After moving to Chicago to find herself, Kate Lockley loads up her gun with wooden bullets and aims at some vampires. She starts her own squad of vampire slayers. Even if they aren't the most competent people, they still manage to get the job done. Cast Elisabeth Rohm as Kate Lockley After moving to Chicago, Kate is still tough as nails and hardcore. Even after being fired from the police department, she still protects people from bad people... make that bad things. She starts the evil fighting squad using her codename, Deadlock. Mercedes McNabb as Harmony Kendall After leaving Angel and Hamilton with the words "May the best man win!" Harmony is still vapid, still shallow, and still 18. She hops on a flight to Chicago (Night Flight, of course) and is recruited onto Lockley's team under the alias of Bitemark. Mark Lutz as Groosalugg "Groo" When we last saw Groo, he left Cordy after realizing she was in love with Angel. He gained a vast knowledge of computers and technology. A spider demon killed his best friend. He started tracking this demon. He moved to Chicago when he found that the spider demon he was tracking was nesting there. One night, when he went to destroy it, he ran into Lockley. She recruited him under the alias of Circuit Jensen Ackles as Vance Lawton Child of a Vampire and a Slayer. Bad Attitude, but good work ethic. He follows through with all he says he will. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He joins Kate's team under the name Pickpocket. Episodes 1x01 Pilot: Kate assembles a crack team after the death of her sister at the hands of a vampire. Groo and Harmony are happy to apply. 1x02 Cats Have Nine Lives: After killing a demon, Kate thinks things are fine. But when the demon comes back, she knows something's up. Groo and Harm infiltrate a vampire nest. 1x03 This Ring of Mine: Spike rolls into town in broad daylight, on a motorcycle. He's found the gem of amarra. Kate and Groo work out a heist to steal a priceless artifact that could revive Kate's sister. 1x04 Pickpocket: When a man roles into town claiming to be Angel's son, things happen. Kate recruits him for the team. Harm gets sloppy as her Bitemark persona is revealed to a CPD officer. 1x05 Set in the Past 1x06 Drusilla 1x07 Have You Seen This Girl? 1x08 Fugitive 1x09 Locked In 1x10 Lockley Sisters This Idea is Chris Davis' but he gave me permission to produce it

While I think this idea would be a very creative spin-off of the popular Joss verse, I'm not sure how I feel about this actually going into development especially since I see soooo many Buffy/Angel spinoffs. While having familiar characters is fun and all I'm not sure how I see this cast fitting together, especially working with Kate. That is just my initial thought, but if it is well done and explained right it may work.
Also having somebody being the child of a vampire and a vampire slayer puts me on edge. Angel and Buffy were UNHEARD OF being together and it was unprecedented. Perhaps just half vampire or something might be better.
*edit*
Also, I'm not a big fan of everyone having code names. It is too super heroey. And yeah that is a word XD.

Yeah, I have to agree with what Kerry said. The problem with using a universe that has already been established, there are some guidelines to follow, and with you having an adult male who was born from a vampire and slayer that doesn't fit. Connor on Angel was an exception because Angel won a "new life" for a dying Darla, but unfortunately Darla already got a second life so Connor was born from that "new life" won. But other then that, in Joss's verse, a vampire being any part of the conception of a child is unheard of, which there lies the dilemma. My thoughts: I think you should try and find a way of making this idea an original one and step away from the Jossverse altogether. Also the pitch is a little too undeveloped for me, I'd like to see you build more on it, and give a little bigger of a synopsis of what your VS is about. Really paint a picture, but with words. MJ has created a fantastic .PDF that you should take a look at: HERE It's got great tips and tricks on getting the most out of your pitch. XD I see potential here, I really do. You just need to flush out your ideas a little better.

on kerry's comment about buffy and angel, I never said it was them. I believe she was using them as an example. The whole Buffy and Angel fiasco and all of that, regarding a slayer and a vampire being together.

I agree with Kerry and Darrin about the vampire, having a child thing. I mean, that was a plot I really didn't like on Angel, and I'm not sure if that's something that should be re-created. Overall, I like the idea of Kate Lockely having her own show... obviously. But, I think this idea needs a little reworking, like all good ideas do.

Obviously this man is not their child because of how old he is, therefore him existing was...not very good in my mind. I like having Kate, but I think her supporting cast needs to be somebody other than all old Joss characters.
