Yeah, creating your own mythology is great. I love the freedom it gives me when writing an since I'm really the only person who knows everything (because it's my own universe) it's so much easier to throw in twists and turns and hint at things that are yet to be revealed. Anything that I invest a lot of time and creative effort into is usually a totally original idea. Not to say I don't do things in a pre-established fandom from time to time. I do write fanfiction but that's generally more for when I'm stuck on original work rather than something I work on dutifully. I'd love to see more of your original ideas on the VPN after Watchtower. Mind you, Watchtower seems like it's still got a lot of story to tell, which is awesome because I love reading it

She's kind of a bitch, sometimes. I still can't believe, thinking it was the real world, she was going to kill Chloe with that knife. yeah she was really going to kill her....very bad move in my opinion.... About Emil i have a feeling that by the end of his 5 episodes he will turn out to be a good person... i think 5 episodes are fair enough to show him starting a new life path... and I'm happy he will be only a marginal character, as much as i like him, i find him a little annoying... for dinah... I'll wait to see "Watchtower" version....before giving any more judgment

I think one of the primary reasons Emil isn't the most favoured character is because he was playing the antagonist for 12 episodes, with a 'redemption' storyline threaded through that ultimately made Chloe look stupid for putting her faith in him. But, the Emil that you'll see in this season is very much the one you've seen on "Smallville." I can't say if he's good, evil, or in between, but you will be seeing him more similar to the SV version. About Dinah, I think "Prey" showed who she is. She's a fighter, and she's trusted enough by Chloe and Helena that she's considered an ally. So, yeah. I'm just going to wait and see how you take these characters in this season, you have me more excited about airing now to get your feedback. So thanks guys! And I'm glad you've stuck by the show during this long hiatus

Just a note. For those who still have questions about what Chloe did to fake her death, its touched upon more this season. That particular story does get wrapped up this year, so expect to see that play out in the coming episodes!

Just In: Bale's Big Promotion! After a succesful introduction last season, Christian Bale's "Bruce Wayne" will play a huge role this year, having just signed a contract to appear in 22 out of the full 22 episodes this season. Following the press release, Bale was kind enough to talk to VSGuide on his new promotion. "Bruce has finally stepped up to become the hero we all know he was meant to become, and that plays out all season long," Bale teased, excited for his new role this year as the Dark Knight. "Identity is a huge theme this season, and being a vigilante falls into that, so you'll definately be seeing more of Bruce in this second season." Bale concluded: "I'm very happy about being a part of every story, and I hope the fans are just as excited as I am." Allison Mack, and Justin Hartley, are the only other cast members to be back for a full season this year. ALSO JUST IN: Its official. Alaina Huffman and Julian McMahon are listed as series regulars this year, appearing in at least 11 episodes. Here's the official breakdown: Allison Mack (22 episodes) Justin Hartley (22 episodes) Kayla Ewell (18 episodes) Eliza Dushku (17 episodes) Michael McKean (20 episodes) Alaina Huffman (10 episodes) with Julian McMahon (11 episodes) and Christian Bale (22 episodes) Alaina Huffman is set to make her first appearance as a series regular in the mid-season finale: "War." She will NOT be listed as a regular until that point. The producers told VSGuide: "The first half of the season has already been mapped out, and there's no room to introduce Dinah back into the fold until mid-season." They continued telling us she'll appear in the majority of the second half. "She's contracted to appear in 10-11 episodes this season, depending on schedule." As for Julian McMahon, a recurring guest star turned regular, he is set to appear in 11 episodes this season. "Due to contract obligations, he will definately be in 11 episodes, with an option of 15. He plays a huge role in Helena's life this year, with his episodes peppered throughout the whole run of the season." So, there you have it! Watchtower returns Monday, March 28th here on the VPN at 9/8c.

i am curious to know if you have considered featuring Tess at any point considering her current watchtowery role, and joined with the big character reveal in Trinity would make for a great crossover for the character to appear in both series.

The thought has crossed my mind, and I do have a good story planned with Tess for somewhere down the road, just waiting until Smallville finishes to see where she ends up - will she be good, or evil? Will she survive? But definately. Chloe and Tess have been a highlight for me during the ninth season, and I'm planning to try and help fill in some more gaps with Chloe's transition of Smallville to Watchtower this season, even though the two don't 100% link up (like Deadshot is different on this show, Chloe and Oliver aren't married, etc).

Are you going to write the Chloe and Oliver marriage in?

