Angel of Darkness

Alana Brownlie is a normal girl, except for the fact that she's vampire. Not a "Grrrr, I want to kill you" vampire. A nice one. Which is kinda difficult since her dad is the local vampire king and is plotting a takeover. When she meets up with a group of vampire hunters who want to stop her dad, Alana decides to help him, but has to hide her true nature in the process.

CHARACTERS

Lacey Turner as Alana Brownlie

Alana is the 1100-year old vampire princess of Britain. Except, she doesn't want to be. She is a nice, good-natured person, which is ironic since her parents have raised her to butcher people. When she finally decides to lave home, she runs into a group of vampire hunters who want to bring her dad and his "kingdom" down. Joining the hunters, while hiding her true origins, Alana feels she has finally found a true purpose and a way to do good in the world.

Scott Maslen as Eric Vale

Eric is the leader of the group. He is a tough captain with a personal vendetta against the vampire king. His past remains shrouded in mystery and he may or may not be in love with Alana.

Kieron Richardson as Jordan Hamilton

Jordan is the magic expert of the group. His comes from a long line of Mages dating back to Atlantis. He hasn't faced many vampires as he is fairly new to the group and is currently in a relationship with Tony

Gareth David-Lloyd as Tony Pace

Tony is the quiet, book-wormy type of the group. He is always researching new bad guys that the group comes face to face with and eventually becomes Alana's new bff.

Neil McDermott as Bruce Brownlie

Alana's father! The vampire king! A very powerful 10,000-year old being who is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Even if it means staking his own daughter.

The wicked stepmother! Melissa is determined to get her good little step-daughter out of the picture so that, when Bruce takes over, she will rule as queen without competition

Can we please refrain from comments/feedback like this? Saying "not to be rude" doesn't really erase that fact that the comment is rude and quite uncalled for. This isn't really "constructive" criticism, which is what we try to give here on the VPN. We want this to be a friendly, helpful environment and such blatantly negative comments like that take away from what we're trying to do here. If you don't like it, detail exactly why. Don't just say it "sucks", that's really discouraging.

On that note, I do feel the pitch is underdeveloped and maybe a little cliche, but it's nothing that you can't work with. Try to flesh it out a bit and give us some more information, bring us into the story a little more. It doesn't "suck" by any means, just needs a little more work is all. Good luck!

Hayden, with little respect – who are you to judge? We've all been there, we've all thought of a good idea and just haven't figured out how to make it completely original or develop it into something we can call our own. I do have to agree with Aimee, the pitch is undeveloped, and could be a little "samey", but improvement is what your ideas and our ideas are for.

I personally like the fact that more and more British actor/tresses are being introduced on this website, most frequent the EastEnders cast members, ie. Lacey, Charlie and Scott – however, this pitch could have promise. But the first thing I would work on, is to develop this into your own pitch, because we've all seen the "vampire and hunter falls in love" before – but I definitely feel this has a good potential.

Good luck with it – and just ignore Hayden, that was immature and rude.

To add to my previous post, I would probably change Neil McDermott, only because he played a lover of Lacey on EastEnders, and because they look fairly the same age – I know vampires are immortal and don't age, I would just refer him as her sibling or friend – just a bit of plain advice, but seriously. Hey Danielle, here's my thoughts. I like supernatural shows and I can definitely see some potential here. I agree that, yes, the pitch is undeveloped, but it's still a great starting point. I think you have some really good original ideas here. Yes, it's true the forbidden love between a vampire and hunter has been done before, but a vampire joining the vampire hunters under a guise in an attempt to overthrow her father really hasn't especially with it being one of the "main" plots. I'm sure we could compare it to Damon and the Founders but in all actuality that was never a striving part of that show, and he was there to listen in, and guide, not start a war. I have to agree about some of the casting. When I did up that poster for you I did find an image with 3 of the actors together, and it was a promo for another show. IMO, I think casting two people from the same show is okay, I mean it happens on TV all the time, but when you get into 3 or more its hard to picture them as these new characters and not the characters they portrayed on the other show... does that make sense? I'm really intrigued with the "stepmother" angle here. I think that would be a great starting point in developing this story further. It's very Snow White / Cinderella but with VAMPIRES which makes it that much better! I also like the Mages and Atlantis idea. I'd like to see more of that. As for some of the rudeness displayed on this thread, I feel ashamed, I'd like to apologize because honestly that's not what this community is about. I know how it feels when you read something like that but please don't get discouraged, or toss this idea away because honestly I think the initial idea is great, and all it needs is a little more development.
