Interview with Cory Montieth: The Man She Trusts VPN: We're here with Cory Montieth who plays Henry Reynolds on the hit VPN Drama 'The Path Not Taken'. So Cory, you came into the Path mid first season. What was that like? Cory: It was a bit weird because of the fact I came into a show that was already halfway done. The cast already had this great connection. I knew Nina, she was a close friend of mine and joining this project with her and meeting new people was great. VPN: Now as for the character Henry, how can you relate to him? Cory: Henry is such a great character, he's perfect and awesome. But sometimes he's too perfect. Brian has said he's going to go deep into Henry's past in the mid-season finale of the Second Season with flashback episode. And that is going to be hard for me because I had a past with drugs and bad history, but it's a great story Brian has and it really brings Henry and Jenny's relationship to a boiling point. VPN: A flashback episode? What's that going to be like? Cory: It's the mid-season finale and Brian says to both Nina and I that it's going to be focused on us because of the events that have been happening with Christy, and those scene with Kate are so much fun because you kinda get hints of Henry's 'dark days' and I get to work with this great actress. But as for the flashbacks, they'll be done a little better then the flashback episode from season one with Jenny's father. VPN: Going into Season Two, what was it like? After Season One, Brian was afraid that he wouldn't come back. The Path is is first successful show on the VPN to actually reach a season finale and also get a second season. How did you feel coming in this season. Cory: It was crazy! When we shot the last scene of season one, Brian said this could be our last day. But when I got the call that we were coming back I got excited! He told me last season his plans for Henry and Jenny and I was super excited for the show to develop. Jack Malone even said that it feels like a 'new show' and it really is! The writing has changed a lot, his stories are planned out and are executed beautifully to me. VPN: If you could do one thing on The Path, what would it be? Cory: I kinda want to play the drums. But I did sing in the Premiere episode. I don't know if it will make the final cut but I did sing. I sang 'Hello I love you' to Jenny at the Rosemount Talent Night. VPN: Do you have any other juicy spoilers for the second season? It seems very great so far. Cory: The second part of the season is gonna be really good. Part of it is the "The Father Chapter" where we learn who Jenny's real father is which lasts from the seventh episode to the tenth episode. The eleventh and twelfth episode are the "The Henry and Jenny Chapter" which continues on into the next season from what Brian tells me. The first six episodes are called the "The Life Chapter". It's gonna be good. VPN: Thank you for stopping by Cory, we can't wait for the Season Premiere this fall.

INTERVIEW WITH JESSICA ALBA: THE FRIEND VPN: We are back with another interview with one of Jenny Hart's best friends, who plays Mellie Seaver, Jessica Alba. Jessica it's great to have you. So let me start off by saying, you've been on this project since it's first inception. What's that like? Jessica: It's been a long ride for the show to get to where it is today! I was in the first original Pilot as Mellie and I worked with Felicia Day who was originally going to portray Jenny, but that changed to due scheduling conflicts and then Nina was casted. And after Paul Walker left and we got Cory, I can really be happy to say that I am proud to be the original one left! VPN: Can you tell us what the original incarnation of 'The Path' was like? Jessica: It really just focused on Jenny, Brian's original plans just focused on her and Mellie and Henry were just there. But as the show started to get re-developed, it really kinda didn't just focus on Jenny but the other characters around her which I feel the show is about. It's like you have all these great characters and you can create these stories that effect them all in one way. VPN: Now you're entering Season two and your character was involved in a bit of a cliffhanger! What can you tell us about that? Jessica: Mellie and Chris are kinda in the 'Honeymoon Phase' they're all lovey dovey and Chris proposing, Mellie did not see that coming. VPN: How's that story line going to play out in the season premiere? Jessica: In the premiere, we learn weather or not Mellie gave Chris an answer within the first five minutes. I don't want to say anything but it's a great story for the season. VPN: The second episode of the season, has been spoiled as "Mellie Centric". Care to explain on that? Jessica: It is a Mellie centric episode! We get to learn a little bit more about Mellie! Her parents come to town and she kinda has a big moment that defines her for the rest of the season and possibly for the rest of the series. Mellie finally learns that she has to stand up and speak out, and there are some repercussions with that and it's very dramatic. VPN: Is it true that the season is ending with a wedding? Jessica: My lips a sealed. VPN: Well Jessica, it's been great talking to you. The Path returns this Fall, Thursdays at 8.

Hey guys here's a little update on the Path, I have written 3 episodes of Season Two so far. I've been REALLY busy with getting my job together and college as well. I'm gonna try and get more done. I have a script editor now and I hope to hear from them soon! So it's coming along, but very slowly.
Also a big progress, the Third Season is now in it's planning stages so now I know where I want this season to lead to so I can officially say that Season Two is going to be moving a lot faster now

SPOILERS: Edition OneA big spoiler this season is the overall arc for Jenny. Last season she had finally overcame her drinking addiction. But towards the close of the season, she learned that the man she thought was her father, wasn't. And she and Brad had one final confrontration resulting in Brad's death. This season, Jenny will deal with trying to figure out who her real father is. And also, one of the big things is, Jenny will be faced with this question "Am I a Killer?". This is going to be huge as the first half of the season deals with the aftermath of Brad and Jenny's guilt towards it. As the second season, will focus on Jenny trying to find her Father, and let me say, it's a huge one.

A Fight. A Trial. And a Return
With production finally resuming on "The Path Not Taken", creator Brian Melanson gives us some juciy spoilers for what is to come. "As for this season, we see a character hit rock bottom with not only her personal life but with her family life" He goes on "Many of our characters will be happy at the beginning of the season, but come towards the mid-season finale, many of our characters will be in a very dark and lonely place."
Production is currently on Episode Four and it's a big one according to the actors. Jennifer Love Hewitt is excited because "it's a great development for her character Alyson, we see her in a new place this season" Brian went on to describe. And if you thought you've seen the last of Brad...you're wrong. Christopher Gorham was spotted last week on set. Could this be the return of Brad? Or something else entirely?
Also in Episode Four, Jenny goes to Trial to be a witness in Brad's crime. "It's what I like to call 'Closure for Jenny', because she is feeling like she's the killer and that she should be locked up."
And one more surprise for you fans, Brian will be in talks with VPN heads to get a release date ready for the Path. Brian hopes for it to be Mid February.
