because I love judicial stuff like that because I actually know some stuff about law and it's just really enjoyable to me. I'm interested to see how her story is going to resolve - will there be a trial? Will she break out? So, all in all, AWESOME premiere. Like it upped the stakes from the first arc so much I can't wait to see what happens. Oh, and, THE CLIFFHANGER. LIKE CAN IT BE FRIDAY OR NAH. But seriously, great job, I can't wait to see what happens (especially Adam and Alyson's first meeting. #Adyson #Alydam FTW).

Speaking of which, I've recently just finished writing "Bound" and it kind of bookends the first three episodes as opposed to jump starting the next block of episodes. So I think I might actually air "Bound" next Monday, and have the show return with episodes 5-11, as opposed to including "Bound" in that. "Haunted" takes place a week after the events of "Bound" so its quite disjointed in the returning run. I hope that's okay with everyone.

So that trailer was INSANE! It had so much going on - I loved it. Seems like Arc 2 is definitely going to outdo the first, which was pretty great in itself. But yes, sooooo looking forward to it!
CAN IT BE FRIDAY ALREADY OR NAH?

CASTING NEWS: CHRISTOPHER MELONI AND ELIZABETH MITCHELL JOIN "REALITY" More "Reality" news has found its way to the surface! Christopher Meloni ('Law and Order: SVU' and 'True Blood') and Elizabeth Mitchell ('LOST,' 'Revolution') have been booked for roles in the first season of the sci-fi drama! Meloni will portray Neil Burke, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, who begins asking questioning that Veronica and Hugh don't want answered; while Mitchell will play Clarissa Langley, Lily's mother. "Neil is one of the main players in the subplot of the first season. He begins a search, which ultimately leads to several, dangerous questions," series creator Brady Brown says. "He forms a partnership with someone, and even though he works closely with the President of the United States, he begins doing anything he can to find the answers he so direly needs." "And with Clarissa, she's in flashbacks. She helps us gather a better understanding of Lily and her personality."Meloni was quoted saying his character is "connected to someone," and with yesterday's character highlight - could Neil be connected to Adam Dashner? Neil is said to make his first appearance in the second episode of the season, while Mitchell will appear in the third. Keep watch for more casting spoilers and character's highlight as production for "Reality" continues!

CHARACTER HIGHLIGHT - ADAM DASHNER Season one of “Reality” is currently underway, but VSGUIDE was able to catch series star Shane West, who portrays criminal Adam Dashner, who is one of the two main characters attempting to gain their freedom. VSGUIDE: With “Reality” being picked up just a couple of weeks ago, many users may not be aware with the show’s premise. Care you describe the premise for us? SHANE: Well, basically, scientist discovered that traveling between dimensions was entirely possible. So, when our big ‘ole President got a hold of this information, he decided to hold a lottery and send several criminals to various dimensions. But something malfunctioned, and mine and Anna [Kendrick]’s character were left behind, and to gain our freedom, we have to go and bring all of the other criminals back. VSGUIDE: Well, it seems pretty obvious that “Reality” is a sci-fi show, but are there any other genres the show falls under? SHANE: Oh, definitely! It has tons of adventure, as we go to a different dimensions in each episode. And along with that, action totally ensues. But there’s also a mystery aspect, which people who read the pilot will know about. [laughs] VSGUIDE: What kind of character is Adam? SHANE: Well, in the beginning of the pilot, he’s a very jealous, vengeful character. He’s girlfriend cheats on him, and that’s kind of what sets his whole anger into motion. But after he’s been in jail for around two years, he begins to grow a conscience, which is something Lily, Anna’s character, doesn’t take a liking to. VSGUIDE: I’m assuming that’s who your character spends the most time with? Lily? SHANE: Oh yeah. Adam doesn’t really share any scenes with anyone else after the pilot. He has some conversations with Tatiana [Malsany]’s and Gerard [Butler]’s characters, but that’s from across a computer screen thousands of dimensions away. VSGUIDE: Any dimensions you would love to visit? SHANE: Yes! I would love to go to a pirate dimension! Or aliens! One of the two, I don’t know -- both maybe! I’ll make it work, don’t worry. VSGUIDE: Care to give us any spoilers regarding the first season? SHANE: Well, I don’t know when, but there should definitely be some recurring stars being announced soon. There’s three that are set in stone, but anymore I have no idea about. VSGUIDE: Care to describe any of them? SHANE: [laughs] All I can say is that Adam has a past relationship with one of them. VSGUIDE: And we’ll leave it at that! “Reality” has been rumored to premiere in summer-to-fall of 2014! In the meantime, catch up with the first episode HERE, and don’t forget to leave your thoughts over in the discussion thread! And look for more character highlights very soon!

and just locked in a pretty good storyline between Helena/Huntress and Hush in the back half. DUN DUN DUNNNN. WHAT. How dare you put Helena into harm's way, HOW DARE YOU. (I mean, unless she totally kicks his butt, which I mean, come on, she definitely will. Right?... RIGHT?)

A little promo for "Wanted Wednesdays" featuring Reality and Gangland. You know, criminals and stuff. Jamison came up with the title as a little joke, but I personally liked it. Let us know if you think this title should stick! Haha
