The news about Allison Mack not being a regular in S10 is out...could you give us some spoilers or something to cheer us up? The Watchtower spin-off is the only thing I'm looking forward right now.

Not sure how much more I can spoil yet. There'll be a LOT after the Monday Night Series Premiere including 1-2 preview clips for the second episode, a trailer for the following weeks episode, and possibly an interview with some spoiler-y goodies; possibly with Justin Hartley

I have so much to say about this episode. I give it a good 8/10. I'm really impressed, it's very well written and I just LOVED it. First I want to talk about Perry/Chloe, I just love their banter, they have that kind of relationship that reminds you of a father/daughter one. I love that Perry is pushing her into her job as a reporter because I felt like she doesn't remember the reasons why she loved it some much. Amanda Waller/Perry White knowing each other? Did not see it coming...I'm hoping to see how they got to know each other, why Amanda Waller wants to kep an eye on Chloe and why she's using Perry out of all the people to get informations. I always said that Bruce Wayne was a very complex character and I'm happy that you've shown him that way. He's very dark in this first episode and his needs of revenge is deep. I'm not sure how I feel about Chloe/Bruce so I won't say anything about them yet. I'll wait to see what happens next between them.I did like his conversation with Oliver even if it was short. I'd like to see more Oliver/Bruce dialogue. Chloe is a leader all the way and I love it. She's the one in charge and I wouldn't have it another way. I have so much questions like why did she leave Smallville/Metropolis in the first place? What happened between Chloe and Oliver? There's this huge bridge between them but you can totally feel the tension when they are in the same room. I want to see more of them. Helena is a total bitch in this episode but I'll forgive her because she's young and lived somethng very dramatic. Loosing your family can make you very cold and dark. She appears to be a young version of Bruce because. They kinda have the same history. They both lost their family, they both are out for revenge and revenge is clouding their judgments. I'd like to see a scene between them and maybe having Bruce become some sort of mentor to her later. Emil is a badass. I hope we'll see flashbacks which will explain why he became this villain with no remorses and no regrets, why Chloe became his first ennemy. He seemed to be a little obsessed with her and it's not good. What happened to him? Overall it was a very good episode and I'm excited to see more. I feel like I'm watching Lost because I'm left with so much questions hanging.LOL

I loved it, I love Chloe & Oliver, I can't wait to see you develop their relationship, also can;t wait to see where you take her (what I hope will only be) friendship with Bruce Wayne. Loved the Huntress too, Dr Hamilton so far seems to be a worthy villain. Can't wait for the next episode.

This is a great start! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love how you're writing Perry and how he got into GD, not ignoring the dive he took and how he can relate to Chloe that way. I'm wondering how much of the SV we should take into account, like did Chloe ever get captured by checkmate? I'm wondering how Amanda Waller fits in and have Chlollie only ever been friends? I was watching your credits, is Huntress played by Kayla Ewell? I just wanna be sure I'm picturing the right face lol. I love how everyone is just kinda finding their own way, same with Chloe, but she's still leading. I was wondering how Chloe was so kickass with fighting, so I loved the little mention 'that's thanx to Lois' Love the villains. The showdown between Chloe and Emil was one of favorite parts. Very exciting! I'm taking from this that Bruce is not Batman yet? I can't wait for the next episode!! This will be a great Chloe fix for the summer.

Wow, thanks Maria!! And thanks for the mark -- I'm so glad you LOVED it haha. Yeah, I really wanted to start Chloe in that sort of darker vibe and show that she's sort of lost. And I really liked the Perry/Chloe scenes in 'Perry' and which was why I was disappointed so much when 'Hostage' came around. I'm glad you liked this relationship -- it was a fun one of mine to really sink my teeth into. Haha, all part of the suspense. Yeah, the episode two "Prototype" delves straight into the Waller storyline. I only had two episodes to have Amanda Waller in and I wanted to juice this story out as it was really interesting -- so check out the next episode for all the details on Checkmate and all of that. A lot to set up in the premiere, the Chloe/Bruce will continue to develop. But first and foremost I'm trying to establish a Oliver/Bruce friendship because Bruce could really use a friend. I can't tell you how she left Metropolis/Smallville just yet, I can say the second episode gives you a lot of information on it. I had so much to write in this premiere that this couldn't really be told right off the bat -- had to keep the questions coming so that they can tune in for more. Chloe and Oliver haven't seen each other for three months (the gap between Smallville ending and Watchtower starting). And so they're not on the same romantic level as before -- but they will be...soon. You don't like Helena? Oh, you will in the next few episodes. She's a really dark character -- to write this show I had to really lessen the backstory of tragedy as much as possible. In the comics she was raped, violated, a lot of bad stuff and I felt that it was too much and too dark. And that if I wrote a character like that it may not be as realistic as the others; seeing as I'm not sure I can understand how a rape victim would feel and write for that character; let alone push them into becoming a hero when they've been raped. So its all tragic. She's one of my favourite characters. The Chloe/Helena scenes are always so fun. Plus: Helena is a Chlollier! Emil's a character in the comics who went evil, but was redeemed eventually in the end. I'd say this is his evil point, how he got there, can't say -- not yet. It may be explained in detail or in short, but in the third episode you'll learn more about it. So thanks Maria! I loved your review hehehe

