If you haven't already heard of WriterDuet, let me save your soul right now. WriterDuet is a collaborative screenwriting app for working with writing partners in real-time. Even better, it's free and in-browser. I discovered it, literally, yesterday and it works wonders for those who have writing partners and wish to collaborate on a script, in real-time. You just have to register. The process is very quick, and you don't have to pay a cent. There is a Pro version of the app for about $50, but all the features I see myself using are available in the free version. Aside from the formatting being more or less the industry standard, it even lets you import/export to Final Draft, for even further tweaking and editing. This site is a godsend for me, and I just wanted to spread the word.

I just found it a few days ago when Celtx's online version and its lack of page breaks made me furious. I was looking for help on the net when I found a forum where someone suggested WriterDuet instead of Celtx. I don’t want to sing odes to this site but I really want to! Easy to use, works smoothly, the only script writer that didn’t start to annoy me right on the first day. So I use this – when I’m writing at home – together with the Celtx mobile app – when I’m not at home, and I’m the happiest writer on this side of the globe right now.

Cool, I might check this out. I'm currently collaborating with Jon Van Pelt on a project, well I say collaboration, it's more like "he writes, I edit and give a few re-writes", but the app might come in handy.
