I think Tony is actually right here I am sorry to say. I know you made some differences but you still essentially have the Trio of kids who help the slayer out and a school employee who is the watcher. There is still the one boy character who is pining away for the slayer, etc.
I think what I am trying to say is that a radically different way of approaching the slayer lore would be better than a somewhat tweaked version of the original show. You haven't done a bad job by any means. I would just like to see a bigger gap between BtvS and Slayer. This is a good start and I will give the pilot a read.

I of course love spin-offs since my show is one! I just know that many times it can be difficult to actually create something fresh and new.
It seems the best ideas for spin-offs seem to come from when characters get their own show.
For example : the show Frasier was a spin-off from Cheers. They took a beloved character from the parent and put him in his own world with new characters and it was a hit.
I took Rose from Doctor Who and put her in her own world with new things and Jack did that for Chloe and Chris did that for Lana. I personally think it is a very good way to go and it catches the reader's interest cause they see character in a new way.
As for continuations I am slightly more meh about them. It seems they are best when the show ended prematurely (like Firefly) instead of being fully completed.

21 Pages on Bad Wolf! I'm going to try to finish ACT 2 tonight, but if not I will tomorrow. As of right now I got farther on this version of episode 6 than I did on the first one.
*edit*
Make that 26 pages and I just finished Act 2!

Meeting Lianne actually kick starts the chain of events that begins the the next episode so it will be a really big deal. I can't wait to see how you react to it.
And don't worry I catch myself typing Doctor too.

I love that there is still somebody out there enthusiastic about what I am writing! It really makes my day to see stuff like this so , thank you.
I will address what you said about Rose never hearing of Lianne and I should probably explain it a bit more somehow. It was due to the fact Rose has grown into a somewhat more mature adult with a very demanding job so she doesn't exactly know all the teenybopper stars...and Lianne is exactly like that.
For the longest time I couldn't point out Justin Bieber to anyone (sadly I now can), but if I had to point out somebody in One Direction? Forget it. That is the only reason why she didn't know.
As far as the next episode is concerned, I have gotten out of my writing slump very recently so the next one should be up soon and the rest of the season to follow.

Mid Season Finale- Revamped Production of Bad Wolf halted for several months due to conflicts as well as technical difficulties. The previous plans for for the would be mid-season finale "Game World" were changed in this week and the new untitled episode is well underway. The VS Guide caught up with the Director and Creator, Kerry Burkett, and asked her some questions about the upcoming episode. VS Guide: Why did you decide to change the episode? Kerry: The original episode was very action packed and really didn't expand on the characters or their development. It wasn't working out well and needed to be changed to help the flow of the season. VS Guide: How different is the story? Kerry: Well the original story focused on action in a place called "Game World" where John was sentenced to be. However, this episode focuses around the trial that was skipped in the previous draft of the episode and deals more with the characters and how they feel about it instead of lots of fighting. VS Guide: What do we have to look forward to in the story? Kerry: There will still be similar plot twists and we still meet Benedict Cumberbatch's character, Senator Valtteri. We learn a little more about Garrick and the mystery that surrounds him, the universe they are currently in, and to top it off there will be some court-room drama. The episode will air once it has finished production to bridge the gap until the second half of the season is complete. Now is the perfect time to catch up on the first run of the show or voice your opinion on its upcoming return.

I'm up to 12 pages on Bad Wolf 1x06 and I only started yesterday. I'm very pleased with how it is going so far and I hope it will continue to come so easily....however I have realized that I need to re-name it now that it has been re-worked.

I like that you have put in a lot of effort into this pitch and it really shows that you care. This kinda of show is not usually my sort of thing, but I will definitely give your pilot and read when you post it. Nice work.

