Elementary stars Jonny Lee Miller as detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson in a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD's most impossible cases. Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, eccentric Sherlock escapes to Manhattan where his wealthy father forces him to live with his worst nightmare - a sober companion, Dr. Watson, a successful surgeon until she lost a patient and her license three years ago. Watson views her current job as another opportunity to help people, as well as paying a penance. However, the restless Sherlock is nothing like her previous clients. He informs her that none of her expertise as an addiction specialist applies to him and he's devised his own post-rehab regimen - resuming his work as a police consultant in New York City.

So, yeah, I actually fairly enjoyed the pilot. It was tons of fun! The two leads have great chemistry and they play off of each other very well. Not the best, but it hooked me enough to follow the show. For now. XD Hopefully it won't spiral downhill, because this has tons of potential. Like, tons. I recommend!

I loved this show!! I thought the dialogue was superb, and like Brady said the chemistry between Holmes and Watson was fantastic! I'm in this one for the long haul.

So far watched the opening 2 episodes, and mostly due to the fact I love Sherlock Holmes and couldn't resist checking it out. Miller I'll admit adds that bit of agitated mind to the character who finds it hard to sit still in one place without his mind going hundred miles per hour and is an intriguing version of the character.
I'm still not stuck on Liu as Watson though, and think she needs more work on her as so far we know little about her still. I'm gonna stick with it and see how it goes no matter what as is Sherlock Holmes afterall. The interaction between the two still needs work also I feel, as it's all over the place at times and still don't feel that connection between them.
Oh, and the 2nd episode. Sorry, but I figured out the killer and how it was done pretty early one when we first saw the character. Maybe I'm just too clever for it. ;D

Missed last weeks episode, so I streamed it last night. I have to say this show is definitely sticking. I love the humor, and the mystery of the "whose done it", and the feeling I get after the big reveal at the end. I'm with Steve on this one, I figured out the killer early on and how she was getting away with it, but it didn't take away from the enjoyment of the episode for me. I have to disagree on Lucy Liu though. I think she's making a fanastic Watson because she's not your conventional Watson yet still providing that element of reality check and companionship for Holmes. I don't know. All I do know is this show is fanatastic and I'm sticking with it, for reals.
