Plot

After hearing of her mother's death, hotshot NYC Lawyer Lea Drake is thrown through the loop. Returning to her small hometown of Star View, Rhode Island, Lea reconnects with her Aunt Teri, her Grandmother Mary, and her high school sweetheart Derek. Realizing how much stress Teri is undergoing helping Mary, Lea decides to stay and help out

Lea Drake (Potrayed by Amy Adams)

Lea Drake is a young girl who has always had a thing for helping people. A kind-hearted girl who is sweet with those who deserve it, but is tough on those who don't. She is basically the show's straight man.

Derek Arnold (Potrayed by Christian Bale)

Lea's high school sweetheart. Former bad boy who turned that around and became a pediatrician. He always has good intentions, but sometimes lets himself get a bit rude.

Teri Drake (Potrayed by Teri Hatcher)

Teri Drake is Lea's aunt, her mother's sister. She is a sweet lady who is sort of a pushover. She is always trying to protect her family no matter what. She is an unorganized scatterbrain who often lets that get in the way. Ever since her sister, Carey, died, she's been the one to take care of her grandmother.

Mary Drake (Portrayed by Betty White)

The wisecracking grandmother of Lea who always has something to say. She is a rough and tough woman who doesn't let anybody push her around. She is a former nurse from WWII and now stays at home and watches Netflix. She is the show's funny man.

EPISODES

1.01 "Star View, Rhode Island" | Hotshot NYC Lawyer Lea Drake moves back to her small hometown of Star View, Rhode Island after attending her mother's funeral and seeing how much her aunt is struggling. LINK
1.02 "Storage Wars" | Lea and Teri go down to Providence after hearing that her mother's storage unit has been put up for auction. Mary tells Derek about her glory days.
1.03 "Sister, Sister" | Lea's sister, Angela, comes to town and causes trouble with Lea and Derek.
1.04 "Business Partners" | After tasting Mary's delicious cupcakes, Lea and Mary decide to enter a baking competition where Mary's secret ingredient is revealed.
1.05 "Charged" | Mary gets assault charges against her and Lea must make a case. Teri helps Derek with a problem.
1.06 "You're Invited" | After accepting a date with Derek, Lea gets nervous and starts asking everyone for advice.

CREATOR NOTES

This is a series I have been working on for some time now. I intend to finish it up, probably tomorrow or sometime soon. I have planned the whole show, three spin-offs and all episodes out (Yeah, that long). Each season will consist of 6 episodes, and I hope you enjoy what I've come up with

David, I've been waiting for you to pitch this for AGES!! Ever since I saw the show as your 'signature', I've been wondering just what it was, and I have been eagerly anticipating you writing it!

I will say that I LOVE the characters you've cast with Teri Hatcher and Betty White, they both scream those actresses for them. Not sure about Amy or Christian in those roles, though, but that might simply be that I see Christian as Bruce Wayne, and Amy as Paula Smith, now I've started reading "Audition" finally!

You've really sat down and thought through this, and I'm sure that will come through in the story and in the characters, so you have one confirmed reader for the pilot when it's released!

I just have to look over my notes at home to finish the pitch up but my home wifi is being stupid and we are getting it fixed tomorrow so I hope that I can finish the pitch then.
