First: I am not the biggest fan of zombies.
Second: Kudos for trying to create an original take on the genre.
It’s the first few pages of a script that’ll take you in or out of the story. Your teaser definitely peaked my interest. A nice introduction to this world you’ve created, although I have to admit I wasn’t a big fan of Helen’s end. Having her being bitten by a zombie was perhaps a bit too obvious. I’d have her put a bullet through her head just to show how desperate the situation has become. The world is lost forever. That kind of feeling.
Writing a pilot episode is never easy since you have to introduce your main cast, show us ‘viewers’ the potential of the series while at the same time creating a story that can more or less stand on its own two feet. I think you’ve succeed with this one. I liked the dynamic between Julie and Ryder, the possible conflict between (rivaling) camps and the mysterious Skull Faces –which, for some reason, made me wonder if you’re injecting some kind of Mad Max-vibe into the show.
Overall: 7/10 for me.

Hello everyone, this show is coming back up. I'm going to be producing it as a Webisode Series now. And I have written a new pilot. So, here is the link. Hope you all enjoy it! (Link will also be updated in original pitch & new pitch will be edited to reflect changes to the series) 1x01: The World We Used to Know (Pilot Draft 2)ENTER INTO WORLD RULED BY THE DEAD — After a deadly virus breaks out and cities all across the world fall into chaos, Julie Evans (Katie Cassidy) tries to make through it all to get to her baby sister Caitlyn (Dove Cameron). With the aid of former flame, Ryder Ford (Brian J Smith), They fight their way through city to make sure they find a way out. But when the unexpected happens, they are faced with a problem bigger than getting out of Boston alive. Link: Survival 1x01

I checked it out and I can honestly say that I enjoyed it. I know that some people look at the negatives and kind of pull it apart and for the main reason I don't really know how to pull apart what sounds good and what doesn't sound good - That being said again I hope it gets picked up and I'm glad it's webisode format because that will make it easier to stay up to date. Can't wait to see where this goes.

But sometimes you need the negatives pointed out just so you know what needs to be fixed, what could be changed and stuff like that. But lets hope it does, I have a lot in my mind planned so it's going to be fun to see what comes of this series as well.

I've had people point out negatives to me over the course of my non-existent VS history and I think that was the reason I never pushed forward. And I think that sometimes I stopped because I never thought I could get better and I have to say that I don't know if I actually got better - I'm still learning and it helps when you have people to help you. It's kind of intimidating to get all this praise of Bionic's opening episode - because I'm hoping that I can keep the story going and I won't be a bigger disappointment.

Honestly, tell the story you want to tell and make it the best that you can. And I've been doing this for a while but honestly, I'm still learning every day. Just take all the advice you can and use that to your advantage.
