new roles and another goodbye for Season Two The team of Winchester ( Matthew James, Jamison, and Jay Paterson) are looking to a cast a new recurring female character who will appear in the last three episodes of season two and will likely join as a main cast member for season three. The character in question is being named "Claire Walsh", she is described as rebellious, damaged, and a flirt. Unlike all the other families on the series, Claire is said to be a child of the system who managed to rise above and get into a good college. Actresses being considered are "Smallville" and "Warehouse 13" star Alison Scagliott, Glee's "Naya Rivera" and "Melissa Benoist" and Eureka star "Jordan Hinson" When asked for his comment on the casting options James had this to say "It's rather difficult because all are very talented and I could see the different qualities that each woman could bring to the character" On a sadder note James also revealed that the writers had broken the finale for season two, revealing that everything comes to a head in the penultimate episode and by episode ends we will be saying goodbye to two characters (at least) and revealing one to be a blond.

I thought Allison was up for a role in the possible Cate Foxx centered spin-off? If she's up for this new character, does that mean the Cate show isn't happening? I'm still only a few episodes into the first season, but Cate has stood out to me as one of my favourites so far!

Thanks Alex Matthews! Yes Alison is still going to play as Grace, should the series happen. I was kind of thinking it more like "just in case" Right now I'm thinking of it like Justin Hartley in Aquaman, he played the lead and when the show didn't happen he was casted as Oliver. Plus Alison doesn't appear in the backdoor episode, only Agron, Kress, and Parilla make appearances in the episode that takes place in Winchester. So we will know if the series is picked up or not before Alison would appear

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: SHELLEY HENNIG With the second season premiere having aired. VSGUDIDE had a chance to sit down with newcomer Shelley Hennig and discuss her upcoming story arc on the college drama Winchester. VSGUIDE: You play newcomer Quinn Hamilton, how many episodes are you in this season? HENNIG: In the first half of the season, three. But I think the producers want to bring Quinn back in the second half for a bigger arc. VSGUDE: Also with most of the male cast member's being single, will Quinn be love interest to any of them? HENNIG: (laughs) don't think them being in a relationship will stop her. Quinn is for sure a huge flirt. She has a boat load of confidence, and she does set her sights on two of our boys. VSGUIDE: In the premiere, we saw her stand up to Eve, when back into a corner. Will this conflict continue between the two girls? HENNIG: YES! Quinn is one tough cookie, and refuses to be bullied. Well Eve works a lot with intimidation, she quickly finds it doesn't work on Quinn and their rivalry and "competition" for Jake will continue to cause problems and it may even put their lives in danger in the third episode. VSGUIDE: What is it exactly that brings her to Miami? HENNIG: The truth, that's one of the reasons I think she connects to Jake so well, he's aspires to a be journalist well she wants to be an investigative reporter. I think it allows them to connect and have an easier time than the difficult one he's having right now with Eve. VSGUIDE: James and his team, have hinted in the past that Everwise won't last. Will Quinn be the cause of that? HENNIG: (Shrugs) You'll just have to wait and find out. I know Colton [Haynes] might play a part in it. VSGUIDE: Last question, with your first arc wrapped up. Who has been your favorite cast member to share scenes with? HENNIG: That's a tough one, I want to say all of them, but I think Josh [Zuckerman] He's just so good at playing up that awkwardness. VSGUIDE: Well that's all, with the first run wrapped up. Fans can expect to see Shelley in the first three episode of the season. INTERVIEW WITH TYLER BLACKBURN VPN TODAY: Today we get a chance to catch up with Tyler Blacburn one of the newest series regulars on VPN’s college drama Winchester. Tyler, let’s start with Jake’s role within the group this season. BLACKBURN: I think Jake was lucky, I think his role as the “new guy” saved him a lot of the pain and grief that his friends are facing, and because of that, I believe this year he serves as the rock for many of his friends, especially Eve. VPN TODAY: Speaking of Eve, can you tell us anything about what Everwise is going to go through? BLACKBURN: I think they came together from attraction, and what held them together was tragedy, Jake’s need to support Eve in her darkest hour, and now that things are finally settling down, and Eve is ready to move past what’s happened to Shane, I think her relationship with Jake is going to come into question. Does she need in as much as she has? And if not what does that mean for their relationship? VPN TODAY: Originally we know (Matt) James, wanted to see Jake move into the beach house and become a part of the trio, but after collaboration with (Chris) Davis and (Jay) Paterson they ultimately decided to go with Pete, will Jake still be forming a friendship with Lucy and Charlie? BLACKBURN: Definitely, I think he’s already formed one with Charlie, the two were the only guys around one another all summer and I think they became friends out of necessity, and I know Jake has a lot of stuff coming up with Lucy. VPN TODAY: Fan favourite Elizabeth Mitchell play’s Jake’s mother and Dean of Winchester, are we going be seeing much of her this season? BLACKBURN: Were going to be seeing lots of her this year as we explore Jake and who he is, I know his mom’s going to face a lot of hard choices that will lead her character towards the finale. VPN TODAY: How much of Jake’s story do you know thus far? BLACKBURN: I know where the season ends and where we find Jake when season three, if we get one starts up. VPN TODAY: In one word, Can you give us any hints? BLACKBURN: Uncertainty. VPN TODAY: Well that’s all the time he have today, Thank you very much Tyler, catch the rest of Season two of Winchester unfold and look for Tyler’s one word hint.