I don't care either way. I'm extremely happy with the ending of "Fortune," but I'm just curious. How 'bout you?

D.D.: Are you going to write the Chloe and Oliver marriage in? Chloe/Oliver aren't married on the show, no. So I can't make them all of a sudden married. However, last season showed that Oliver had reached that stage where he wants to propose, and that will be explored THIS season. There are a lot of ways to connect the dots, and some of it will be explained throughout the season. For example, I will be mentioning her time in 'Star City' after "Fortune," and even their previous go at marriage. Unfortunately, as much as I loved the Chlollie story and how it wrapped up and Chloe's send off, I'm already halfway through season 2 (planning wise), and the first season is all finished. So there's not much I can do. But I hope you all enjoy my "Chlollie" story I've got planned, and continue to follow it nontheless.

How 'bout you? hmmm i was happy that Chloe was happy but i just think she deserves to be back for the finale, i want more of a resolution and to know exactly where she ends up, and i have a feeling they have set up for a Green Arrow spin-off which doesn't bother me but ye she neeeeds to be back i love chloe my favourite character

I did predict the vegas marriage prior to Chloe's "return" due to a revealing 'tweet' from one of the crew on set when they were filming the episode. However, it still doesn't effect the show. I will say: "Fear" does a lot of "gap filling" due to the story planned, and as we dig into Chloe's fears.

Exclusive: Scarecrow has been Cast! James Frain, whose previous credits include True Blood, and more recently, The Cape, has been booked to play the Scarecrow in the fourth episode of the season, titled: "Fear." "Jonathan [Crane] is a very complex character," Frain tells virtual wonders, "He's a very smart, but very odd man that has mastered this fear toxin to help Wayne Enterprise have more control over their buyers, and importers, basically to intimidate other companies and know how to get under their skin. Obviously this would help with huge decisions and make the company one step further than the others," the actor explains, giving us the scoop on his role in the episode. "But Bruce [Wayne] thinks its too dangerous, and decides to cancel the project." Frain tells us that the episode doesn't give much away, in terms of origins. "He becomes the scarecrow because he's been humiliated, and he wants revenge. Bruce tells him how much of a liability this project is, and so my character really shows him just how dangerous it really is." During the episode, Chloe manages to get kidnapped by this new threat - from Batman's rogue gallery in the DC Comics Universe. And as we dig into her fears, her past will become much clearer. "I've had a lot of fun filming with Allison, she's an amazing actress. She really adds these layers to her character and its a lot of fun to play off," Frain continues, "Chloe is a strong character. She's been through a lot. But her past still remains a mystery, and through all these hallucinations, I think the fans will finally get some great answers to their questions." James Frain promises that "Fear" is an episode that you shouldn't miss. "There's also a great story between Oliver and Helena as they sort of confide in each other about certain things going on in their lives. Its just an all around good episode that I was honoured to be a part of." "Fear" airs 18th of April, 2011.

Exclusive: Michael Mckean gives the Scoop on: Checkmate, Doctor Fate, and More! Playing a supporting role on the hit VPN series, Watchtower, Michael McKean fills VSGuide in on his arc in this second season, sharing his excitement for the show's return this month. "There's this looming threat that is slowly on the horizon, and as the season unwravels they'll slowly have more and more of a physical presence on the show," the actor revealed, "Perry is sort of the first person it reaches out to and you really see how much power they really have." In the closing minutes of the finale, Chloe reminded the team that Checkmate is still out there. But are they what's behind the big war coming in season two? "Checkmate will always be a global threat to heroes, and those that stand in the way of its ultimate goal, but primarily, its an aspect of these characters lives that will be dealt elsewhere [Trinity has been renewed for a second season]." As a supporting character, Perry has literally been there to support Chloe, through her job at Gotham Daily, and now, to carry her secret. How does this new information effect Perry, and his relationship with Chloe? "Well, when this threat steps into Perry's life his relationship with Chloe sort of goes up in flames," the actor teased, "its hard to understand the sacrifices we make to protect the people we love." When questioned on the fate helmet, and its influence on Michael McKean's character this season, he had this to say: "It does get addressed, and you'll really see Perry have his own control issues. The real question is: is Perry destined to be the next Dr. Fate or was he chosen for something else?" The actor concluded by telling VSGuide how excited he is about his arc this season on Watchtower. "There's a lot more bulk to it, and more time to flesh things out. Perry really gets swept up in the main storyline of the season, and isn't pushed to the side due to his lack of knowledge, or experience in the vigilante world."
