Chris your a stronger man than I. I loved the pilot and watched all the way until the Austin Nichols episode than gave up, I still loved him but I just felt like while it was an okay show to watch when there was down time, I feel like it couldn't hold my interest as much as other shows do.

So, someone convinced me to check out the latest episode, and even though it was one of the better episodes of the season, I still don't think I'll be watching this one on a weekly basis. The reveal of how Coulson came back just did not do enough for me. But Skye was particularly good in this episode, I thought. I enjoyed her Melinda May impersonation; it was a lot of fun. Also, it was good to see Ron Glass back. But other than that, it was pretty 'average'.
I might give this a shot once the season is done. But for now, I'm calling it quits.

Season two is already shaping up to be much better than season 1, which only got good after The Winter Soldier hit theaters. One thing I'm liking already is the look of the show. It's a lot less glossy, and has a lot more grit to it. The characters I didn't find that interesting or believable in season one (Skye, I'm looking at you), are much more fleshed out and just presented a lot better. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. Hopefully, they can keep it up.

WARNING SPOILERS... So I thought I would take a moment and talk about how much I'm loving season two of AoS, I'm loving the build up and enjoying Coulson's story and waiting to see if he'll go over the deep end. I think it would be maybe interesting if he did, luckily the show is called Agent's of Shield and not Agent's of Coulson, so unlike Buffy or Angel, if Clark Gregg wanted out of the series it could be possible.. But I hope that doesn't happen because I do really love Coulson. I think the show has vastly improved over last year and especially in terms of characters, it's come to the point that with the exception of Ward, I can't pick a favorite, I love every moment we get to see Fitz, or Simmons, or Tripp, or Skye, Coulson, May, now Mac is a favorite, even though I couldn't tell who Nick Blood played in the first episode even Hunter has grown on me some. But if I had to close my eyes and pick just one, it would be Fitz... maybe also in a surprise Twist, Tripp, who I greatly despised last season probably because he came between Fitzsimmons, but by the end of season he had greatly grown on me. Fitz. WTF, that moment in the end of the premiere where we learned Simmons was an hallucination, broke my heart. I knew he was messed up so seeing that just made it ten times more real. Watching him struggle the bulke of this season has been such a high light. FItz's bond with Mac has been so much fun to see play out, and his moment with Hunter also pleasant, Fitz sort of becoming one of the guys, I want to see some tension build up between Mac and Simmons, sort of a, you broke him now i'm trying to fix him moment between the two would be cool. And actually, fans and critics were greatly upset because Fitz was with SHIELD at all, they couldn't understand why they would keep someone so "sick" around, but FItz was part of SHIELD when it went down so just like the rest of crew, he's a fugitive, he would be locked away in jail or maybe in a mental hospital I completely understood why he was there. Skye's journey also has been one of my favorites, watching her go from hacker to agent has been a nice transition to her becoming a much more empowered active character, it didn't even hit me until three where she was going through her father's clinic clearing the room like a cop would, and I was like wow... this Skye and the Skye from the pilot are very different. I'm interested to see her father's story flesh out as well, because right now he just reminds me of the Hulk... which I know isn't going to happen considering it's MCU.. But maybe he was inflected with the same problem as Bruce Banner was... who knows. ... I'll end my rant here for now, but there are more things I did enjoy, like Lucy Lawless, or Hayley Atwell, (Agent Carter!!!) I probably won't be giving up on Agent's of Shield as easily as I did last year, I think it's gotten so much better and even though I had my doupts last year I think it's a pretty solid not just Marvel series, but Joss one as well.

This show has improved so much since it began. Season two is insanely awesome, especially compared to season one. The growing pains are well out of the way, and the show just keeps improving. My favorite characters are Skye, May, and Fitz. Simmons and Bobbi are awesome as well. I pretty much like anyone but Coulson, haha. But if you've gotten stuck on the first season, I can assure you that it does get better! So, definitely catch up if you want the payoff!

What happened to this show? How did it become so good? I'm legit confused. It's brilliant.

What happened to this show? How did it become so good? I'm legit confused. It's brilliant. I KNOW, I legitimately love this show now, as opposed to trying desperately to love it when it started. All my friends quit after five episodes and now I'm begging them to come back!