CASTING NEWS CW favorite, Shaun Sipos, has been booked to join the season two guest cast, Shaun will appear sooner than you think, making his first appearance in the upcoming fifth episode he will play Will's brother David Bishop, and is set to be a love interest for our leading lady, Blake Lively. When asked for a comment on the upcoming role, Series showrunner (Matthew) James had this to say "David is sort of a mess, if Will is the good brother than David is absolutely the bad one, he's dangerous, reckless and defiant against authority figures, but he does appear to have a good heart, Tracy being Tracy of course believes she may be able to help him see the error's of his way and give the bad boy a new outlook on life"
Tracy and Will shared sparks in his premiere episode but her complicated life turned Will away, will an attraction between Tracy and David lead Will to reconsider?

HIATUS END IN SIGHT! Winchester will be returning sooner than expected, after taking a break to work on the new possible upcoming series "The Fallen" and all the action that comes with it, going back to a character drama was sort of difficult, I wasn't inspired and couldn't find the voice for all the characters, it's harder to write for something when you don't see much of it anymore, most of the dramas on television often serve as my inspiration and help motivate me. But after all my current shows had finished for the year I went back and started watching early episodes of Gossip Girl and Community, and watching several college driven movies I sort of refocused that motivation. The series will be undergoing a little retooling, so expect are characters to be a little more old school versions of themselves, and maybe a little more personality with certain ones, the episodes will be re arranged a little, with the year coming to an end, the Winchester "Christmas" special will be written out for this year and our Parent's Day episode will appear not with the first episode back but second I want the first episode back to focus on the current stories that our characters are facing. The episode will heavily feature Jake, mostly away from his current girlfriend Eve, several have mentioned that he's lost a lot of character and because they got together at such a pivitol moment in Eve's life, he's basically becoming a reactive character, often trying to fix things for the broken Eve, but we will be starting to define him as his own person, traits, and motivation. The new episode will be titled "Second Chances" and will revolve around the Davis Greene storyline, like how "Family Matters" is inspired by "Parent's Day", our "Second Chances" episode is inspired by the popular "Rush" episode and will see a team up from Lucy and Jake, while Tracy deals with the fallout of her summer as she struggles to overcome the absence of Blake in her life, while Eve searches for a job at the local cafe and Maya becomes attached to Pete, who turns to Charlie for help. Lucy also struggles with loss in her own way as she fights her own habit of taking in a lonely new student with no one, Will, who reminds her of all the people she's lost in the last year. The following episode will be our "Parents Day sequel" episode that will bring our parents back to North Winchester University. Look for more news coming soon, let me know what you think or any suggestions you may have

