Hannibal is an upcoming American thriller television series currently in production at NBC. Developed for television by Bryan Fuller, the series is based on the series of novels by Thomas Harris and will focus on the budding relationship between FBI criminal profiler Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist destined to become Graham's most cunning enemy. The series has received a 13 episode order for its first season and, unlike most network shows, any future seasons will also feature 13 episodes. David Slade will executive produce and direct the pilot.

Not to mention the fact that Mads Mikkelsen is perfect for the role of a psychopath Hannibal and Gillian Anderson of X-Files fame is in it. I believe you can count me in three too.

Mads Mikkelsen is going to be absolutely BRILLIANT in the role of Hannibal. That soullessness in his eyes can't go wrong.
Also, Gillian Anderson. Gaah! Why didn't they just make her a regular cast member?

At the episode's end, all I could say was "wow." Such a fascinating pilot! Looking great so far.

Loved it! Brilliant direction. Great writing. Interesting characters. So many intense moments throughout this first episode, and I'm sure there's a lot more to look forward to as the series progresses. NBC really has something great here. I'm hoping they realize that.
