The VPN Official Description: WELCOME TO WINCHESTER BAY - A small town is engulfed in the midst of murder investigation, from the moment Jake Farrell (Christian) and his mother (Weil) arrive in town. Things heat up for Jake when he decides to help the school Newspaper editor (Morgan) return the failing Winchester Tribune to its former glory. Along the way, Jake reunites with his independent and headstrong cousin Lucy (Phipps) and makes friends with the beautiful but tragic Tracy Vargas (Mendes), the brilliant but socially awkward Charlie Matthews (Minnette), and enemies with the school's cruel football star Pete Jensen (Drameh). Death hangs over Winchester Bay, and a killer walks amongst it's populous. A wolf in sheep's clothing and anyone could be his or her next victim. Sarah Hyland also stars.

Charlie (Minette) and Lucy (Phipps) commiserate over the absence of a mother in each of their lives, while an emotional Eve (Hyland) offers Pete (Drameh) an olive branch. Annie (Weil) meets History teacher Josh Ryan. Maya (Morgan) discovers a clue that could finally help the Tribune team get a handle on why Shane died.

Lucy (Phipps) is surprised when her mother Jessica (guest star Neve Campbell) reappears in town. Tracy (Mendes) and Eve (Hyland) find themselves living together and starting fresh on their former friendship. Annie (Weil) questions her decision to move herself and Jake (Christian) to Winchester Bay. Maya and Pete (Drameh) face down Sheriff Hill as he also delves deeper into the circumstances behind recent events. Dylan Minnette also stars. Maddie Hasson does not appear in this episode.
