Aimee, I LOVE the recast! Not to say I don't LOVE Missy, but I LOVE Sophia as well. I think she could nail this role! I can't wait for the pilot! ;D Thanks Brady! Sophia is the only other person I could see in the role of Ryan, but I hadn't really given it much thought. So, thanks to Maddie for pointing it out to me again. I think she's just as perfect for it as Missy was. For now, Missy will just stay Spider-Girl XD |

I'm still really new to Sony Vegas, so I'm still learning and trying to get the hang of things. All things considered, I think they turned out pretty well. I tried 3-4 different songs, and will probably upload them eventually if the show is picked up, and I'll probably re-do the credits again when I learn a little more. But, I think the heavier, instrumental version of the original Mighty Morphin theme song worked just as well. Anyway, didn't mean to go on that tangent, lmao. Thanks again, Steve! |

Love the teaser. That first line:
is a wonderful piece of script as says so much with so little words.
One thing on page 3 I may have changed, the dialogue a little. Instead of in first dialogue of male voice, I'd maybe have gone with 'CHOSEN' instead of Power Rangers name mentioned? So roughly:
MALE VOICE (V.O.)
It was said that these six people, these... "chosen" for their immense strength, would be the ones to take down the Empire, which would reform around the same era.
And then in 2nd dialogue maybe drop Rangers name again and just say 'six'.
That's my suggestion as keeps mystery of the name a little still held back. Otherwise great start to the show.

Thanks for the feedback, Steve! I can see what you're saying about "chosen", but the reason I went with "Power Rangers" was for two reasons. First, "Power Rangers" are what the Mystics referred to them as, which is the basis for why Zordon ends up calling them "R.A.N.G.E.R.S". I felt it was important to sort of state that in the beginning, as when the script goes on he won't be explaining everything to the Rangers themselves. So it gives US the proper backstory, but leaving the characters in the dark. The second reason, and of course the most minor, is a shoutout to the original show.
We appreciate your comments, and can't wait to get the rest of the pilot out to see what you guys think of the episode as a whole ^^ I'm trying a sort of altered writing style for this series than I do with Outcasts, so I'm glad to see that it seemed to go over well.

Holy. Mother. Of. God.
I'm at a loss for words. IT WAS SO AMAZING.
It had a tad bit of mystery, humor, and the shot with the dinosaurs brought me back to when I was little, sittin' at home watching Power Rangers.
I think Joanna's introduction, even in just a teaser, was perfectly done. If I hadn't have read the pitch, I would have instantly known what type of character she was.
Anxiously awaiting the pilot! I love it so much!

Thanks, Brady! I didn't realize people would like it so much XD So that's definitely a nice feeling. The shot with the dinosaurs, is one of my favorite parts. I'm glad you like Joanna -- Maddie does a fantastic job with her characters and Jo is no different. I definitely see her being one of the fan favorites.
Definitely excited about finishing the pilot -- as if I wasn't already XD Thanks for the feedback!

I really enjoyed the teaser and I was so sad that it had to end. I am excited about the set up for this series and to see how similar, yet different, it will be from the original. I enjoy the episode titles so far and I am interested to see what you do with "The Red Candle" and how it will compare to "The Green Candle". Oh, wow! Brady that's awesome! I love it. I love the colored outlines around them, and how you color-coded their shirts. Or, in Dale's case, his tie. I love it!