Review - Hellbound - 1x02 Bringer of Light
I love the opening here with James. the descriptions are very nice and I can visualize everything fairly well. It is good seeing him when he wasn't in the pilot episode. JEREMY IS BACK and I am thrilled. What can I say? XD.
The exchange between these two friends is wonderful. I wish he hadn't died. DANGIT GUYS WHY? I want to see more of him ARG!
Oooh I really wanna know the "her" James is searching for. So many mysteries in these opening episodes.
And now we know what the orb was. A light bringer, very apt considering the title of the episode. We have some nicely written fighting going on here with James and Neil, nothing to complain about in that scene at all. And now we know why James is different from the rest of the vampires and why they don't get along. They brought up she again. I wanna know the she!
Poor James didn't get to Jeremy in time...but he is able to save Alyson, which is good. I hope to see a fun relationship and friendship there since I am robbed of Jeremy...I'm seriously not forgiving you guys.
This second episode I absolutely loved. I liked seeing things from James' perspective and it moved very smoothly. Great pacing and great descriptions. It answered some questions and opened up more. I am excited for the next episode. Great Job you guys!!

Review Hellbound 1x01 - Whispers in the Dark
As promised I read the pilot for this series and I have to say it was a pretty decent way to start the series. The beginning with Jeremy was my favorite part of the whole thing. I'd read a serious about that guy alone. For Real....sadly he is dead.
With the introduction of Alyson I am go to again commend on casting. I think you two picked some great actors to play your characters. I was a little disappointed when we first meet her because it seemed like the typical rogue cop who gets in trouble sort of thing. However, I am extremely intrigued by the stuff with her mom. I am reserving my feelings on this character until I see more. I think she will grow on me.
Very little is done with James here and I definitely want to see more with him since he obviously plays a key role in the series. I am certainly going to keep up with the series to see how it unfolds because while I have my reservations about this eppy I know it is only 12 pages and I have the feeling it is going to shift into something extremely creative and new. Good work guys. Second review coming soon.

I just finished my Firefly/Serenity rewatch Chris....exactly a week ago, weird. Anyway, I thin you could figure out to do a movie quite well. Good luck with what you choose to do and enjoy Joss Whedon's 'verse.

Review/Commentary for Little Red 1x01 - The Howling
Wow, your teaser. I'm just going to start there because your descriptions are beautiful. You don't use to many words to get the point across, which would be an issue, but you pick just the right words to get it done. You paint quite a lovely picture for the reader.
I like the introduction of Ethel, she is very mysterious and I believe that to be her purpose in the story. I can't wait to see what comes of her moving to the small town.
I have to commend you on your casting next. Helena Bonham Carter is amazing for the role I suspect she will be playing, but Anthony Stewart Head is too. I can just imagine him playing the exasperated father in this scene with him and Audrey. In particular I love the part when their fight is over and they hug and he tells her that he has tried to stay mad at her and it doesn't work. I love that it is wonderful.
It could be the fact I love him so much that makes it easy to picture, but I really think you chose you character's actors well. Sarah Bolger I haven't seen in much until Once Upon a Time, but now that I see her in things I love her too as the main character.
Oh dear Malven has arrived and I believe with trouble to shake up the story, I wonder what it is. And how he talks of Renwick and Audrey I kinda wish I could see what they do to play hero before that makes him cautious to tell them anything. It certainly does establish the fact they are likely to go out and do something, but I'm curious now dangit.
I like the voice over part with Hunter and the council I believe you handled that very well.
Awe was Hunter not what everyone said? That's sad I see he is a supporting character so I am sure I am about to know more once I stop typing and keep reading. Good twists and such MJ. Oh good she let him go, I figured she would.
Oh dang I wasn't expecting that ending. How could you end it so soon whyyy? Ug I shall have to wait.
So I suppose I should sum up this attempt at a review. I enjoyed the script 100% Your descriptions are wonderful and not too wordy, you carried the story at a good pace and left me wanting more when you stopped. I also would like to point out that while I was afraid the old-timey language structure would come off as stilted, it totally didn't! AWESOME JOB!! I love what you are doing and keep up the good work!