The new episode five is now done, actually. Some spoilers for new "game changing" episode. Titled "Second Chances"
- Someone get's a job. - The episode culminates with another fire. - Several group member's become concerned when Pete begins acting oddly, James has revealed to VSGUIDE that he will indeed be suffering from some major heath problems, hint: It's not cancer. - Given the episode title a major theme running with the episode is, you guessed it "Second Chances" the line will be spoken by Lucy, while a matching indirect theme is also "Karma". - Tracy will compare Will's love of photography to that of a certain red and blue superhero. - Will, Jake, and Lucy sort of become the new Lois, Clark and Jimmy. - The resolution of the episode is inspired by one Xander Harris of Sunnydale, California. - While Jana Kramer doesn't appear at all, Josh (Charlie) appears but isn't involved with any of the direct action. - This is most screen time Jake Everett (Tyler Blackburn) has received and doesn't technically share any scene's with his on screen girlfriend Ashley Tisdale. Commenting to VSGUIDE James revealed this "We didn't realize until this episode the gift we had been given with Jake, a nosy reporter with strong moral obligations to protect those around him, turned out to be a gift, and we love the way he interacts with other character's, especially Aly, the two share a lot of banter, with him often mocking the things she does or say's, it's like the way you and your kid sister sort or argue, it's really fun to write for." - Producer's also reveal that nothing is status quote and that no couple is safe from this episode, it's been also strongly suggested that James does something he's been adamant about not doing, but revealed it probably won't be something people see coming, but will love it. But it will sort of speak true to some experiences we have in college." - Finally it's confirmed that a series regular. Keyword. Will die, even if it doesn't immediately seem like it.

LMAO thanks Alex, I was just thinking today about a return date, now that the I've done three episodes of the fallen, I want to get as far as eight before It comes back I'm presently on Seven and am going to be redirecting all my focus onto Winchester I have some awesome and fun ides for the next run of episode. As for who's getting written off let's just say it could possibly be more than two, but most likely just two at least that we know. Not going to say whether or not they are main characters or recurring And ha ha I like to think my biggest inspiration from writers are Joss Whedon and Eric Kripke, but both have a knack for killing off their characters and torturing audiences. It creates a hole that needs filling and it causes your puzzle pieces to shift around and you know what they say "you don't know whatcha got till it's gone."

WERE BACK, PLUS IS PETE IN TROUBLE!? The College drama has revealed it's official return date, which has been set for March 19th! The series went on an extended Hiatus after only airing four of it's ordered fifteen episodes, but co-series creator Matt James reveals that the series will be back and promises it will bigger and better than before.
James also revealed earlier that the characters would return to form with the next episode "It felt like the characters were drifting further and further from who they were with ever episode. So expect them to be more like themselves with the next string of episodes, with the exception of maybe Pete." Who James revealed has been his favorite character this season. "He's on a path of redemption and of course it's going to change who he is as a whole, but Pete loves throwing punches so expect some of those, but also to see some deadly consequences in regards to all that anger he bottles up."
James continued to talk about Pete and what fans will learn in regards to his new "health condition" and had this to say "since the beginning of the series I always knew I was going to want to tell this story, my story. I had originally intended to use Charlie as my voice for this" James has revealed on more than one occasion that he closely identifies with Charlie. "But in regards to consequence I felt like it wouldn't have as long lasting effects for Charlie, I mean it would bother him as he's exploring this condition than he would be fine afterwards because he's not a physically active person or an angry one, so it just gives him an excuse to be more lazy, well this condition will threaten every aspect of what and who Pete is, it will be the end of "hope" for him, it gives him a reason to hide it from the people around him, and to push him in a state we haven't really seen from Pete and he will alienate himself from those closest to him, it also gives us a reason to fear for him" Both James and Davis have often compared the character to that of One Tree Hill's Dan Scott, for those who watched the series know how Dan's search for redemption ended.

The Warehouse 13 star will appear beginning with episode seven, her character will be Margret "Maggie" Hall, and will be the series first bisexual character, much with Scagliotti other roles the character will be musically inclined, a little bit punk, and a little dark. when asked to comment on the role, series showrunenr Matthew James had this to say "If one word describes the character it's tragedy, we meet her at a very low point in her life, she's at a point in her life where she has so much pain, regret and darkness in her, and has to choose to go towards one direction or the other, we hit a similar point with Pete last season, and he chose to better himself, now what happens if someone decides to go the other way?"