Yep, there's a definate friendship brewing, but first, Oliver really needs to help Bruce out of his dark place -- and that'll take a few episodes. Thank you so much for reviewing -- and I can't wait for you to read the second episode!!

Everything you've seen on Smallville is canon. Its happened. Chloe was kidnapped by Checkmate, Chloe & Oliver were an item in the past. Its all happened. And yeah, Helena is played by Kayla Ewell! Haha, I'm glad you liked the shoutout to Lois. I was writing these scenes with Chloe and suddenly realised 'when did Chloe become such a good fighter?' so I had to tone it down a bit but realised Oliver's a fighter, Lois can fight, Chloe's bound to pick up a few moves or too.
And yes, haha, Bruce is not Batman yet. Thanks for reviewing, hehehe, I'm glad you enjoyed it! ;D

This was such an awesome start, it was written really well. Had some interesting questions pop up. What happened to turn Emil into the villian that he now is? Why did Chloe leave Smallville/Metropolis in the first place? Will Bruce get the 'justice' he asked Chloe for help with? Chloe was kick-a$$. Loved the little nods to Clark and Lois you had her do. Loved that she was actually out and about helping Ollie/Green Arrow instead of just sitting behind the desk at the computer. Oliver was his charming self, lol. Him driving in on his motorbike to get Chloe was really cool. Can't wait to see what happened to cause the tension betweeen him and Chloe. I'm gonna wait till episode 2 until i make a definitive judgement on Helena, just to get a further grasp of her character, but loved her fight in the Gotham Daily with Chloe. Loved what you did with Bruce and showing his darker side, a lot of people usually write him quite light instead and he certainly isn't a very light character. Loved his scfene with Alfred. Wonder if we are gonna see Robin show up at all or is he maybe gonna bond with Helena over their shared traumas. Can't wait to see what you do with Emil. To see what made him turn to the dark side. And as a Doctor Who fan, I giggled when they refered to him as 'The Doctor'.' Really looking forward to see what happens with this series. Thank you so much for reviewing the episode! I like to explain Emil's character in this show by saying not everything is Black and White. Emil is someone who wants to make an impact on the world -- he has this fantastic idea to enhance human capabilities by turning us all into metahumans (granting us power) but as the saying goes 'absolute power corrupts absolutely'. A war has started between Chloe and Emil over their disagreements. Emil wants to carry out these experiments but Chloe can see this turning into something terrible. How Emil turned evil to begin with, its uncertain at this point, but I can't stress enough that Emil is not just the villain -- he's got these dimensions of his character that, when explored in the next few episodes, you'll see his character break down and realise he's not just this big bad that wants to off Chloe Sullivan, but he's working for a purpose. And that purpose is bigger than anything else in his life, more important. And thanks! I figured that not referencing Clark or Lois or anyone in Chloe's life back in Smallville might upset a few fans and thought that I could reference them in a not so obvious way. Plus it helped with the story which was great! And speaking of Chloe, I'm glad you enjoyed her BAD-ASSERY because I thought the very same thing when writing 'I can't have Chloe behind a computer the entire series' and unless I showed that she could kick some a$$ in the pilot, it would be weird when she started to fight in another episode'. Helena seems to be the character readers haven't really grasped yet so its alright. The problem is, as much as I wanted Helena to ease into Chloe and Watchtower and become a 'good hero' to the fans, I had to show her perspective -- and where she's coming from. She's had this massive tragedy (more so than Bruce) where her entire family was wiped out; and she's wanting to be this vigilante superhero, but the thirst for vengeance is weighing her down. So in the pilot, to show that, I had to write a struggle, her coming to terms (her being welcomed into the Watchtower family by Chloe). So although Helena doesn't come across as 'on the side of good' and all, she's on their side -- but it would have been too easy and unrealistic if I had Chloe say "Vengeance is wrong", "Oh, okay, thanks Chloe" and they're done. So yeah, I'm hoping you'll feel the character in the next episode (she's absent in the third). Thanks again for reviewing!!
