General Series Idea:

The Idea for Mischief Managed Came of my love for harry potter. But I wanted to put my own spin on the legacy the movies and books have left, I want to create a series that tells the untold story of the years of the marauders who are such an iconic piece of the harry potter mythos.I want to take fans to the very beginning of the rise of lord voldermort and to The Beginnings of the First Wizarding war and the conception of the Order of The Phoenix. And The Struggles the wizarding world faced at the oppressive hands of voldermort.



Plot: Our Story starts in 1970 all over the wizarding world people are going missing and only one thing is certain Lord Voldermort and his followers are casting a black web over the wizarding world. Auroras are dispensed to use harsh methods to deal with the death eaters amassing at the doors of wizarding family's.

But We Aren't following Lord Voldermort, The Year is 1975 and the marauders James Potter,Peter Pettigrew,Sirus Black, Lilly Evans and Remus lupin are in there 6th year of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Having Been Exploring the grounds, Mooney, Padfoot, Wormtail and Prongs Create the marauders map.

Amongst Other Things there a dark times surfacing in and around Hogwarts. As the N.E.W.T Exams come around evil is once again rising in the wizarding world.

With War Brewing People are choosing sides, Death Eater or Order.

In 1979 unbeknown to Mooney, Padfoot Prongs. Peter Pettigrew has started passing valuable information to voldermort endangering all of their lives.



And So the Fist wizarding war starts, and lines are drawn and love is gained and lost in a world turning ever cold and death waiting at every corner will the fires of the phoenix engulf the swallowing death or will death takes its final victim!

Episode 0.1:The Rising -Lord Voldermort In time will come to be the most feared dark wizard, now we witness his rising to power!

Episode 1.1:Harder To Breathe-James,Sirus,Remus and peter are starting a new year at hogwarts.Now in their 6th year there homecoming is shatterd when aurors find a muggleborn dead in hogsmead villiage.

Episode 1.2:Moonlight & Wolvesbane-When The Boys Have to Escort Remus off the grounds and to the Shrieking Shack,but when Severus Snape Follows them James is forced to act quickly.

While I certainly LOVE the idea of a Harry Potter series, there are a few things I need to point out if you are going to continue with the idea.

First of all you need to check your spelling, I'm seeing errors all over the pitch, particularly with the word "Marauder". If your series is going to be about that group you should really get the spelling right. There are a few other things such as "Sirus" instead of "Sirius" and "Pronges" instead of "Prongs". I know this sounds picky, but it is very important to have all this stuff right to make your pitch and you show look accurate and professional.

Also I might check to see if Lucius and Bellatrix went to school at the same time as the Marauders. I believe from reading they are a bit older and went to school when Voldemort was there, but I am not certain. That isn't as such a big deal though I think.

On a much happier note, I love your casting I think everyone is very well cast! Katie as Bellatrix would simply BLOW MY MIND!!

I really love this idea and I am sorry if I come across as critical ( I only am because I see so much potential in a show like this and i love Harry Potter so much). I just think that some of these mistakes should have been checked before posting the pitch. Get them altered and you will be on the right track .

I have to agree with every point made by Kerry. My main concern with what you are suggesting is continuity. Being a HUGE HP fan myself I have already noticed a few continuity errors. You talk about a Mudblood murder that ruins the gangs homecoming, but the last mudblood to be murdered was Moaning Myrtle and she attended Hogwarts when Voldemort (aka. Tom Riddle) and Hagrid attended which was talked about in Chamber of Secrets. This happened before the Marauders attended Hogwarts. It's things like that you'll have to watch if you go through with a "prequel" type series.

Don't let this be discouraging because just like Kerry I would LOVE to see an HP VS here on theVPN. By the way, AMAZING casting! Really great choices!

I have to agree with everything Kerry and Darrin have mentioned. I would say get into research mode, big time. Making prequels is always a tricky task, because you have got to make sure your stories match up perfectly, or as close to perfect as possible. The continuity here needs a little work before the series can work as a whole, so I'm looking forward to your adjustments in that area.

Overall, I like the idea of the show, but like mentioned before, it could use a little reworking. Your casting is great, especially Katie McGrath as Bellatrix! That's just brilliant, perfect casting. Best wishes!

Ive Sorted The Time line errors i hope you guys like the new plot =)

Hey Benjy, there is still a lot of spelling and grammar errors in your pitch. I know it sounds like we're being fussy and nitpicking, but when it comes to script reading stuff like that will drive the readers nuts.

Also the timeline stuff I was referring to still hasn't been changed. (Check the episode guide) Tom Riddle and Hagrid were in school together when Moaning Myrtle was killed. The Marauder's didn't attend Hogwarts until years later. In Chamber of Secrets it was said that no one had been killed since that incident. So there is no way a mudblood could of died during the Marauder's stay at Hogwarts. That's contradicting the timeline already laid out by J. K. Rowling. This is the challenge of writing a prequel to an already existent world. You could easily change it from a student to someone else maybe at Hogsmeade... the town being so close to Hogwarts.

It's also a little too early to be posting position openings for a series that hasn't even been picked up yet. That's something you want to save until your pilot has been picked up.

I understand that you're extremely excited about this project (and with good reason) but if you don't take the time to develop this series thoroughly it will fall apart before it begins. Take it from me, we've all been there.
