REALM

SYNOPSIS

Thirteen years ago, a scientist named Thomas Malloy (John Noble) rediscovered the secret art of Astral Projection (The ability to have an out of body experience while asleep). Since then, his research and followers have grown, but as others sought to learn his secrets, they began to slip into the wrong hands. Malloy's once loyal student, Michael Foster (Eric Mabius) developed the skills needed to achieve astral projection and once inside the dream world, he constructed a realm in which he held dominion over. When the U.S. Government learned of this, they hunted Foster... but never found him. Some think he's dead, others believe he is simply hiding from the real world, in order to rule in his own.

Now, when signs that the real world and the realm Foster created are colliding into one, a government task force called Protocol 67, run by Dr. Thomas Malloy, begins a search for more individuals with the potential to astral project, in hopes of combating the inevitable war between the world as we know it and the unknown.

This story follows Jason Driver (James Franco), an average California resident, who has just become Protocol 67's new candidate. When confronted by Thomas Malloy, who informs him of the upcoming war and the part he must play in it, the care free life as he knew it is changed forever as Foster is on the brink of revealing himself again. Will he be willing to train his mind to enter the dream realm and defend his world?

CHARACTERS

Jason Driver (Portrayed by James Franco)
The main protagonist of the series, Jason Driver is a graduate student, residing in the city of Los Angeles when he's bombarded a mission only he can complete. Jason is smart, witty and a born leader. His dream is to become a brilliant neuro-scientist one day but this theories never get noticed, mostly because they seem unprovable. But what he doesn't know is that his theory are all too real and that his mind will by the only thing standing in the way of Earth's domination.


Khloe Sparks (Portrayed by Jennifer Garner)
Khloe Sparks was determined and skilled ex-FBI Agent. She was kicked off the force when she began to experience vivid dreams, causing her work to slip. Ever since then, she swore to find answers for why this is happening to her. That's when she was approached by Dr. Malloy, who told her she's one among many people who have the mind power to astral project.

Hey So I really like this idea! I know you have a tendency to create series and not do them but DO THIS ONE! This premise is good! Nice strong cast with new faces for the VPN I think this could work! Cannot wait for more!

Thanks Brian. The show still has some major kinks we have to work out. The plot, characters, and overall series is still in the developing stage so, many things will be altered.

Both Jason and I have our hands full at the moment, but we do want to produce this show and think we'll have that time to do so in the new year or two. I know, that may seem like a long time but, it takes a while to make a great show, and that's what we're hoping to accomplish with this

Oh goodness! Astral Projection! I LOVE astral projection! I am so excited to see someone utilize it in a story. I read everything and I like it so far. Kind of has a, Tron feel to it, what with creating another world, or in this instance, usurper control over an existing one. I fathom that this will be a story that easily grasps reader's attentions because you have the right to create one world, and work with one already preexisting. John Noble is one of my favorite actors of all time, (Probably the reason I was SO in LOVE with Fringe when I saw the first episode. XD) I look forward to reading more of this when it arrives. I am a Paranormal/Abnormal major, if you want some information dropped your way from my text books, I can totally collaborate with you. ^^ I really do hope that you guys create this. Or are working on it.

Thank you Monica! Astral Projection has always interested me. When Chris and I came up with this idea, we knew it would take LOADS of researching and studying, and while production for "Realm" has been slow, due to Trinity & Archangel, we know that we will continue to develop this series, because we believe that it can be a hell of a show.

The cast is actually going to be remodeled one of these days but, just so you know, John Noble will not be recast He's an AMAZING actor and pretty perfect for the role he will play in "Realm."

You're a Paranormal/Abnormal major? Now that's interesting. I never even knew there was such a thing, though I'm not in college yet Also, we'd LOVE to be treated with some information on the subject of astral projection and such, it would only help with the show's development, and since we expect that once we get this pilot done, our readers will be extremely intelligent, we want to get this right!
