"If I have as much power as you think I do... do you really want to test it?"

Yes, Power Rangers had movies. The first one: "Power Rangers: The Movie" and "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie." The first one was not in continuity with the tv show, but it was still a good film. Ivan Ooze was a really funny villain. The the sequel, wich WAS in continuity, was weird. Rocky was a injured, a space femme named Divatox tries to marry a demon (you know, for kids!) and a 10-year-old boy becomes as the blue ranger. It was okay, what with the return of Kimberley and Jason. But seriously, a demon? IN A KIDS MOVIE?!

Both movies were great, in my opinion. The first one may have been non-canon, but they did carry a few things over into the rest of the series of Mighty Morphin. Ivan Ooze was pretty cool, an asshole, but cool none-the-less. Despite being considered "for kids", it's one of my favorite movies to be honest. Maybe because it holds a certain place in my heart from my childhood.
Turbo is a really great movie, also, but quite honestly it was aimed more towards teenagers. Yes, Power Rangers carries that "kid show" thing with it, but the Turbo movie had more "grown up" elements in it. Divatox marrying a demon in order to harness his power was the LEAST of the "issues". Divatox's uniform is also a huge nod towards it "growing up" in that it was a VERY revealing costume considering the circumstances. They "dumbed it down" and gave her less of a revealing costume that concealed her cleavage in the show's continuation of the movie, but in the actual film...there was cleavage everywhere.
I actually really loved Turbo, and Divatox became my favorite Power Rangers villain, ever. Her and Lord Zedd are pretty much on the same level as far as I'm concerned, with Rita Repulsa directly under them.

This first PR movie was fun, but Turbo lost the feel of a decent PR adventure. Rita and Zedd were wasted in Turbo in a lousy cameo. The main monster in the second film would be reused as Dark Specter for PRiS.

Rita and Zedd were a cameo because the movie wasn't about them. It was about Divatox and bringing in the next "evolution" of the Rangers -- Turbo.
