Thanks! I like the old font too, I thought it looked better aesthetically, but as for readability it was getting a little difficult on the later icons (that I haven't posted yet). I'll fish around for better options and try to find a happy medium.
As for the Zords, yes. Advanced power suits is the best way to put it, however, each Zord will have an ability that comes from its respective dinosaur. Flamethrowers, sonic waves, wind gusts, that sort of thing. As for them being "giant-size", not for a while. We have a plan for that, but it wouldn't come into play until later in the series. The power suits give them more mobility and the ability to fight, unlike the big, bulky Zords on the original show.
And the uniforms that I used in the images were a combination of the MMPR Movie and the MMPR TV series helmets, mixed with their power coin/dino images and the Iron Man suit from the first Iron Man movie. At least, I think it was the first. Maddie can correct me if I'm wrong. XD

Holy. Shit. This deserves the quote "I just nerded on the floor" from Reyna." ZORDS that are suits?.. UH, OMG. AMAZING. I'm sure you know how excited I am for this, but this made me even MORE excited. (Didn't even know that was possible.) ;D

Is Lord Zedd going to be in the series? He's one of my favorite Ranger Villains

peapotmaster - Lord Zedd will, at some point, make his way into the series. That's all I can say about him though. XD @brady - I'm really glad you like the idea! We felt like the big dinosaur zords would not only be a little ridiculous, but wouldn't work as well with the changes we've made to the series.

So how long did it take you to come up with something for RANGERS to stand for?

Actually, Miranda, our creative consultant, came up with it right then and there. XD So it was pretty quick.

The pilot is half-finished! Hopefully in the next week or two, there will be much more progress and we can post it by the end of this month/early April.

The fact that you're reformatting the original series for a more mature audience is something I really respect. Taking an idea, originally meant for young people, and turning into THIS? Wow, that, in and of itself, is pretty awesome. I confess to not having seen much of Power Rangers. Any of the generations, really, but from what I have seen, I can tell that an adult version of the how would be interesting to follow.
Looking forward to seeing how you organize the show, develop its plot and characters, while still staying, for the most part, true to the Power Rangers lore and story.

We're really excited about the show, and like I said before, hope to finish the pilot soon. We have a lot of ideas for where we want it to go, how much we're keeping and how much we're probably gonna change or twist. I really hope that it lives up to the expectations people have of it and that you guys like it as much as we do. It's my first step into sci-fi (I don't really count Outcasts as sci-fi even though I believe I did put it in sci-fi action drama, but oh well XD), though I'm not sure about the other writers -- so I hope that it goes over well. Thanks again for your thoughts, Jason! ^^

So instead of outlining the season like I SHOULD have been doing, I ended up making this. Damn photoshop being so distracting.

While I still like this reboot of the Rangers, here's what the original pilot looked like:
