Revolution takes place in a post-apocalyptic future. Fifteen years earlier, an unknown phenomenon permanently disabled all advanced technology on the planet, ranging from computers and electronics to car engines and batteries. People were forced to adapt to a world without technology, and due to the collapse of public order, many areas are ruled by warlords and militias. The series focuses on the Matheson family, who possess an item that is the key to not only finding out what happened fifteen years ago, but also a possible way to reverse its effects. However, they must elude various enemy groups who want to possess that power for themselves.

Hands down, this is the top new show that I am looking forward to this Fall. The premise is so engaging and I am a really interested to see how the characters relate and function in a world with no electricity. I am very excited for this!

Revolution is my most anticipated series as well. I can't seem to ignore any show with JJ Abrams attached to it in some way, even though The Undercovers and Alcatraz were a bit disappointing, I always give his projects a chance. I think this one will work out, especially with Kripke involved.

I definitely agree. I seem to be attracted to his shows even if I do not know he is involved right away.

I love that Elizabeth Mitchell has joined the cast. She played my favorite character on LOST, and I know she'll be great on this show as well!

Anybody else watching this tonight? I know it's been released online already, but I want to watch it live like a normal person too. I'll more than likely be keeping up with the show via the web after the pilot.

I'm going to try my best to catch it! Unless, you know, school overtakes EVERYTHING, like it usually does. XD

Either way, I'm going to watch it. HAHAHA! I'm really hoping it's going to be good, because the reviews I read said it was alright. And it's on NBC, so... xD

So, yes, the pilot was actually good, but if you want to save yourself 43 minutes, just watch the trailer, because that's the whole thing in a nutshell. XD

^^ Exactly. LOL I figured the pilot would just be the trailer. They like revealed one tiny detail they never showed in the trailer but... yeah. Still pretty good though. I liked the "Well, why don't you go hang yourself" line.

I really enjoyed the pilot, saw it a couple weeks ago when the premiered it online, the one fight scene reminded me alot of Book Of Eli for some reason. Looking Forward to seeing more.

I wasn't so sure about this show after watching the pilot. Yes, it was decent, but I have to admit, I was expecting a little more from this show. The plot is great, but that's only half the battle. I have yet to find a character on the show that I can really latch onto, and actually care about. However, episode two pulled me in a little bit more. Most likely due to the fact that Elizabeth Mitchell's character is actually alive, and being kept prisoner by Monroe. I mean, I knew she wasn't dead. They wouldn't cast Elizabeth Mitchell, then only show her in flashbacks. You just DON'T do that. I'll keep watching, for now.

NBC has made the first back orders this fall, giving full-season orders to drama Revolution and comedies Go On and The New Normal. “We’re impressed with the imagination and creative direction of the entire team on Revolution, not to mention the immediately strong response we got from the audience,” said NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke.

I will admit I was looking forward to this show, but have given up on it after two episodes. I found the second episode quite predictable. Will I come back to it? Hm, maybe. I'll see if it gets a second season pick-up then go back and watch the first season.
